Showed up on time and completed roof in 1 1/2 days because I needed all new decking otherwise they would have finished in one day. Happy with roof and Doug is easy to work with and answered all my questions.

I met with probably 7-8 roofing companies after weather caused roof and gutter damage to my very old roof.Most of the estimates I received were comparable.I chose Award Roofing because they were very responsible and appeared to be very knowledgeable and very pleasant.Anytime I called someone answered or returned my call within a decent amount of time.They showed up when they stated and my roof was done in one day.They walked me around to inspect the roof and explained everything to me. I felt like I was in good hands.They went above and beyond and even saved money I would have paid out of pocket by encouraging me to just repair my gutter rather than totally replace it.So, I have a few good years on my gutter before I have to replace it .And I will definitely call them when it is time.This was one of the best experiences I have had dealing with repairs for my home .They are the best!

We were unsure of which color to select, but Doug Horsley brought large shingle samples, explained color tones, and helped us make a great choice. Award's amazing crew did this 33-square roof in one day! They cleaned up nicely, including magnet-pickup of stray nails. Doug and his foreman Justin kept in contact with us throughout the process and afterward. The dumpster was removed promptly the following morning. The roof is beautiful and we are very pleased.

Award Roofing did an outstanding job and went above expectations. They fixed all items that needed to be repaired and they sealed all exposed nails on vents, pipe boots, etc. I used the $315 tune-up offer and was a bit hesitant to pay for service up front, and was afraid that our relatively small job would be pushed to the bottom of their list. But that was NOT the case. They were onsite within 2 days and all the work was completed above and beyond my expectations. The tech that came onsite was very professional and courteous. As requested, he called before he came and gave us an accurate estimate of what time he would arrive. After he was done he gave a thorough explanation of all the work he had completed. Overall it was a great experience and we will definitely recommend Award Roofing Co. to all our friends!

It went great. The crew arrived when they were supposed to. They were very attentive to detail and kept the yard mess free. They kept to the schedule and finished the roof quickly. We were very pleased with the service and quality. The price quote was pretty accurate and everything was explained well. We had a great experience with Award roofing and would recommend them to anyone who needs quality, reliability, and affordability!

The roof was replaced in 1 day, totally seemless since I was at work. The roof looks great and the crew cleaned up so well after themselves, I could hardly tell they were there!

Doug was contacted when we were negotiating the purchase of our home. He gave a rough estimate that we could use in negotiating with the previous owners. Once the purchase was finalized Doug arranged the details. The entire process was professional and the product superior. We highly recommend this contractor.

After a home inspector found my roof to be defective and damaged, I contacted Award Roofing. Doug was out at my house a day or two later to look at the roof and provide an estimate for a complete replacement. The new home owners to be wanted to choose the roof so Doug worked closely with them during this process. The roof was done in a day and the men came back to clean up the next day. Doug went above and beyond with getting information to me regarding what I needed to do with the defective roof even offering to help should I need it. I felt he was honest, trustworthy, and would not hesitate to recommend him.

Water had dripped through an HVAC vent into our bedroom during two recent rainstorms and my foray into the attic had not revealed any problems in the roof. I checked Angie's list and noticed that Award offered a Roofing Tune-up for $315, so I bought it online and called to schedule an appointment with Doug. Two days later, Justin arrived in the morning, went up to the attic and found right away where the leak was coming from. Up to the roof he went, first doing the tune-up work by sealing around every vent and opening that needed it. The leak came from an old satellite dish that had been poorly installed on top of shingles, so the dish came off the roof, a proper new roof water and vapor barrier was installed, and matching spare shingles from my basement were installed on top. All of this was shown to me with photos when Justin finished. He knows his stuff and is very professional. The Tune-up fee covered all of the work that was done. Outstanding service!

I called Doug Horsely at Award Roofing after a home inspector said our whole roof needed to be replaced. I wanted an expert opinion from an actual roofer, and given the great responses Award Roofing received on Angie's LIst, I called them. Doug came out, hopped right up on the roof and looked over all of it (even the upper part), and even wrote a report for me with what he saw--he believes there are certainly issues with the roof but not enough to warrant a full replacement at this point. I told him I'd pay him for his time, but he told me that kissing a lot of frogs is just part of the job before he finds a prince/princess. :-) Had I needed to replace the roof or have any major work done, I would have completely trusted Doug to do it, and I'm leaving his information for the new homeowners for when they need it in the future. Doug could have easily told me that we needed to replace the roof to help the sale go through, but he was honest and even went over and above for me, knowing I was just a frog. You should definitely consider using Award Roofing--Doug will treat you fairly and with respect for your needs!

For three leaks, we called Award Roofing and two other firms. One never returned the phone call. Another said they were booked up for the next month and a half. Doug Horsley took the call from a job site and came over to inspect the roof. He found the source of one leak, but said the chimney caps (not the roof) were the source of two others. He told me that the roof was at end of life anyway, which I knew, but I wondered if it might be due to hail damage. When the insurance adjuster came to the house, Doug arrived (early) and walked through the house with him. I mentioned to the adjuster that we had hail in the neighborhood and asked if this could be related. He agreed we should do a roof inspection and arranged for another adjuster. It took FIVE more visits by insurance adjusters before one was able to get on the roof (the first adjuster wasn't qualified, then weather prevented the adjuster from getting on the roof safely). ALL five times, Doug Horsley drove to our house and made himself available to the adjuster to answer questions. When the adjuster was finally comfortable getting on the roof, Doug helped him with his balance and safety. I think partly due to Doug's patience, we were able to get a new roof from the insurance company due to hail damage. Award Roofing started the work sooner than promised. There were no surprises on the charges. In fact, Doug Horsley found some upgraded valley flashing on the original roof the adjuster should have caught, took photos, and worked with the insurance company to increase the claim value to account for it. We paid exactly the deductible. The workmanship seems excellent and the cleanup was great (not a nail in sight). There were little touches that spoke volumes about personal values. Doug pruned a tree in our driveway so the dumpster could be placed there without catching on the tree. When I opened the garage door to provide an outlet for his leaf blower to blow off the driveway, Doug blew the leaves out of our garage (that had been there since last fall). He alerted us not to park in the driveway until he had cleared the nails. And he happily fixed a light bulb on the corner of the house that was broken by his crew. Most importantly, I never felt I was getting a sales pitch. These are little things which give me confidence that the roof will last a long time and Award Roofing will stand behind their work. I could not be happier with the experience and will gladly recommend them to anyone.

Doug was great. Very responsive, professional and just a nice, honest person overall. The crew worked hard and cleaned up well. We were happy with the results and would recommend to others.

The entire process of working with Award Roofing was professional and timely. Doug Horsely was prompt and offered great advice in coordinating the roof replacement with our insurance company. The crew did a great job replacing the roof. Doug personally called the insurance company when the insurance adjuster made an error in the estimate. The architectural shingles are beautiful. Highly recommend working with this company.

Service was prompt and thorough. Provided a great rate -- followed up and confirmed that everything was happy before asking for payment. A whole roof in one day, working from winter dawn to winter sunset, just a bit of cleanup around the house the next day (including drag magnet for nails, thank you! Did a sufficiently-thorough job that the squirrel-removal folks -- who had noted that the roof was aging when they also estimated $1300 for squirrel-exclusion -- came back and reported that the roof was tight against both water and squirrels everywhere, so no longer needed squirrel-exclusion.

Everything went very smooth. Doug came out right away to provide an estimate and was a big help with selecting the right color and type of shingles for our home. Every question we had was promptly answered and once the work was scheduled the team arrived and performed the work exactly as it was explained to us. Our roof looks great and the work team were polite and professional. I would highly recommend Award Roofing. We had three estimates and Award was very competitive on price and performance was 5 star.

Doug came and gave a very competitive estimate, and said he would work with our insurance company. When we finally decided to go with Award, we were going through a rainy period, so it took about a week for the weather to allow him to send a crew. They arrived early when they said they would and replaced the roof in a single day, and cleaned up after they left. Doug even called my husband and suggested an additional vent for our washer and dryer, and mu husband said that that was not something he had thought about. The gutter man came very early the next Tuesday, and completed his work by noon. He also sent his bill to the insurance company and worked with them to increase what they have initially offered. Very pleased.

.After calling Award Roofing for an estimate Doug Horsely scheduled a date when he would come to my house. Doug was very personable and professional. He took the time to explain all the things that I needed to know that was specific to the roof on the house and garage. He told me he would email the estimate the next day or so and if I had questions to let him know. After I got the estimate and looked over all the info, I decided to do business with Doug. We scheduled a date that fit both of our schedules. On the day the roofing started Doug let me know when the shingles would arrive and when the crew would be there to start the job. I was pleasantly surprised when the shingles were delivered at the scheduled time and the crew was there ready to work just as Doug told me they would be. Doug also was there to ensure the job started the way he wanted it done. The crew was hard working, professional and personable. Doug went the extra mile to deal with my stubborn gutter helments to make them look better with the new roof.. My new roof looks great and Doug was a pleasure to work with!!!

We had a great experience with Award Roofing Co. Doug was prompt, communicative, and personable. Our replacement roof was due to an insurance claim, and Doug was very knowledgeable about the process of working with the insurance company. He touched base often along the way to make sure things were moving smoothly. Doug even caught an error made by the adjuster in his gutter calculations and documented his findings with pictures that we were able to submit back to then insurance company. His catch saved us nearly $250. We are very happy with our roof and gutters and would definitely recommend Award Roofing to our friends.

This company was honest, prompt and professional. Doug advised me of my options, made suggestions and was all around wiling to help every step of the way. My new roof is beautiful and I simply enjoy gazing upon this upgrade in admiration. I also had an issue with a section of one of my gutters on the back side of the house. It had become completely disconnected from the main gutter system. It needed to be rerouted in order for the water to flow at all. The labor for this task was was included in the overall price. I would recommend Doug to any homeowner who would like to deal directly with an owner and know their home is being taken care of by a reliable, reputable and conscientious firm.
