Initial response was within 8 hours of my notification period to the Home Warranty Company. Scheduler contacted me and set up a appointment. Went downhill from there. Service team called me 8 hours ahead of when he was scheduled to be there, was rude, and told me I had to come right now. I immediately called the scheduler back, and her response was that she expected me to "work it out with the service team." She was informed that was unacceptable, and that she needed to correct HER scheduling problem. After two more calls, the original time was agreed upon. The repair man showed up, and seemed to understand the problem (dishwasher was not filling with water). He said that he would have to replace the supply line hose, and that it would take 7-10 days for it to come in. I still of course had to pay the $75 service fee. 15 Days later, no call, I then contact the Jiffy Services Customer number, and have to leave a message. You ALWAYS have to leave a message with Jiffy Service's. They did call back in about 5 minutes, to tell me that the part (a common feed hose) was on backorder, but she wanted to schedule me for a service call at the earliest time which was next week. When I asked her when she had placed the order, she became very snippy and said that had nothing to do with the part being backordered. Bottom Line: 21 days to replace a $4.00 feed hose in the ATLANTA area is unacceptable: Do not use this service, and DON'T let your Home Warranty Company send these losers to your home.
Description of Work: Jiffy Services responded to a service call on my dishwasher. They were assigned by my Home Warranty Company

The older service man immediately said the machine pump needs to be replaced. As to why, his response "I've been doing this for years, it's always the pump." He then had the younger man replace the pump. That evening, we still had water under the machine. I called Jiffy back, they said they could not return until Thursday, that they would not expedite the return, from a scheduling standpoint it would be treated like a new call (???) Appointment was scheduled for 8 to 11 that day, I made it clear that I had a meeting and needed to leave no later than 11:30 that day. IOn Thursday 6/6 at 11am still no sign of Jiffy. I called, ten minutes later I got a call back, they were late because of "traffic." Why they didn't have the courtesy to at least call is beyond me. Regardless, I cancelled my meeting. At 11:35 they arrived, opened up the washer, said "there is no leak here," and then said that it could be the "sump pump" in a cabinet right next to the washing machine. Bottom line: -they never made any effort to diagnose the problem. -they replaced a part that for all I know was working perfectly fine. -their responsiveness is lacking -if they are running late - it happens - they need to have the courtesy to advise their clients.
Description of Work: Our washing machine appeared to be leaking. We still had a homeowner's warranty, and Jiffy was assigned to us by them. We called on Wednesday May 22; the next morning Jiffy said that the would be unable to come that week. As we were away the following week, we scheduled their visit for Monday June 3rd. On Monday 2 men from Jiffy arrived. I explained the situation, that we often - but not always - had water under the washer after use.

It has been a long time since possibly the worst company I have ever come into contact with has been here, so I might not remember it all. From the first call to them from AHS, it ended up being weeks and weeks before they returned with a part they thought they needed. About three visits with the wrong part. The final visit was also the wrong part. They were slow to answer/come citing it was the "holidays". When they came, the guy was reading the instructions to try and install it. I don't think he had ever worked on an appliance. Like I said, it has been a long time, but the service was very, very bad. Lazy, lazy, lazy. Over the top incompetent... Ended up just trashing it and got a new microwave. AHS gets the bottom of the barrel scum to use as their providers. We dropped them, too. I'd rather pay FULL price for a repair than to be subject to them either.
Description of Work: The attempted to fix a built in microwave...

My home warranty company uses Jiffy Service to fulfill their home warranty needs. My Bosch dishwasher was not draining and it would refill with water after the cycle was completed. Jiffy Service was engaged by my home warranty company and they were supposed to repair this issue, they came out inspected the unit and claimed what was occurring was due to a bad water valve. The tech left with no reference as to how long it would take to receive the part and when they would return to install it. After a couple weeks went by and multiple calls - the part came in and was installed. The technician claimed the dishwasher was repaired, but he never turned on the dishwasher to verify that it worked correctly. We were running the dishwasher when the tech called to see if he could come back and run the dishwasher to verify the problem was fixed. He came back, said everything worked fine and then left. We didn't detect any water in the unit after it was run. After he left, we left for a weekend trip and didn't run our dishwasher. Upon returning from our trip we discovered water all over our Kitchen floor and a dishwasher full of water again. Obviously the issue was not resolved from their repair. Since we were out of town - it is unknown how long the water had been leaking from our dishwasher - but what is known is our hardwood floors are now warped and the shoe molding on our cabinets is ruined. I turned off the water valve to the dishwasher, bailed out the bottom of the machine and cleaned up all the water on my kitchen floor. Water continued to seep out of the insulation in the front of my dishwasher door for 3 or so hours. When Jiffy Service sent another tech out, it appeared some sort of part was omitted from the valve repair. The worked on the machine for a while, said it was working and were prepared to leave - AGAIN WITH OUT TURNING THE DISHWASHER ON. I insisted they run the machine through a full cycle - where the dishwasher started making a banging noise it had not made before. They said the noise was normal. I can tell you from owning a Bosch dishwasher - they don't make that noise, that's why you pay over $1k for the dishwasher. I was then also informed that it wouldn't drain correctly until the bottom had dried out - what ever that means. I also asked if they were going to replace the insulation in the door as it was soaking wet. The tech told me that was not possible for it to be wet - remember I had already had water draining out of the door for 3 hours. He told me it was normal for the insulation to get wet/moist when the Dishwasher was run due to the heat. I insisted that he remove the door to inspect the insulation. Low and behold it was still wet and they had to use a shop vacuum to remove the excess water from the insulation. Then they also ran the vacuum under the dishwasher to dry it out - not sure why they didn't do that to start with. Then they discovered a new leak under the dishwasher - when it was run - SHOCKER - running the dishwasher revealed another issue or that they had not correctly repaired the dishwasher from the start. A small pin hole leak had supposedly developed in a valve under the dishwasher. Something we had never had an issue with before. So now they have not repaired my Dishwasher and NOW they have ruined my hardwood floors in my Kitchen from a faulty repair. My warranty company told me that the repair service is insured/licensed/bonded etc. and to file a claim with Jiffy Services Insurance company. So I called Jiffy Service to obtain this information - to have the following happen: 1. Ignored when asked for the information - first 2 calls. 2. Yevette - I guess she is the manager, since she never provided any information about herself - became belligerent on the phone when I asked for the Insurance Company's information. Stating they wouldn't pay my claim, the floors were already warped and I had told her technician we had a leak before the ruined out floors. Then she used profanity with me on the phone and a screaming match ensued. I HAVE NEVER IN MY LIFE EXPERIENCED SOMETHING SO HORRIFIC WITH A SERVICE PROVIDER. What Yevette is not aware of, is I document every service call - with a journal. When people come out to the home, calls made, repair work performed etc. I also have documentation that my floors were not damaged prior to their "repair". I WOULD NEVER EVER RECOMMEND JIFFY SERVICE. WHAT A HORRIFIC EXPERIENCE.

My dishwasher is under warranty and I was referred to these people by Frigidaire. My appointment was from 10am-2pm. The repairman called at 1:30 and said he'd be here in 45 minutes - he showed up almost 2 hours later. He was very nice and friendly and said that I needed a new control panel and they had to order it and someone from the office would call me to schedule the installation. I never got a phone call so I attempted to call them a week later and left several messages with no return call. I finally got someone to answer the phone (this is now 2 weeks later) and she tells me that they can't find the part for my model number so I needed to call Frigidaire directly and get the part myself. I reluctantly did it and Frigidaire said they have the part in stock and they didn't know why Jiffy couldn't get it. I called Jiffy when it arrived to schedule installation. This was 2 days before Thanksgiving and I had 8 people coming over to my house for dinner. When I called she basically said too bad we can't make it until Monday. I explained to her that I had been waiting on them for 2 weeks to fix my dishwasher and had company coming in 2 days for Thanksgiving and if they can't come fix it I would have to call someone else. That did not matter to her and she told me to go ahead and do that so I did. Where I come from, if you make someone wait for 2 weeks, then have them do your legwork and get the part themselves becuase you're not competent enough to get it yourself - you go out of your way to make it right and fix it however you possibly can. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE company.
Description of Work: Initial warranty repair on Frigidaire dishwasher. Came to my house and checked my dishwasher and diagnosed the problem as a broken control panel.

I was having a problem with my washing machine, which is on an extended warranty. I called my warranty provider, who in turn called Jiffy. Jiffy called me to set up the appointment for between 9 AM and 12 PM on Thursday, 7/2. The service technician never showed up. At 8 PM (8 hours after the stated time window!) he called and said that he wasn't going to be able to make it. A couple of days later, Jiffy called me to reschedule and got my answering machine. For the next two days I tried repeatedly to call Jiffy, but no one answered the phone. Finally I called my warranty provider. They tried to get in touch with Jiffy - again, no one home. After that, the warranty company agreed to assign my repair to a more responsive and competent company.
Description of Work: None; technician never showed up.
