Description of Work: The company they sent out did a very good job, even the company owner was on job site most of the day. It was just the whole paperwork thing that was a headache and hassle...on top of it my sales rep had quit, which I found out on my own, and my down payment check was kinda of hanging in limbo somewhere for awhile. It took about 2 months or better to straighten out.

The start of the delivery was chaotic. The delivery personnel were unprepared and not even familiar with our account. They complained immediately about what they were not going to do. Supposedly one of the personnel were new. They took no precautions at protecting our property. They dragged the appliances all over my floor. The damage was severe. They had no professionalism. Ultimately, I would never consider this company for any delivery.

The purchasing process in-store was relatively expedient. The sales agent provided just adequate service. The sales person did not provide adequate explanation of the step-by-step purchase in its entirety. The sales person did reduce the tag price some. The sales person did not explain the charges on a breakdown scale. The sales person did not explain the set-up and installation, which we were paying for. Also, the sales person did not speak clearly enough for someone who is hard-of-hearing such as myself. The set-up and installation FAILED on all measures. The installers were 2 HOURS LATE. They were not polite and they did not speak clearly to explain exactly what is was they were doing or how they were going about completing the tasks. This turned out to be the least negative impression. First, when they unloaded the dishwasher, they dragged it in its box across our wood floor. They did not attempt to place it in a inconspicuous location so as to NOT be in the way. The refrigerator installation was DEPLORABLE!!!!! They immediately set to dragging the old refrigerator from its location, again across wood floors, which caused HUGE GASHES in the floor.. Then they expected myself, an elderly woman, to provide them with tools to unhook the ice make line from the old refrigerator. Then they asserted that it was up to us to have it installed, WHICH IS WHAT WE PAID SEARS to do. We had bought the ice maker line from Sears and were charged in full for set-up and installation as indicated on the receipt. So when they disconnected the old ice maker line, they said that they would not install the new one we had paid for them to install. After that they dragged the old refrigerator out of place JUST ENOUGH to place the new one in place. When it came to the new refrigerator, they used moving straps, and were somewhat capable of not scratching the floor. They did NOT USE the moving straps on the old refrigerator and proceeded to DRAG IT ACROSS OUR ENTIRE KITCHEN FLOOR. THEN THEY MAN-HANDLED IT THROUGH THE DOOR AND WERE SO CARELESS WITH IT THEY ALMOST RIPPED THE THRESHOLD FROM THE DOOR. THE EXTREME DAMAGE THEY CAUSED TO MY 2 YEAR OLD WOOD FLOORS IS A SERIOUS DOUBLE LINE PATH OF DEEP SCRATCHES FROM THE KITCHEN TO THE FRONT DOOR. ANYONE WITH WOOD FLOORS COULD APPRECIATE THE MANNER AT WHICH HEAVY ITEMS SHOULD BE MOVED ACROSS THEM. THE DAMAGE IS APPAULING. WE IMMEDIATELY CALLED SEARS CUSTOMER SERVICE 1-800 NUMBER TO REPORT THE INCIDENT. THIS WAS THREE (3) WEEKS AGO!!!!!! WE WERE GIVEN A CLAIM NUMBER AND THAT WAS IT!!!!!!!!!! WE HAVE CALLED ALMOST A DOZEN TIMES SINCE THEN, AND NO ONE HAS SHOWN UP TO INVESTIGATE THE MATTER, NO ONE HAS OFFERED ANY COMPENSATION. WE HAVE TRIED TO CALL AND CALL AGAIN, WE CALLED THE LOCAL STORE AND THEY DID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING SO FAR. AT THIS POINT, WE ARE CONSIDERING FURTHERING OUR COMPLAINT TO THE BETTER BUSINESS BEURA. WE HAD TO HIRE A PLUMBER TO INSTALL THE ICE MAKER LINE, WHICH WE THEN HAD TO TAKE THE RECEIPT IN-STORE TO RECEIVE COMPENSATION. SEARS INSTALLATION SERVICES ARE AS AWFUL AS THIS SUMMARY INDICATES. AND WHILE THERE MAY BE CUSTOMER WHO ARE RUDE TO SERVICE PROFESSIONALS, WE WERE IN NO WAY RUDE AND PROVIDED ADEQUATE SPACE FOR THEM TO WORK, BY MOVING FURNTURE AWAY FROM THE INSTALL LOCATION. WE EVEN PROVIDED THEM WITH OUR OWN TOOLS, WHICH THEY DID NOT EVEN USE. OVERALL, FOR A COMPANY WITH A LONG HISTORY OF WHAT USED TO BE EXCELLENT SERVICE AND PRODUCTS, THEY FAILED IMMENSELY ON OUR INSTALLATION. CUSTOMER BEWARE AND BE PREPARED TO PAY THIRD PARTY OR INSTALL YOURSELF.

I would give them high ratings because they worked in the time frame that I needed and I had no problems. I purchased the stove and refrigerator together, and then the water heater later. Prices were a bit high, however.

They did a good job on the repairs. I would rate them high across the board and I would use them again in the future.
