GROVES DISPOSAL SERVICE

We've been using Groves Disposal Service for 20+ years and are completely satisfied with the service. The rates are hard to beat, very reasonable. At one point, my husband had heart surgery, so I was toting the cans up and down our very steep driveway. Groves saw that I was struggling to do this, and they told me to not worry about a thing. For the next several weeks they would come to the top of the hill and get my garbage and then return the empty cans to their proper spot. I didn't ask them to do it, they just did it out of the kindness of their hearts! Talk about excellent customer service! We will use Groves as long as we are in their service area!

We have lived in our home for 37 years and we have always used Groves. We have never had a problem and they always set our garbage can exactly where we leave it for them to pick up. I’ve never seen them go through my garbage nor have they ever refused any garbage we have. I have seen them pick up the garbage that has scattered outside of others cans on the street so they are considerate as well

After 8 years of service and my bill always paid on time, Groves Trash just cancelled my contract because they have been digging through people's trash trying to "catch people cheating them" (in his words). He dug through my neighbors' trash also and he's looking for mail and packages with different addresses on it, to try to "bust" (his words) different households for combining their trash into one can. So, today, he dug through my trash bags and saw a UPS package with my parents' address on it (they get their packages at my house because of their German Shepherd dog) and is refusing me service. He removed the bags from my trashcan and threw them on the ground and left. No phone call, no explanation. I only learned about his issues by calling and asking for him to come back and pick up my trash. He informed me he will be back in several days to pick it up, which is unacceptable to me as I have a large family and depend on two-days-a-week trash pickup. At that time, he told me he would refund me the last month of my payment and he would no longer provide trash service to my home. After calling my neighbors, I learned he has been digging through their trash also looking for multiple addresses. Take this info as you want. I just wanted others to be aware of what is going on at Groves Trash. I have included a picture of my trash bag, which was tied twice, and then he ripped it in order to look inside and try to find mail with other people's addresses on it.

Groves picks up the garbage and places your garbage can back on your driveway. They never throw the can into your yard or leave it in the street. The driver and workers are always courteous and friendly, and the lady who answers their telephone is very sweet. I have even called them before when I forgot to put some trash out and they made a trip back to collect it.
