Geek Squad - Best Buy

If you buy a TV from Best Buy and something goes wrong with it, you'd better hope that something went wrong within the first 15 days of your purchase. During that 15 days you can bring the TV back and exchange it for something else. In my case, I bought a 50 inch Sharp Aquos TV and it kept turning off on me almost every 20 minutes. Luckily for me, I got it back there on the 15th day and was able to pick out another TV. When I called the store I was told that if I was trying to price match, I couldn't do that. I told him, I didn't care about price matching, I just wanted a TV that worked!! After that initial 15 days, you cannot bring the TV back to Best Buy. You usually have a one year warrenty with them on most of their TV's and during that warrenty year, you have to make appointments with the Geek Squad and they come out to your house to fix the TV. And God help you if you are out of the warrenty period. Here in Columbus GA, once the warrenty is up, they send you to Stone Electronics in Phenix City. If they send you there, then you may as well just buy another TV. Stone wants $100.00 dollars up front and when you get your TV back is anyone's quess. Best Buy has lost a customer with me. I simply cannot go through all the run around they put you through to be a customer of theirs. You'd think they would treat you better than this but they don't. And I do not have to pay for bad customer service and will be taking my business elsewhere.
