Description of Work: This work was executed through my homeowners insurance, so I only have to pay the $75 service charge. The problem ended being the leaking of a valve in the water heater tank. They were called during the weekend but couldn't schedule until Monday at 8am, then I was able to schedule for Tuesday morning. The technician (Gabriel) called 1 hour before arriving and was very thorough and attentive. The problem wa resolved at my satisfaction

Description of Work: Based upon the excellent reviews this company has received on Angie's List, I decided to call them as we are in need of a recommendation on replacing two aged water heaters. Also a bathtub drain has been plugging up intermittently. I spoke with a customer service representative who stated that she would forward my contact information to a senior technician who would call me back. Yes, he did call me back and we had a very good conversation. He told me that he was in the middle of a job and that once he finished, he'd work up a quote for me and email it over. Well, that was three days ago and he has not called nor has he emailed the quote. In addition, his recommendation to combine our two water heaters into one -- in the long run -- was not a sound one. With just one water heater, it would take an inordinately long time for the hot water to reach one side of the house -- and we'd also risk running out of hot water especially if multiple appliances/showers were to be running at once. With the two water heaters, we have never run out of hot water. It's always been sufficient. Only problem is that now, after 19 years, one of the water heaters has begun to lessen in length and intensity the amount of hot water available. So we're going to replace using a different plumber.

Description of Work: This is the company assigned to respond to service request through American Home Shield. It was an emergency request; we had a leak which required us to shut off all water to the house. They had a technician at the hosue within 2 hours of placing the call, and the technician made the repair quickly and neatly. We had a leak under the sink that wasn't affected by turning off the water under the sink. The pipe pretty much disintegrated and had to be replace.

Description of Work: This company was sent to me by my Home Warranty service: American Home Shield. The technician was much later than the "window" during which he was supposed to arrive. There was no call to say that he was going to be late; when I finally called to see if he was still coming, he said he was on his way, but still took quite some time to arrive. He was condescending and rude, at one point stating "I'm too old to be going into crawl spaces!", when he was supposed to be looking for a ground-level drain outlet to fix my stoppage problem. He then said that I would need to pay him $375 (in addition to the $60 service fee) for him to install a drain. It does not appear to me that he ever thoroughly checked the crawl space to see if the drain was there. I ended up calling someone else to fix the drain stoppage (without the $375 fee), and would never ever use or recoomend this company!

Description of Work: Made the garbage disposal function again after it had been blocked up by some olive pits.
