Description of Work: There were no services performed. This is the 2nd time we try to use her because a neighbor used her and was satisfied, She came to our house, reviewed the job and never called back, never gave us a quote, We tried again for a new project and she was on Angie's list this time and she never even responded to the email. That does not sit well with me. Can't trust anyone like that.

Response from A Girl and Her Tractor
Member contacted me 3 times in the span of 4 years about the same job. A job I initially politely declined in March 2009. I regret this person has taken my declining the job personally. What baffles me is why she continued calling me to do work if she claims she cannot trust me. No work was done, and I did an on-site evaluation before declining the work.
Description of Work: We needed the driveway to be re-graveled after we had new water and sewer lines put in. She did great! She did what she said she would do and on time. We would definitely use her again.

I saw the review for this company and decided to use them, it was the worst decision Ive made in a while I called Adria 3 times and spoke to her about doing some work for the county. if she didnt want to assist me she should have said so but instead told me she would call me back several times but did not. I wasted several days waiting on her to call back thinking that the reviews on her company could not have been wrong, but it was. She could have had the courtesy to give me any excuse and let me move on. Thanks for NOTHING! I dont like giving negative reviews but she treated me like she didnt need anymore business, but didnt say so. Must be nice in this economy to just ignore clients.

It went very well. Adrya was responsive, worked with us to stay in the range we wanted to spend and did a good job.

I was very happy with her work, her professionalism, and her timeliness. I've even recommended her to my mom. Thanks Adria for an awesome job! We may have to call you back to stone that retaining wall :)
Description of Work: Adria filled in a sinkhole in my back yard and leveled a small hill. Several months later I noticed a drainage problem that was causing an issue further down in the yard, so I called her back. She was very responsive, came back out and took a look at the new problem and gave me an estimate. She started and finished the work I paid her to do and she gave us an added bonus of carving out a retaining wall from a bothersome hill. She also laid down grass seeds. After the service, I noticed the yard had a few more rocks than I'd like after she leveled the second time (I live at the base of Stone Mountain). I called her back and she was happy to come back out at no charge and get it to a level of satisfaction that I could be happy with.

I called Adrya and described the project. She came out, took a look, and gave me a quote. I agreed to the price, and she came out on Saturday morning to do the work. She excavated the area to make room for the wall, and she smoothed out another part of my lot where I want to put down paving stones. Everything went very smoothly.

I've used them before. She did a pretty good job and handled getting all the extra gravel that was needed and laying it down.

Had an overgrown right of way. It was horrible. Contacted AGAHT and Adria was prompt, communicative, hard working and honest. The brush was removed, the ground tilled and prepped perfectly. Prce was very fair. I would hire her again in a heartbeat if I had any additional work.

Adria was extremely professional, great to work with, and did an incredible job. My husband hates hiring people to do work around the house, because few times will they do things as good or better than he would have done himself. She is certainly the exception.
Description of Work: We approached Adria with concerns about our back yard. We had a concrete slab removed and it was highly uneven and created sigificant water drainage issues. The task was to remove approximately 40 cubic yards of earth from the high side, and grade the yard so that water drains away from the foundation. To begin, several inches of rich top soil on the low side of the yard was scraped and stockpiled out of the way. Then, the excavated dirt was dozed to the low side of the yard and graded to match existing topography. The stockpiled topsoil was spread over the entire backyard to provide grass with needed nutrients. She finished by smoothing, lightly compacting, and removing medium & large rocks and other debris. Winter rye was planted and covered with a layer of wheat straw.

The recent severe rainstorms left ruts about a foot wide and 2 feet deep down our gravel driveway, plus dumped a large part of the gravel in a large pile at the bottom of the hill. A girl and her tractor gave us good advice about a better type of stone to use, made arrangements to have it delivered by another vendor, negotiated the price for the stone downward with that vendor, spread the stone evenly, and left us with a beautiful gravel driveway. She also mowed large areas along each side of the driveway with her bushhog. We were very pleased with her work and look forward to using her for other projects in the future. We have previously had similar work done. The project this time was bigger (due to the storm damage) and she provided more extensive services than other service providers have provided for the same fee.
Description of Work: Two truckloads of stone spread over driveway that is about 100 yards long; driveway extensively re-graded. Strip of land about 10 yards wide on each side of driveway bush-hogged.

Awesome job overall, and when I complete my additional retaining walls in the near future I will have her come back and do more work for me. I have recommended her to several friends and neighbors who also need grading work.
Description of Work: We had a backyard that was a disaster with heavy erosion in a steep hillside area that sloped to a creek area. I built a retaining wall and called a girl and her tractor to backfill the retaining wall and do terracing of the hillside to enable me to have several flat areas to garden/plant and avoid further erosion. She did great work, was honest and hardworking, and went way beyond what I expected in completing the job.

Everything went great. I called up, and Adria came out that afternoon to give me an estimate. Her initial estimate was more than I could afford, so we agreed to cut out some of the work to bring the project within my budget. We had a little bit of trouble finding a dumpster contractor that would allow us to load concrete into a 10-yard dumpster (a larger one wouldn't fit on my street), but once we identified a contractor Adria had the job scheduled within a few days. She came out, worked quickly, and allowed me to help out where I could in order to make the job go faster. It's important to note that I must have talked to 10 different contractors, and Adria was the only one willing to come out and give me an estimate. I think that the others just weren't interested in a job this small. Several of them said they'd come but never showed.
Description of Work: Adria removed chunks of concrete left behind by a sloppy contractor who repaved a section of my driveway and refused to clean up his mess. She used her tractor to load the concrete into a dumpster. She also smoothed out part of my front yard.

I found the contractor's website on Craigslist and sent her an email on a Sunday afternoon asking when she could come out to give me a quote. She responded within two hours and made arrangements to come out that same day. She talked with us for about an hour, surveyed the property and took pictures. She asked questions to clarify that she understood what we wanted and gave us input where we sought it. A day later, she sent us a written quote, which was extremely reasonable and far less than others had bid for the job. She even offered to negotiate if we thought the price too steep. We made the decision to contract with her a few days later and immediately made arrangements for the time. She offered us several choices and let us know up front when she would be unavailable. We signed the contract and set up the dates and discussed rain out dates as well. In the mean time, we had a number of questions that required guidance from an expert. She answered our questions patiently and gave us good advice. Several days before, she contacted us to finalize the days/time she would be there and let us know the sequence of events. On the scheduled day, she arrived on time and ready to work. She checked with us frequently to make sure she was doing what we wanted. Before leaving, we agreed upon the start time of the next day's work. She later emailed us back and offered to come earlier if it would work better for us. On the second day, we encountered pouring rain, but she showed up anyway to see what she could get done. When the rain became too challenging, we made arrangements for the following weekend. On the following weekend, she again showed up on time and got to work right away. Once she completed her work, she made sure we were happy with her work and let us know that she would provide touch ups if needed, at no charge. In all, it was a stellar experience. I was concerned at first about hiring someone straight off the Internet, but my fears were quickly assuaged. She was extremely professional, helpful and hard working. She responded to our questions with confidence and gave us good advice/input. Her work was outstanding, rivaling that of larger land grading companies and we are very happy! We will definitely hire her again for any future work we have.
Description of Work: Land grading. Contractor leveled backyard slope to create three terrances. Lowest terrace was level with garage door and was cut such that water drained around the back of the garage and down a hill. The bottom terrace was cut such that water drained away from the house. Contractor also cut two terraces in the front easement. All terraces were leveled to avoid pooling of water.
