Description of Work: We've used them several times. The last time they were out they installed two new HVAC systems, one upstairs and the other downstairs. They also did some repairs on our old A/C system before we replaced it.

Description of Work: Gave estimate of replacing ducting under the house after several months of calls. They said they could do the work in 10 to 12 days, that's what they kept saying about the estimate, but never showed up. The guy on the phone said the estimate was high because of the difficulty of the job. As long as your repair is easy, they might be ok.

Description of Work: Reworked part of the duct system in the attic. Removed some duct board trunk line,added 25 feet of metal trunk line and a second return air trunk line. Two young men worked very hard for two days doing the work.They admitted they had no experience in rehab work, only in new construction duct work. The company did exactly what the quote listed as far as materials went. The net results did not change much in comfort. We get a blast of hot air from registers every time the AC system starts up. Existing flex duct lines were not straightened, just left in the same place as before. Flex duct was trapped (only had about a 3" space)between a joist and the new return box and other problems with the flex duct lines. Bends and kinks in the existing flex could have been straightened out but were not. Return flex duct was ran over existing flex supply lines reducing air flow. |The whole purpose of the work was to improve the duct system at a lower cost by using existing flex supply ducts in lieu of replacing the entire system. I gave the company drawings of the existing flex duct system and house plans with room sizes, cubic foot and cubic volumes of each room. The price quote given listed what they proposed to do in a general manner, such as resizing the existing supply line, reconnecting existing flex duct lines and adding a new return air flex duct line. How the actual work was performed was not detailed out, nor did I expect it to do so. I did expect the work to improve my system which would involve shortening supply runs by moving the flex to a better location on the trunk line, moving the line to eliminate bends and kinks where possible, etc. This was not done. Matt came back and reworked a couple of items, resealed a leaking place. I have spent hours researching HVAC systems and problems in flex duct lines. I called their office and informed the operator I was upset with the outcome of their work. She set up an appointment for the following Tuesday. No show. Called back and was told the service man was busy and would be out later. Called back and asked to speak to Matt (owner) she said he would call me, He finally called and he said they had done what they quoted and could not do anything else, no reason to come back to my house. |I sent them a E-Mail letter yesterday and have not had any reply from them. |I had two HVAC contractors submit quotes for this work. Matt said he low balled the work as he wanted to do the work to keep his crews busy. I gave both company's the same information and informed them results we were trying to obtain by having a rework in lieu of a new system installation.I expected both of them to use their experience in HVAC installation and design to rework what was there, removing and adding duct lines to improve cooling through out the home. The other contractor was quite a bit higher and when Matt told me he low balled the work to keep his crews busy, I thought we were getting a good deal due to that statement. I guess not!!!

Description of Work: Ogeechee Heating & Air came out and quoted a price for a new unit. Then, once my wife and I decided to use them for the job, they installed a new system/unit. Everything went great!

Description of Work: We had a new central heating and a/c unit installed as well as the vent lines reworked.

Description of Work: Replaced Air Handler with New Air Handler/Coils on 4/11/11. Then in July our outside AC Unit's compressor went out. We decided to go with a New Condensing Unit (7/14/11) verses the cost of replacing the compressor. With this decision, we have a 5 yr warranty on both Air Handler and Condensing Unit for about the same time period. These folks came out to home on many occasions when we were first having problems. Even as busy as the summer time is, they always fit me in even if it was 7:30 pm. I refer them highly, they were kind, professional and just overall good down to earth good people.

Description of Work: Home air conditioning problems. Have used them in the past to include remove/reinstall new fan motor. Outstanding service and this time they found nothing wrong and charged me nothing for coming out to check the system!
