This spring we started having a really bad problem with cockroaches. On numerous occasions I spoke with James, the tech who sprayed our house, about how much worse they had become. On any given night, I would kill 3 or 4. Most often, I would find them crawling on my kitchen counters and around my dishwasher. Each time I would raise my concerns, James' instant reply was "they are just bad this time of year." The final straw came when my husband and I were watching TV one evening and a cockroach flew across the living room and landed by the TV. Not only were they all over my kitchen, but they were now flying around my house! All while having my house sprayed monthly by Pesty Johns. I contacted the company and told them my concerns. They arranged to have James come out and respray. James called and was difficult to schedule with...we finally agreed on an 1-2 hour long window where he would try and show up. I arrived home within that time span, and I saw him leaving my neighborhood. I called him on his cell and he said that he had to attend an important meeting and could not come back and spray. He sprayed the exterior of the house and told me that should help. (of course, it did not help at all!) When I asked him when he could come spray the interior, he proceeded to tell me how busy he was over the next week and that it would be difficult to fit me in. The next day I called the company and complained and they apologized and said they would arrange for him to come out immediately. Since I was frustrated with James, I requested another tech but they stated that he was the "best we have." James came back the following day and did little to hide his irritation. Upon arriving, he promptly told me that I should call his cell phone and speak to him directly instead of calling the company office. I made it clear that I was just tired of having cockroaches crawl all over the house. After James sprayed, the problem remained and grew increasingly worse. I found cockroaches crawling in my fruit bowl and on my counters around my baby's drying bottles. Eventually, I was so fed up and concerned for my baby's health, I decided to use another company. I always try and use a local company first, but after my frustrating experience with Pesty Johns, I went with Orkin. Unlike Pesty Johns, Orkin came out when promised and did an assessment on the house. They then did the most thorough pest treatment I have ever seen. When I articulated my concerns, they immediately told me all the different steps they were going to take to address them. They dusted in the crevices in the kitchen with an aerosol product. They treated my attic AND my crawlspace. They put down paper traps near the high traffic areas. Afterwards, the tech gave me his number and told me to call him the instant I have any concerns. Of course, after that thorough treatment, I didn't see a single live cockroach for over a month. My only regret is that I didn't use Orkin sooner! Oh and a month later when I did finally see a couple cockroaches and wanted Orkin to respray, the tech never made excuses and said "they are just bad this time of year." Instead he asked how he could accommodate my work schedule and if he could go under the house and retreat my crawlspace. I'm pretty sure I made the right choice! I only regret not canceling my service with Pesty Johns sooner.

His father was in this business for such a long time and I have used them for that long time.

Pesty John's Pest Control comes when they say they're going to come. Their customer service is always fine and they are always responsive. I haven't had any termite issues.

They do a pretty good job. We don't have any problems with ants and roaches anymore. They seem to know what they're doing. The gentleman was friendly, and was in and out pretty quick.

We definitely like them and have used them for about 3 years. They are very professional and wear booties over their shoes when they come inside of the house. If we are not here when they come then they will do the outside and call us to come back out and do the inside when we are available. They are very flexible and also have very reasonable prices.

I would not recommend them to anyone. They guy who came to spray was wonderful. They just had to come in the first week of the month but they wouldn't tell when they were going to show up or wouldn't inform the date. I didn't know when they would come in. I had to wait for the entire month for them. One month they skipped and when I asked them once they came the next month, they said that they would spray inside and outside. Then they said that they would come back to spray inside again and I said not to do that. I wasn't impressed with them at all. I called back John Miller who is the owner to tell that I don't want them to come back again.

I had accidentally stepped on a fire ant hill and quickly found out why they are called fire ants. I called Pesty John's and 15 minutes later an exterminator was at my house spraying to get rid of them. The initial service was about 90 dollars in which they sprayed my entire backyard and front yard to get rid of the ants and I have a huge backyard. I now have a monthly service which is about 30/month. They are always on time and I rarely see any of those nasty bugs. Outstanding service at a great price.

I have been using their services for a long time now. The guy who comes out has got everything but the key to the house. I do it yearly and it costs me $27 a month. He is a really nice man. He knows me and my family. He knows everybody’s name. He is really cordial, sweet and accommodating. I called him in the last week to inform him that there were ants. He then told me that he would come out in the afternoon. He knew that I had to pick up my child. He is wonderful. There is a lady in his office as well.
