 + -1 moreGreat service, right on time, price as quoted over the phone. -I contacted Banks Septic late yesterday afternoon, and they set up an appointment for mid-day today. When I called for the appointment - they noted the price for the inspection, and the price for the pumping (draining) - and that the price of the inspection would be deducted if the tank required draining. -Today they called ahead to let me know they were on the way, and arrived almost to the minute of their estimated arrival (5 minutes early), answered any questions, and then got right to work. -I was very pleased with their service, and would recommend them to anyone who needed septic tank service.

 + 0 moreThey came while I wasn't a home. When I got home and tried to flush the toilet the blockage was still there. They normally ask you to flush the toilet (while they are still at your home) to make sure it flushes. Of course, because I wasn't at home I couldn't do the flush test so they wouldn't have known that the blockage still existed. They were about 20 minutes away from my home when I called them. They came back, despite their busy schedule, and unplugged the blockage. I didn't have to pay them extra. That was good to hear. I did a few hours of research before I chose Banks - I have no regrets and I will highly recommend them to others. Great Job!

 + -1 moreWe had an emergency septic tank leak in our basement and I contacted Banks Septic immediately since it was highly rated on Angie's List. I was told that a tech would be at our home at 2:30pm.. The tech had even called to tell me he was on his way. Two hrs. later still a no-show. By 6pm I called them and and no answer. The tech called 5-6 hrs later to tell me that he was going to come at 8am the next morning....and that .he promised he would show up!!!!! I agreed since we were desperate to get the septic cleaned out before another major leak happened again. 8am the next morning still a no-show....I called the office and they assured me someone would come out. No one ever showed up......this company is TERRIBLE! BEWARE!

 + -1 moreSaturday afternoon we noticed the toilets were backed up in every bathroom. We figured it must be a septic system issue. WE had the septic tank serviced by one of the nationally advertised franchised companies 2 years ago...they charged us almost $8,000 to clean out the 16 year old tank, upgrade it by adding risers and a drainage field filter. The work was OK, but very expensive, so we were not going to call them again. We joined Angie's List after getting frustrated looking on Google for a septic company - we found many, but had no idea if they were any good. We then signed up on Angie's List and looked for a highly rated local firm. Banks Septic Service was very highly rated and had very positive reviews. We called them around 3pm Saturday and the phone was immediately picked up by their office. They took down our information and had a technician call us back within 15 minutes. The technician had us describe the problem. He told us he had several call ahead of us, so would be a couple of hours, but would check to see if another technician was available. At 4pm, another technician arrived at our house. Very professional and clearly knew what he was doing. He quickly dug up the risers and showed us how the tank was completely full and the drainage filter was completely clogged with toilet wipes (these were labeled as OK for septic tank use!). He removed the filter to test whether the drainage field was ok...which luckily it was. He then pumped out the tank, cleaned out the filter and had everything back together within an hour. Could not be happier with the service. Banks came through when we needed them! and...Angie's List works!

 + -1 moreOur septicsystem was backing up though not overflowing. The repair involved extensive digging up of the lines in the front yard. This meant that the county had to send someone out to mark the location of the underground utility lines--which they got completely wrong. So Banks Septic (Billy) had to get them out again to correctly locate the lines, which turned what should have been a 1 day job into a 2+ day job. Through it all the Banks Septic folks were patient and easy to deal with. They got the repairs done for a reasonable price and I highly recommend them.

 + -1 moreover the Christmas Holidays 2011 we used Banks to drain the septic tank. Then called them back in Feb 2012 to drain lines again and put in new Drain Field lines. Our home is 30 years old and needed new lines. All the other home in on the street had the work done over the past several years. So it was our turn. Banks was very professional and did great start to finish work. The back yard was cleaned up when they finished, We put down new grass. Great price, I used the $25 coupon and also got discount because I was a repeat customer. I have given there name to several other homeowners in the area. Very punctual when we needed them to drain the tank. Thanks

 + 0 moreI was feeling pretty desperate about my septic tank. I wasn't even sure where it was located! The 2 men who came to my house found it in about 10 mins. They were prompt, courteous, friendly, & knowledgeable. They did a great job within 30 minutes, and charged me exactly what the estimate was. They didn't try to "sell" other services; just told me how to manage the septic system so I won't have any more problems. I'm sure that I will need to have my septic tank cleaned again, but not for several years. When I do, I will definitely call Banks!

Description of Work: They opened the septic tank and siphoned out the water & scam. They said the tank was not in back condition. the reason it had back up was the surrounding ground was saturated with water from heavy rains the past few days. We had drenching rains a couple of days earlier. The two techs were on time, friendly, courteous and willing to answer questions. I would recommend them and will call them again if I have the need.

Description of Work: We had a back up into our tubs and overflowing toilets Thursday morning. My husband called ANOTHER company to come out that afternoon. They arrived and before they even touched the ground the were talking about "major issues" when a system backs up. They told me that just pumping it out would not fix the problem. There was probably a blockage and that was going to cost a lot more to find. They said thousands. When I questioned how they could possibly know before even looking, they said the had been doing it for years and just knew. I was then told they could do it for $500, but they would not give me a receipt and wanted cash. That helped me decide not to trust them. I let them leave and immediately joined Angie's List. I saw other reviews of Banks and called right away. It was after 7 p.m. And I got their answering service. I was called back within the hour and was told they would fit me in the next day. I was at work and got a call around noon that they were on their way. My sons were home and said the guys were very nice and got right to work. They called a while later to tell me everything was fixed. They cleaned and replaced our filter (it had popped off-something the other company had told me wasVERY bad). Apparently it happens with blockages. They drained the septic, which had not been serviced since 1999 when the house was built. There was a major blockage from grease build up at the entry to the tank from the house. Teenagers doing dishes apparently need to be told not to pour grease down the sink. This was cleaned out at no additional charge. Th tank was emptied except for about a foot because their truck was full. I received a discount on the service for this. I have a 1500 gallon tank which is large, so after 14 years I can't imagine that one foot casing any problems. They said my drain field was working fine. I was thrilled to pay the $319 and know everything was working properly. They had my sons flush both toilets several times to be sure the system was flowing before covering it back up. Thank you Banks!,,,,, We will have our system serviced every few years by you for as long as we live in the area.

Roger called to advise he was 30-45 minutes away. Their work was excellent beginning with my initial call and ending with the completion of the job. No surprises or pricing issues! Angie's List members receive a $25 discount which is awesome! I will use this company again and refer them to anyone who needs septic services!!

 + -1 moreWhen we called Banks Septic, they said it would arrive about mid day. They called to let us know they were on the way and approximately how long it would take to arrive. They arrived about 30 minutes before expected. When they arrived, they explained what they were going to do. Once they had found the problem, they explained the problem (caused by the previous company which services our tank ? which is out of business). They showed us the issue and pointed out what they had found and what needed to be done. The work was completed (from arrival to departure) in about 1.5 hrs. Everything was cleaned up and the area was put back to its original condition. Very professional and friendly. EXCELLENT WORK. We hope to not need them any time soon but we will not hesitate to call Banks Septic Tank Service.

Roger called me about 45 minutes before the schedluled time to let me know that they were on the way, they actually arrived a bit before the schedule time. After arriving Roger & Javier explaining what they were going to do and then went right to work. Did their job, cleaned up and covered the tank back up. They were very professional and friendly. They both represent the Banks Septic Service company in an excellent manner. I would not only do business with Banks again, I would not hesitate to recommend them to my friends and neighbors.  + -1 moreI have a high level of trust in these folks. No surprises, finished ahead of schedule, competent, thorough, knowledgeable, courteous and professional. They explained to me everything that they did and why they did it. After they emptied the tank and cleaned the clogged filter, we discussed how the tank and drain system works. The sinking should stop now that the clogged drain is cleared. And I know what I need to do for the sinking areas.
Description of Work: They arrived about 10 minutes ahead of schedule, and introduced themselves. I showed them the general location of the septic tank and described the problem with long thin depressions in the back yard. They diagnosed the problem (clogged tank exit filter) and drained the tank and cleared the blockage at the filter.

 + -1 moreI had called several places and only two called me back. Banks called back early Monday morning, gave me the price over the phone, and had the guys out the next day. The techs were polite and on time, but did have some trouble locating my septic tank. I did show them the approximate position, but, apparently, it was buried unusually deeply. Ultimately, the did find it (where I said it was) and did the job quickly and without issue, leaving my yard in good condition. The price they asked was the same as the other septic company's fee, so I assume it was standard. It wasn't out of line, but I hope they will give a discount to a repeat customer.

 + -1 moreMy past experience with septic companies has been very, very bad. From what I've been told, it is traditional a rather "sketchy" industry...and that has always been my personal experience. We have used two other septic companies in the past and each time we felt that we had been very "taken" afterwards....add-on costs, and ridiculous up-charges, etc. This is NOT the case with Banks Septic. They quoted me exactly what the charges would be, and that is EXACTLY what they were. I felt that I was dealing with a stellar, honest company, that was not out to get me. They called me back immediately and got me in their the schedule the very same day. They gave me a time frame of when they would be out to do the work, and said that they would call as they were on their way. That is exactly what happened. They came out, and were very respectful of my property and very professional. I will ALWAYS use Banks for any and all of my septic needs. Don't bother calling anyone else....These guys are the best!

The crew that came out at first did not seem to have the complete story so I perhaps should have made that clear but Matt Banks stopped by a few days later to check out the issue himself after the tank had been pumped. Description of Work: A few weeks after having the septic tank pumped sewage started to come out from the clean-out by the house, My renter reported this to me on a Sunday night (3/17) at which time I spoke with Matt and they got a crew out the next day on Monday. The crew found a clog in the drain line near the septic tank. It was said to be grease and paper causing the clog. Banks Septic advised the resident not to put grease down the drain. The next day on Tuesday 3/19 the renter again reported the same condition. I different crew/person from Banks came out this time and again found a clog in the drain between the house and septic. They did not charge for this second visit as it seemed they did not completely clear the drain the first time.
