I contacted this company and they claimed not to be on Angie's list but I went ahead and asked for a quote. I think I may have paid to much money because they sub contracted the job. The guys who came out to to the work were great and I added a review for their company so that is why I marked this review down in price and overall.

Seemed confused as to why I wanted regular maintenance checks on my AC unit. Only changed then filters and charged us $100 labor, then told us to call if any problems arise. Did not seem to think yearly checks were needed. On hiring a new company, we have found extensive mold in our units. Very dissatisfied.

It was a very positive experience (as it always is with Dockery's!). Grant and Jamie arrived on time first thing in the morning and went right to work. Glad I didn't try to do this myself, because the ceiling was "creatively" wired, and they had to determine correct method to attach the wires so they would work from the wall switch. First fan went up and worked without problem. Second fan was wobbly, and there were no balancing weights with these fans (they were marked down items from Lowe's for Memorial Day sale). I asked the guys to take the wobbly fan apart and I would take it back and exchange it and reschedule another visit. I figured I would be looking at wires protruding from the ceiling until we could reschedule. I was wrong. After I exchanged the fan, I called Dockery's and asked Teresa about rescheduling. She called the guys right then and they said they would go ahead and come back after lunch. Same day! They arrived just a short time after I returned from Lowe's, installed the second fan in minutes. YAY! No wobble. I highly recommend Dockery's to anyone. They have worked on my plumbing, electrical, and HVAC system for the last 4 years. Buying a foreclosure on auction can bring many surprises, and this house is no exception. Dockery's has always been there on time, completed quality work in a professional manner, and cleaned up before they left. Their prices are slightly higher, but not enough to make me want to look elsewhere.

Description of Work: They complained the whole time about how hard the job was (even though my husband cut out the concrete wall), refused to guarantee their work, told me their work might not fix the problem, charged me an outrageous amount ($75 for a 10 ft piece of pipe of which they used 4 inches). They charged me for a service call when it should have been an estimate. When I called with my concerns, I was treated rudely. I asked other folks about them and several told me they were overpriced.

I asked for an estimate for a new heating/cooling system in march 2014.the technician came to my home and did a check to see what was needed. After 6 weeks I had to phone to request they notify me of the estimate. I finally received the written estimate in may 2015 which was after I had committed to another contractor. Their estimate was 25% more than any of the other estimated I had gotten.e

They replaced a 3 inch pipe and they put in a vent in the sewage line so that it could be easily cleaned out if it ever got stopped up. It didn't have that before. They quoted me $2000 for the job and when they found that it couldn't work initially because the septic tank was full of sand they still went ahead and fixed that for the same $2000. They go beyond what I asked them to do and they didn't charge any more for it. They did a good job. The quality of the work is excellent.

I have called Dockery's for my plumbing and electrical needs for the last 3 years. They are always quick to respond, professional and thorough in their work, and arrive on time. Tony is a wonderful plumber and goes above and beyond the call of duty. I am a very satisfied customer and will use them again!

Description of Work: Evaluated HVAC system that wasn't cooling and added freon. Have used this contractor several times in the past and have always found their work to be very good and their prices to be very reasonable. They came to my home well after 8:00PM to address a problem I had. I believe them to be honest, efficient and reasonably priced. Would highly recommend them.

This company is the best! Upon my arrival to my vacation cabin, I discovered leaking pipes caused by extremely low temps in January. By the time I found the leaks, it was almost closing time, but Tony came anyway. He found several pipes cracked, some had burst, and the toilet in one of the bathrooms had cracked. He went to work immediately replacing the cracked pipes and searching for any new ones. During this search, we found the pipes under the kitchen sink had also cracked, so he went to work replacing those. Not only is most everything working great, but the plumbing now looks so much better than it did before. This was a foreclosed home I had bought on auction, and it looks like the plumbing was a DIY project, not professionally done. I have used Dockery's on several occasions, with gas, electrical and plumbing, and these folks always show up on time, and always do quality work the first time. I have never had to call them back to re-do any project. I will use them again and HIGHLY recommend them!

They came the same day I called even though the entire region had issues with frozen and broken water lines. They stayed many hours and returned the next day to complete the job. The house is an older home with several different and quot;generationsand quot; of plumbing in and under the house. They found the broken pipes and replaced them. Excellent work guys!!

I would recomWe have called on this company a couple of times since they replaced out HVAC system. Every single time we call we get outstanding customer service and rapid response. When you call Dockery's you get a live and extremely helpful person on the other end of the phone. How refreshing! We secured several quotes in 2010 to replace a 25 year old LP heating system and air conditioner unit. Dockery's quote was mid point. After we firmed up the details this company was on site and had the job finished in a professional, timely manner. No cleanup of any kind was necessary on our part after the job was done. We did not have to ask for any documentation for the tax energy credit; everything was taken care of and sent as required. Since installation we have had a couple of minor problems crop up with the system. Each call was responded to by Dockery's within 24 hours or less. The last event was something that could have likely waited for a few months, but the Dockery's repairman checked to see when our system would go out of warranty and suggested we get it fixed beforehand. We had assumed the unit was already out of warranty, so this was an extra effort put forth by Dockery's on our behalf. I would recommend Dockery's without reservation due to outstanding customer service, quick response, friendly and helpful from the office manager on.

We lost our limping geothermal unit on the hottest day of the year. Dockery's was recommended by reliable neighbors, and came very quickly to the rescue. Options were provided, prices, and a fairly detailed proposal. Once approved, they began work almost immediately, and was completed within two days. The undertaking was not easy for them, as the old HVAC was a badly installed geothermal unit with water pipes everywhere, and connected to the hot water system. Much of the metalwork to install the new system had to me fabricated at their shop -- and everybody worked considerable overtime. The crews were crisply competent and quick about their work, neat, tidy, polite and friendly. they responded happily to every question, and the resultant system is successful. The office manager even registered the unit for us and steered us to the power company for a possible rebate. Overall, we could not have dreamed of contracting with a better company.

Tony and his helper were very thorough showed me photos from under the house , because you see I am Deaf and it very hard to comunicate , anyway they also informed me that they had to spread lime under the house after they were done. they showed me photo's of the completed job. I called a day or two later to ask him to check something from under the house. He came right over and doublechecked and told me that because they put everything back the way it was supposed to go that the Vents on the roof were now where they were supposed to be. I have had other plumbing companies out here, since february of this year and they all told me that everything was alright .Well, from now on in the only company that will be allowed to work on this house will be DOCKERY'S, I just also had them come out and take care of some electical work came out looked at it and no more problem. I think that they take pride in their work and don't take advantage of the customer.
Description of Work: I called Dockery's in the evening before and they got right back with me the next morning. There had been a funny smell like methane gas from under the house, And , since I have an all electric house that is hard to do. They sent out Tony , he went under the house to check out the pipes and all. He came back out and told the good news and the bad.... good news no gas.... Bad news the house had to be replumed, there were pipes falling into each other which was causing major problems with the septic and drainage of comodes ,etc .

They were great. The only problem I had was that I had thought I would be able to charge it (I collect points which I use for travel) and they don't utilize credit cards. That is the ONLY reason I wouldn't use them again. That would have been a lot of points. Their service was very good.

The entire electrical and plumbing job was exceptional! Both Larry and Tony performed quality work and cleaned up all their mess, which I really appreciated. The cost was slightly higher than I expected, but it was worth it and I would definitely use them again. Larry and Tony arrived on different days due to scheduling conflicts, but they both arrived on time and completed their work as agreed. Very professional, excellent work!
Description of Work: I recently purchased a foreclosure in the north Georgia mountains and had a home inspector check it out. He found several electrical and plumbing issues that needed to be addressed. I found Dockery's on Angie's list and asked them to come out and give me an estimate. Larry, the electrician, was very thorough and actually found some additional electrical issued with the breaker box that could potentially cause problems in the future. He fixed all the grounding and wiring issues in the breaker box, installed a new sconce I had purchased, and enclosed loose wiring in the crawl space.Tony, the plumber, installed plumbing for the refrigerator's ice maker, water line for the dishwater, gas line for the stove, and a timer on my water heater, and even took the time to show me the correct way to operate the timer.

They did a good job. They were in line with their pricing, which is good, because where I live at there are a lot of people who take advantage because there aren't a lot of options, and they don't.

Description of Work: we were having problems with our air conditioner and thermastat. the service man looked at the problem and most of it was with the thermastat. we talked out what kind and agreed on one that cost $100.00 and her needed to add freeon to the unit but not very much. we were very pleased with the service and knowledge. we feel like the price was good and they did not try to take us. we even asked about the size of our unit and were told it was fine for our house.
