It was the worst. He replaced the shower with new shower pin and within 2 years, it was leaking and he wouldn't respond to it.
Description of Work: Medlock Flooring removed our shower with installation of new shower pin and tile.

Terrible experience start to finish and after completion
Description of Work: We have a tiled shower and the shower pan leaked. We were referred to Clay Medlock and he evaluated our shower. He seemed knowledgable about the repair and was very confident. He insisted the entire shower be removed because he thought the shower was inferior to his quality. The tear out was messy as expected. There were cigarette butts all over my yard but this seemed to be a minor inconvenience since we were so excited to have a fully functional shower. He stated daily that he had never had a shower leak. At completion we were so glad to have him out of our house. The continued bragging about how great he was and how much money he made doing tile was exhausting. The shower was functional until almost 2.5 yrs later when the shower was leaking causing damage to the adjacent base board and mold to closet tact strip under carpets. I contacted Clay Medlock numerous times and no response. I finally went to Seller'sTile where I had purchased the tile and was referred to Medlock. The manager was both disappointed and genuinely interested in helping me resolve the issue. He contacted Medlock and urged him to contact me. Medlock called to inform me that my shower was under a "2 year warranty" and any issues would require further payment. He also stated that since I was not in the tile business I could not make the assumption that the shower was leaking. He stated he would have to make the determination even though it was outside of warranty and had no intentions to repair it. I noted that 3 tile repairmen had come to investigate and all recommended tear-out due to defective or improperly installed shower pan. Needless to stay we do not have a functional shower. We had to contact Muscogee glass to remove the glass enclosure and are currently getting bids to redo the shower and this is estimated to be around 5K. I also want to note that Clay Medlock also claims he is a floor specialist and performs concrete stamping. Sadly, I hired him to stamp my drive way with his cousin Joshua Hicks that is a "concrete specialist". The drive way cracked in several places before it dried, the stamp is horrible with foot prints and water spray marks. I spent a total of $18,000 for the drive and shower and am so disappointed! I hope no one else makes the same mistake by hiring Medlock or Joshua Hicks for their home repair needs.

During the course of the project Clay became a friend to us. The ceramic tile he installed was a reasonable price and extended from our kitchen to the laundry room, and he even did a coordinating backsplash. If we ever need flooring again anywhere in the house he will be our first call.
Description of Work: We hired them to install floors as part of kitchen remodel.
