ACCUSPECT HOME INSPECTIONS INC

I joined Angie's List to look for home inspectors and movers near my area and Accuspect Home Inspections came up top as they had more than 97% "A" grade reports and several Page of Happiness nominations. After working with Gary, I understand why his customers were very delighted with him. So, on June 5th, I contacted Accuspect and left a VM on their phone as I needed an estimate for their service. Magaera called back within an hour and she was very professional, courteous and knowledgeable. She provided a quote which was fairly cheaper than the rest of the companies I contacted. I set up the appointment with her and she sent me an email to confirm the set date. On the day of the inspection, Gary showed up early and was already set up and ready to work when I arrived at the house. He introduced himself and explained the method of his inspection. He was very polite, patient, very courteous and definitely knows his stuff. After roughly walking through the entire house, he mentioned that Magaera over quoted me depending on the description I gave her and he reduced the price from the actual quote. It took him about 4+ hours to inspect the home and during the inspection he was courteous enough to show me and explain to me the items that needed to be serviced or repaired. He also pointed out that the water heater was not installed as per code and it needs to be replaced with a larger capacity to comply with the code. At the end of the inspection, Gary discussed all of his findings with me and went through the report summary so i will have a good understanding of the items that needs to be addressed by the builder. On that same day I received a FULL report with pictures attached to his findings marking out the area that needs to be serviced, repaired or replaced. On the day of the walk through, I presented the inspection report to the construction manager and he was very impressed with his findings and the pictures of the roof and he mentioned, "You don't see many inspectors actually climbing on top of the roof to inspect. They usually climb on the ladder and inspect the roof staying on the ladder" So, if you are looking for a home inspector that is very knowledgeable, honest and professional, look no further. Accuspect home Inspections are the best!! I highly recommend Gary.

I needed a home inspection completed within a very short window of time. I submitted information on the website, and had an affirmative response within an hour. Gary provided a very detailed and thorough inspection, pointing out areas of concern, and providing a very honest assessment of the condition of the home. He emailed both a long version and summary version of his report -even sending a revision when he remembered something else he wanted to document for us. He encouraged us to ask questions of him when we received the report and into the future. Absolutely excellent service!

I called AccuSpect Home Inspections, Inc. to inquire about a home inspection. I spoke with Megaera, who was professional, courteous and knowledgeable. She answered each of my questions and sent me a sample inspection report within minutes of our phone conversation. Having already talked to a few other companies I knew immediately that this was the one I was going to hire. We exchanged several emails to work out the details and get the paperwork done, they were responsive and helpful each step of the way. On inspection day Gary, the owner, showed up early and was already setup and ready to work when I arrived. He took the time to introduce himself and go over his method for home inspection. I asked him all kinds of questions about the process and the house. He was very patient and made sure I got answers to my questions. It's obvious that Gary knows his trade. He spent about 7 hours in the house. Gary told me up front that he was not there to catalog the cosmetic problems in the home, so his time was spent inspecting the things that really matter. He identified several code violations as well as a few other items that just needed to be serviced or repaired. He also documented the locations of shutoff values and regulators. He discussed all of his findings with me after the inspection giving me a good understand of the nature and severity of the issues. I received a summary and full report the same day of the inspection. AccuSpect was not the cheapest home inspector I contacted so if you are looking for the least expensive option to satisfy a contractual obligation this company may not be for you. But if you want a home inspection that you know you can trust and a customer focused experience you should give them a call. I highly recommend them.

I am buying a foreclosure and was told at the last minute by the insurance company that I needed a home inspection before the house could be insured. We weren't planning on getting an inspection because I didn't feel like the house needed it because it is a fairly new house in excellent condition. I went online and emailed 6 different home inspection companies to get a quote. In every email I told them I was getting several quotes and I was going to go with the lowest estimate. All the companies with the exception of Accuspect were very helpful and friendly when they called or emailed me back and gave me very detailed explanations of their services and the cost of the inspection. Gary from Accuspect responded to my quote request with one word: No. He did not give an explanation of why he would not give me a quote, just the word no. I thought this was very unprofessional. I ended up using Solutions Home Inspection. Tony from Solutions Home Inspection was very thorough (it took 3 hours) and he charged a flat rate of $250. He was also the first person to respond to my request for a quote.

Gary did a great job. Really clean work and a detailed neat report. He took his time (3-4 hours) for a single family home and didn't miss anything. I had the report with pictures in no time. I would highly recommend him for a home inspection.

I found Gary through Angie's List and sent an email to request the service. Gary's wife called me within an hour to set up the appointment. Gary arrived right on time and was ready to get to work. He invited us to follow him through the inspection if we wished to do so. He stopped to show us things when necessary. We had a weak battery in a smoke detector on a 13" ceiling. Gary offered to get up on his ladder and change it for us. We also noted a heating vent that hummed constantly - Gary was able to adjust the vent so the humming stopped. He walked the roof, which is quite steep, and was so thorough that he found a nail hole in a shingle. He spent well over 4 hours on the job, then sent a comprehensive report with pictures later that evening. Gary is completely professional, very personable, and I would recommend him without hesitation.

Very professional, great communication skills best inspection report I have ever seen. Will defiantly use Gary in the future and will recommend to others who are looking for a detail professional home inspection.

They inspected our house prior to we moved out in October. He is professional, thorough, and walked us through the whole report. It was two extremely detailed reports with pictures and diagrams of everything noticed. At the time of moving in, I heard a few questions. I heard a noise coming from the ceiling while returning from shower. I didn't know what they were. I called him up and he came back out on his free time and listened if it was false or active.

Gary found about 20 items that need to be addressed and which ones are the top priority to get done before I his radon test found the house had high radon levels but he calmed me down and told me it can be address very easily. He also had some concern about a support beam supporting an addition across the garage. He recommended a structural engineer to come dig into the drywall and confirm the beam was the correct size. I had lost of questions for Gary as we walked the house and I was still calling him asking questions days later and Gary has helped me out with all of them. He gave me three reports a summary report with all the issues. A full report about 47 pages. And a radon report. I would have no problem recommending Gary to anyone. He is through cares about his job, and funny. Thanks for your help Gary.

He was really well informed and helped us to understand what was going on. He was very thorough and educated. He was very pleasant and patient to work with. He answered all questions and was very knowledgeable. He made it an easy process and he was on time as well even with an hour travel.

Accuspect Home Inspection exceeded my already high expectations. I am new to the Atlanta area and was in need of a home inspector. Gary had high reviews on Angies list so I called him to perform my home inspection. I currently live out of town so he was able to inspect my house the next day. Gary was able to start the home inspection without my presence. He then reviewed all his findings with me on paper and walked me through the trouble areas of the house. He spent a generous amount of time explaining in detail all of his finding and answered all of my questions. Not once did I feel like I was being rushed. The house is over 25 years old so it had some wear and tear I could easily see. Gary was able to identify the items not in plain sight. He uncovered issues related to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, Windows and other items. Gary?s followed up his inspection with a summary and detailed report explaining everything we have reviewed in person. I was able to use this report in negotiating a final sale price for my future house. I would highly recommend Accuspect/Gary to anybody looking for a home inspector in the Atlanta area.

This was the first vendor I have ever used from Angie's List, and my experience with Accuspect was absolutely perfect. I went to their website and filled out the contact form late on a Friday evening and received a call from Megaera on Sunday, much to my surprise and delight. The appointment was booked quickly and Mr. Edge was early arriving to the inspection. He was extremely thorough, and was kind enough to explain to my husband and I - who are purchasing our first home - every step of the process. The inspection report was delivered on time exactly when promised. I would recommend - and have already recommended - this company to my friends and family without reservation. The price was more than fair (and thanks for including the Angie's List discount!) and the service was impeccable.

Gary arrived at the house before me. He conveniently had a code to the lockbox, so we didn't have to wait for my agent. He methodically stepped through the house and noted everything important. As this is my first house inspection, he also informed me of several useful bits of house-owning information, such as the locations of the main water and gas sources. All told, he spent about six hours at this inspection. He was very thorough, and his documentation was also stellar. The detail he provided allowed me to clearly describe to the seller the problems with the house, and he agreed to fix the majority of the items Gary found. The value of the items repaired was well over 10 times Gary's inspection fee, actually making me money with the purchase of this house. I recommend Gary most highly.

They were excellent! They gave me a $25 off of my cost because he was going to be late. They were very curteous. They did a very thorough job of checking everything. I was very pleased with him.

After reading all the positive reviews I contacted Gary and asked a few questions about his services. He is extremely professional and knowledgeable. I asked him specifically if he gets on roofs to inspect the roofs and he said absolutely. I could not have been more satisfied with his services. He spent time with me at the house pointing out the main things that needed to be addressed upon moving in. I cannot stress the importance of having someone point out the things and give you tips to fix them. He was extremely thorough and was never hurried to finish the job. He emailed me the detailed report that evening as he said he would. I would 100% recommend him to anyone looking for home inspection.

Everything went very well, and I have no complaints about the services performed. The price was fair, the inspection was thorough, communication was excellent, and the report was clear and comprehensive. I have been through several pre-purchase home inspections, and my experience with AccuSpect was by far the best among them. I was able to have several items addressed before closing, and I also have a maintenance roadmap for the house going forward. Highly recommended.

The process was seamless from beginning to end. I contacted Accuspect, spoke with Gary's very helpful wife who e-mailed me the contract. We made the appointment for a few days later at 9:00 am. On the inspection day Gary was on site at 8:30 am. We reviewed the process, he accepted the check on site and began the inspection. Gary was every bit as knowledgeable and thorough as his reviews claim. I am a construction industry professional as well, and I know a lot about buildings. Gary probed every crevice of the home and uncovered items that had been missed by one of my colleagues. I needed to leave after about an hour and returned later after a meeting. Gary discussed with me items he found and areas of concern. The home had deficiencies that could have easily caused me buyer's remorse had they not been discovered. I am in the process of negotiating the repairs outlined on the very concise, detailed and professional report, or lowering the price of the house. If this doesn?t work out, I would certainly use Gary again. Thank you Accuspect you were worth every penny!

Made an appt. with Gary's office, he came to our house a few days later. Arrived early and started immediately, even though we weren't there yet. Found all sorts of things that our contractor had missed and we are now able to add to our punch list and have completed. The water was turned off in out house so he couldn't inspect the water system, so gave us a discount. But then drove all the way back across town at the end of the day to check if it was back on or not, so he could try to test us. We didn't even ask him to do this! A few weeks later the water system was ready to test and Gary responded quickly to an appt. request and charged a minor fee. He provides a VERY detailed report of all of his findings and whether or not they meet code. He also provides a summary of the detailed report so that you don't have to read the whole thing if you can't make it through. The report includes color photos of each item and was prepared and emailed to us late in the evening on the day of his inspection. Plus, he gave us a follow up call and even called an engineer friend to check on the structural integrity of a balcony. This man is very nice, honest and fun to talk to. He gave us lots of tips and ideas of how to fix things on our own. Has an excellent work ethic.

Gary is best in business. As a first time home buyer, we had many questions. Gary spent a lot of time with us, explaining every single aspect of Inspection. He is extremely professional and understands his job well and very responsive. We asked him – how much will it cost to fix everything that he has found in inspection – although not his line of business – his estimation was pretty accurate when compared to the general contractor estimate. We will surely recommend his services to everyone we know.

We received the recommendation from Angie’s List and could not have asked for a better experience. We enjoyed the experience so much we used Gary for a subsequent house inspection (schedule to occur this weekend). I recommend Accuspect (Gary Edge) without reservation or qualification.

The quality of the service from start to finish was very pleseant. Calls were answered promptly and all questions were answered. I hired them to inspect a home that my parents are planning to move into. I'm so pleased that I'm thinking of using them for inspection of my own home (radon testing).

All the rave reviews I saw on Angie's List about this company were true! Gary was very professional, punctual and friendly. We were in the process of purchasing a home. Gary performed a thorough inspection and submitted a detailed report with pictures to let you know exactly what he found. Although we did not buy that particular house, we definitely plan to continue using Gary to help us with our next home purchase! The inspection was worth the money!
