I cannot totally fault Albright's for this, but I want them to know that when they contract with a crappy company like 1-800-Flowers and then provide an inferior product because they are underpaid by 1-800-Flowers that it ultimately reflects badly on them and their business. Maybe they should rethink their association with this shady middleman (1-800-Flowers.) My husband had never had flowers delivered to me before, so it was a pretty big deal. He was out of town visiting his family and wanted to say he missed me. Unfortunately, he didn't know that it's a ripoff to go through a "company" like 1-800-Flowers, which just marks up flower arrangements $20 more than a local florist would plus charges an $12 or $15 "handling fee", takes orders and forwards them to a local florist. The "company" also gouges local florists, so they don't get enough money to create an quality arrangement on par with what the customer paid. In our case, my husband paid $100. What I got was an arrangement that looked like it wasn't even worth $35. The pink roses were old and dried out around the edges and the white lilies were actually starting to turn brown and one of them was wilted. (My husband chose the arrangement because he knows I love lilies.) I understand that 1-800-Flowers treats local florists badly and underpays them and that 1-800-Flowers orders are at the absolute bottom of the barrel as far as priority for the local florists. But you know what? If they don't pay you enough to make a fresh, quality arrangement that is actually worth what the customer paid then it would probably be better for your business not to associate with this outfit.
Description of Work: Took an order through 1-800-Flowers and arranged and delivered flowers my husband had ordered through 1-800-Flowers.
