I was pleased with the promptness of response and the quality of the work. Having no idea of what plumbers in this area typically charge, I have not commented on the price.
Description of Work: The pressure relief valve on our water heater was stuck open. Replacing the valve did not solve the problem. Pressure measurement at the front outside faucet showed a very high reading. At this point called Chris who came later that same day with a helper. They found that the galvanized pressure reduction valve at the water line entry to the house was corroded and show it to me. The replaced the PRV with a brass unit.

We have a house built in 1977. The previous owners did some updating but most of it was very basic. We had been renting the house and started to have some pressure issues but we were on a well. Our well went dry during the drought a couple years ago so we had water lines installed for citty water (another plumber). We still had pressure problems so we has new lines to the toilet due to messy old PVC pipe instalation (same plumber as ater lines). Still not good pressure. We had the other plumber come out a third time and put in a new toilet and all new Pex lines in the entire house. This did not improve anything and we were very disappointed with the work. So we decided to try someone else. I found Chris on Angie's List and he lived very close to me so I thought, why not try. I called about 12:30 pm and left a message with a very pleasant lady. She said she'd have Chris call me. I don't get home until 5:30 - 6 pm but Chris called me about 6:15pm and since I lived close he wanted to come see the problem. He got directions and was there in 10 minutes. I explained the issue and showed hime the water pressue in the kitchen faucet. He asked a couple of questions and already had an idea of the cause of the problem. Repairmen tend to not be as forthcoming with information when they talk with a woman. Chris was very good and explained everything that he thought was going on and even allowed me to vent about the previous plumber's work. Even once my husband got home, Chris caught him up on what had been discussed so far. All I can say is WOW!!! We have pressure. We can actually use the shower! It doesn't take 5 minutes for the toilet tank to refil after a flush! (Sometimes it's the simply pleasure that really make your day.) Not to mention that Chris didn't charge me anything because he said there really wasn't anything that he did. "He was there 20-30 minutes and just adjusted a screw and cleaned a screan in the faucet. Just give him a call next time we needed a plumber!" He even made suggestions of things to do for the next couple of days to make sure we don't have anymore problems. He also told my husband how to fix the water line to the outside faucet that the last plumber didn't do correctly! He was extremely professional and courteous. I have plans for more removations and will definitely use him again. I would recommend him to anyone. With the water pressue issues, this house was not useable. Thanks to Chris we can finish our renovations and actually have someone live here. Chris went the extra mile and did it with a smile and a handshake. If you need a plumber, call Chris - you won't be disappointed!
Description of Work: We had low water pressure in our house. Chris came out the same day that I called to "take a look at it". He called ahead and arrived within about 10 mintues of his call. He immediately had an idea what the problem was. Went to the different faucets to verify he was on the right path and got to work. He adjusted the pressure at the PRV valve at the meter. He then checked all the faucets again to make sure each of them had the proper amount of pressure. A faucet and the showerhead were clogged with deposits that may have been rust or something that broke off with the increase in pressure. He fixed those issues.

Had no water pressure. He came and checked a few things and realized I had a bad PVR valve (pressure). So he replaced it and recommended I have an emergency cut off valve close to my house so that I could cut off the water in case of a water emergency.
Description of Work: Replaced pressure valve and added and emergency cut off.
