They seem to specialize in work for warranty companies and therefore do not seem to care about customer service,
Description of Work: I found this company very hard to deal with. The women that answer the phone are very unfriendly. They seem to be very good at giving excuses for why they can not do things. Even making an appointment is a major exercise. Then they fail to live p to their schedule.

This was a warrenty issue with AHS. I called because there was a leak from my kitchen through the wall to outside the adjoining front door. The worker arrived, said it was not from inside, it was from the roof! No Way! he left after he told me he couldn't check kitchen appliances, as he was not an appliance technician? So, I got permission to have a leak specialist come and they did what I had asked the first fellow to do....Pull out the Refrigerator! Of course, there was the leak, molded wall and floor! Simple, yet between AHS and High Priority, I was out $250!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The plumber was contacted through my home warranty program (old republic) and came out to look at a leak in my crawl space. The plumber, Joe, inspected our entire crawl space and found the source of the leak. They worked with our home warranty to get the services covered. The plumber was professional and very thorough. He made sure that the drainage pipe was working prior to leaving the house. I will definitely be contacting them again for services. The cost was only 60 dollars because I just paid a service fee through our home warranty program.

Went well. Eric came out to house in the evening within the specified time frame. I have a fairly old house so the drainage system was difficult to navigate. He spent about two hours trying from differant angles and drains. Finally got it fixed. Price seemed reasonable and everything went well.

I have a 2-10 Home Warranty contract, which is why the cost was only $75.00. When I called 2-10 at first I was assigned A-1Total Plumbing but I had problems with them several years ago so I requested another provider. High Priority was also on the list and they fixed a problem that A-1 had created several years ago so I requested them. As usual HIgh Priority gave superb service, fixing the leak in an efficient manner, testing to make sure it was fixed, then cleaning up after, all in a very pleasant manner.

High Priority Plumbing was the plumber assigned to me by my home warranty company. High Priority came to my house three times because we found water leaking through the basement ceiling. The first and second floor bathrooms are directly over the wet spot in the basement so we quickly narrowed the issue to something in the bathrooms. The first visit was in January. The plumber did not find the source of the leak and suggested that a rat had urinated on the basement ceiling to cause the leak. The second visit was in February. The plumber replaced the wax ring on the second floor toilet. The third time was in March and the plumber finally found the source of the leak in the second floor shower. Between January and March, water was leaking down the inside of the wall from the second floor guest bathroom to the basement. Once the source of leak was finally discovered, we needed a water damage company to dry the walls and the hardword floor. The hardwood floor still have to be refinished. The cost of the repairs resulted in an insurance claim and personal out of pocket costs. When I contacted High Priority to discuss the cost of the damage repair, a supervisor admitted that the plumber had not turned on the water in the guest shower during either of the first two visits. I am absolutely blown away that a plumber would not turn on the water to look for the source of a leak. I feel that their failure to do so resulted in additinal damage to my house and additional costs to me. In my final conversation with High Priority, I asked to speak to one of the owner's about the situation. Instead their attorney called me. I think that speaks for itself

Our kitchen sink, laundry, and bar sink were all backed up due to a main drain line clog in our home. High Priority Plumbing was sent to fix the problem by our Home Warranty company. When the technician, Kris, arrived (1 1/2 hours late), he immediately told us it was a septic problem and that our tank needed to be pumped out. He said it was not covered by our Home Warranty, that he did not do septic work, and that we had to pay him $112 for the service call. I asked him if he could know this without looking at anything, why didn't he just tell us over the phone so we didn't incur a needless service charge? He said he "just knew". We asked him if he could at least TRY to snake the drain line in case there was a blockage, but he refused. After we paid his service fee, we asked him "What happens if the septic company finds that it really was the drain line inside the house?" He said to just call them and he would come out and fix it. When the septic company came out, they said the septic tank did not need to be pumped because there were no solids in it. The problem really was a clogged main drain line that should have been addressed by High Priority Plumbing. Now we had another bill for a septic service company. Our problem could have been immediately resolved the day High Priority Plumbing came out if the technician was willing to at least lift a finger and do some very simple work for his $112. In our opinion, this is a very unprofessional company. We have tried to resolve the issue directly with them, but High Priority Plumbing has refused to call us back. Even when we have asked for the manager to call...no response. The Home Warranty company sent an email to High Priority Plumbing, but they don't bother to respond to them, either. Bottom line in our experience and our opinion: They are very responsive in setting up an appointment, but we are out their service call $$$, didn't get our drainage problem resolved, and got zero customer service or concern from their management. Update: We were contacted by High Priority Plumbing management after our original review was posted. As a result of this interaction, we have adjusted our rating upward. While the description of our initial experience remains correct, it appears that High Priority Plumbing's management didn't respond to our post-service inquiries because they did not receive the messages. They reached out to us last week, agreed that the technician was in error, and worked with us to mitigate the problem.
Description of Work: Was supposed to clear a main drain line clog that was a covered service under our home warranty company contract.

Sent by my home warranty company, the plumber arrived on 12/21, he looked at my leaking sink and said I needed a new faucet, but that he didn't have any on the truck and would have to come back next week. The entire portion of the cabinet under my kitchen sink was wet and continued to leak, so I told him it couldn't last another two days, as my cabinets were already starting to warp. The plumber told me to get a fan (which I did) to dry the area. Not only did the area not dry (it couldn't, because the leak continued), the water continued to drip. On Monday, I called and was told that since it wasn't an emergency, they couldn't come until Thursday. I explained that it was because of the leak, and was told to call the home warranty company to request same day service. I did and we made an appointment for the plumber to come back that afternoon between 12 and 6, I believe. I was told that he would call first to let me know he was on his way (their office was almost an hour away). At 5:10, when I was leaving the office, I called to make sure someone was still coming and was assured that he was. When I arrived home, I was surprised to find a "sorry we missed you" card on the door, stating that he had arrived at 3, and because no one answered the door, left at 3:10. I called the office back immediately and was told that he did indeed call (although I never talked to him), and they could pull the phone records and GPS to prove it. They were more concerned with proving that he had indeed come rather than fixing my sink. I explained that the leaky sink was a priority for me, so of course, I would have been there had he told me he was coming (my office is only 7 miles away). I got into an argument with the customer service rep, and hung up. I had to call another plumber, resulting in another day of additional cabinet damage. Terrible service. I would definitely not recommend!

The plumber quickly identified the cause of our shower drainage problem to be a blockage in the main line between the home and the city's sewer line. He utilized the proper equipment to remove the tree root material causing the blockage. We paid $60 of the total cost per our service protection contract. The plumber was courteous, prompt, professional, and efficient.
Description of Work: Within 45 minutes of our call to our home service protection company (Old Republic), they contacted High Priority Plumbing, who arrived at our home within an hour and cleaned out the blockage between the home's main line and the city's sewer line.

I called on the weekend and they sent someone out on Saturday. He was very curteous and helpful and offered me options and advice. I chose to have the drain pipe replaced rather than jetted or scoured out with acid since the price difference was not great and it would be a more permanent fix. I understood that the serviceman did not have the time or what he needed to fix it that day, and that I would have to get the office to schedule the work. I called them the next day and they told me that they could get to it on Wednesday between 10 and 1. The plumber showed up as scheduled and on time( about 10:30) and was very professional. By 1pm my new drain line was in and working fine.
Description of Work: They by-passed my 50+ year old galvinized sink drain and vent stack, and put in a new drain line with a mini-vent.

It went GREAT! The serviceman came out on "Labor Day" Sept, 2, 2013 and replaced the leaking copper line. The company promised to have someone here between 11:00 am and 2:00 pm. The serviceman was here a little before 11:00 am. What more could you want, and this was on "Labor Day". I was shocked that they would even come out on a Holiday. The serviceman knew what he was doing and had it fixed in a very short period of time. You could not ask for better service! Thank you "HIGH PRIORITY PLUMBING" for a job well done! Great service and great people to do business with.

[member name removed] call was received through warranty company at 9:17 we called to schedule the appointment at 11:30. However, the warranty company would not classify it as an emergency, if upgraded we would of gone to the call sooner- in 24 hours. We would not have been paid more, it is how the warranty company dispatches the calls to us at High Priority Plumbing. I apologize for this, but we try and accommodate all of our clients, but cannot change how a call is dispatched from the warranty company.

I was referred to this provider by my home warranty (Home Warranty of America). I placed the service call Monday evening and they called me Tuesday morning and scheduled a visit for the next day. The appointment was scheduled for the afternoon but the plumber (Lamont Holland) showed up at 9:00 a.m.....not as scheduled but it was actually BETTER so I was quite happy. Lamont was extremely friendly, helpful and professional. He explained everything in layman's terms and showed me the problem (hair clogs) before cleaning it up. He also answered some random questions I had about how to clean the old hardware and drain, re-grouting the shower, and how to change the water pressure without damaging the water heater. Basically, he went over and above what he was expected to do by the terms of my service contract with Home Warranty of America. He even wore shoe protectors so as not to track in any dirt. Even though HWA wouldn't pay to clear an obstruction in the toilet, Lamont explained what the repair would involve and was honest with me about the possibility of the toilet cracking as a result of the repair. We decided not to risk it, since the toilet works (just not well). Overall, I'm very happy with the level of service I received and would definitely recommend this company. I can't comment on their price schedule as I only have to pay a $75 deductible through my home warranty. To me, it was money well spent.

They were the only contractor to answer the phone when our home warranty company performed an emergency callout. Eric arrived a little later than expected, but he did a fantastic job. He also gave us pointers to help us maintain the line and gave us a ballpark estimate for work we knew we eventually need done (new flange, replacement of drain line, leveling of new drain line). I would certainly use Eric again and will request him if we call them.

First of all, our appointment was for 10:00 am. I ran into town for a few minutes, arriving home at 9:45. The plumber had been here already and left a note saying I missed our appointment. I had to reschedule which was a great inconvenience. The next plumber to show up was apologetic, but not very professional. He was messy and left dirty footprints. I think their prices are on the high side, almost to the point of gouging, and I will not use them again.

Very disappointed. The warranty service said they would cover the cost of installation and a new inlet valve but not the the code improvements (TPR valve drain line and expansion tank) or additional gas line. The work took less 1.5 hours and when I priced the parts at a plumbing supply house they were less than $100. I have had quotes for similar work from other Angie's list plumbers to do all the work, (the way I wanted it too) for less than $900 dollars without any warranty. Additionally, I was not happy with the quality of the work. The expansion tank was mounted in a horizontal position when every other one I've seen were vertical. The TPR line was run across the basement floor creating a trip hazard. It was made of plastic material rated at 180 degrees. The installation instruction that came with the water heater stated the TPR line should be rated for greater than 230 degrees. In my opinion, the TPR line should have been routed overhead to the outside and made of copper or other higher temperature material. I brought this to the attention of Cory and he sent the plumber back out. The expansion tank was repositioned but they did not address the TPR line. Additionally, clean-up was not as excpected after the job was not done. A large pile of soot and rust from the gas chimney and other small debrie was left on the floor for me to take care of. Way too much money for the amount and quality of the work!
Description of Work: Installation of new hot water heater under warranty with Old republic Home Warranty./ Installation include new expansion tank to meet current code. New short section of gas line was also needed.

Exceptional, Cory is simply the among the best professional plumbers I've experienced in over 40 years of home ownership. Even though my home on the boundaries of DeKalb and Rockdale Counties is difficult to find, Cory knows how to communicate with the customer. He is exceptional in his customer care skills and equally superb as a plumber.
Description of Work: Cory was the plumber who responded during my emergency call on Sunday 12/11/2011. He was exceptionally helpful in getting the water controlled in my front yard. It seems that the original plumber who ran the water line from my service to my home, during the new construction, used either substandard materials or did poor workmanship. Not only did Cory explain the 10 year warranty on the labor to run a new line to my home, but he made sure to tell me of the discount provided to Angie's List customers. He was prompt in returning on 12/12/2011 after he coordinated with my utility companies to mark the lines and he quickly finished diagnosing the problem, obtained assistance in excavating the area with minimal damage to my bermuda grass lawn, cleaned up the area, and very courteously provided me post-service care. I could not have been more pleased with the promptness, courtesy, and service. I have referred High Priority to all of my neighbors and we will definitely use them again. This is the fourth house I have contracted for building, so I'm experienced with many home builders . . . while I'm disappointed with my builder, I'm very satisfied with the quality of the repair services afforded by High Priority. The best representative of High Priority is Cory . . . this guy should be a master plumber and hopefully can get a bonus.

It was covered under my home warranty, so it only cost me about $500. I like how they call me before they showed up and would give me a roundabout estimate. They would also call to make sure that I was there I trusted them to go to my house and do what I needed them to do because they were always trusted in my house if I wasn’t there.
