Description of Work: My husband and I went to HH Gregg to purchase a new 42 inch LG flat panel LCD TV for our media room. The model number that we paid for was a LG 42LH40. We were pleased on the price quote that we got which was $858.00 and after careful consideration decided to apply for their 24 months interest free credit and make payments for a couple of months. We got approved and waited for our TV to be brought out. My husband had asked if I could wrap up the minor details of out purchase, while he put our six month old in our truck and pull it around the front. Needless to say the manager and sales person of this company informed me that while my husband and I were discussing whether or not to buy this TV that the last one was sold that was in stock. But needless to say they had upgraded our TV for the same exact price. Which was a 42LG70. I assumed that it was a great deal. Well not so much because when my husband noticed the model number he saw that the TV that was a so called upgrade was last years inventory and not this years. Not to mention they in no way had a display for that model so we could compare the difference. If it weren't for my husbands research we would have walked away with an over priced TV. My husband confronted the manager and his excuse was that it was the same thing. But everyone knows that with new technology everything about it is different especially the weight and pixels and he wanted to discount only $60 for deception. I called the corporate office to report this location for violation of consumer and business practices but even though they were nice they still wanted to sell us the same TV for $150 cheaper. Funny thing is that we found the 42LH55 est. $1,800 TV for half the price online. I do not recommend this company to anyone. The managers and staff are very deceitful. Will do anything for a commission and to get rid of last years inventory.
