 + -1 moreAfter paying for an Amazon Local deal I was sent to a webpage and asked to choose three convenient service days. None were October 6 but on that day I received a call saying the cleaners were on their way. I said OK, but after 1pm. That upset the person on the phone, who said I had been sent an email confirmation of date and time. I did not see it, I said, and had not confirmed the appointment. I had never spoken to anyone at his company. His response: it's really not the company's fault if I do not check my email and it would be $35 to reschedule. As you'd guess, I said that was ridiculous, I had no idea they were coming. He could only repeat that that he could not be held responsible for me not checking my email. I hung up and got my money back from Amazon Local. Still can't believe they would throw away my business so unprofessionally. I'd have happily rescheduled to another time.
