Great!!

Very communicative and responsive. I could not be there for repairs and to see what they did so they sent photos. Seems they did a very good job, according to my husband, as he climbed up on the roof to investigate after it was completed.

It was difficult to get working on the job due to all the rain we have had but when they were able to come they were here at daybreak which was a plus - get in & get it done - loved that. They were very neat & clean & at the end of the day there was no trash anywhere! Another plus. They did a great job on the roof & it looks great! We have a chimney and they decided, without talking to us, to put a tall piece of flashing around it & scored the bricks about 1/2 in deep to bend the flashing & insert the top into the scored slot - looked nice from the ground. They completed the job in a timely manner, 3 days as they had said. Then the rain started again and our chimney started leaking! - never had any leaks anywhere previously. It leaked around the outside & somehow came down the inside the chimney as well. It took a day or two to have our calls returned. In the meantime we had been up on the roof inspecting it & saw another area that was bare wood that had not been finished. When they came to see if they could see where the problem was the young man said well the boss did not have any caulking for me to finish with. When I pointed out the bare wood his reply was Oh I guess I forgot to finish that! I'll do it today. They caulked & finished the bare area. The weather complied & gave us more rain - still leaked in all the same places. It took another day or two to return our calls. The boss came with the young man the second time & they took all the flashing away & caulked more & replaced the flashing & more caulking. The story is not finished yet because we have not had a rain since to know if it is completely waterproof again. The boss is very nice, the workers constantly working-no wasting time. I was totally happy with the work & clean-up. Just unhappy with the leaks that we never had even with missing shingles & rotten spots. I also was not happy they decided to cut into our chimney without talking to us first. They did explain that cutting into the chimney would not have cause the problem - we're not convinced. The boss also found some holes in the mortar between the bricks & showed me the pictures of them. That may have been how the water got inside the chimney. Maybe the banging and vibrations the work produced loosened the mortar and caused some of the issue but not caulking because they didn't have any more was also a problem & not finishing an area that we would never have seen if we did not get on the roof, would have been a problem down the road.

The owner was nice and courteous and worked around our schedule and needs. The workers were polite and professional. Alan gave us 2 options on the job and was flexible when we changed our mind after work had been started.

First of all he just showed up and said he lost my phone number or he would have called first. I didn't think much of that, no one is perfect after all but my wife stated that was a bad sign. He was a pleasant person and seemed to know his business well and I had high hopes that everything was going to be taken care of in a professional manner. I had some shingles blown off my roof at least a dozen total in different places and some flashing on the front of the house that looks awful where the wind was so strong it actually blew the paint off of it. He pointed out I also had cracks around all the vents in my roof and they may be leaking even though I haven't seen a leak, so I agreed to replace them also. we matched the type and color of the shingles to the ones on my roof and discussed that they would never truly match because of weathering already on the existing shingles. At the end he ask for a week to work me into his schedule because he was covered up with roof replacements at the moment. I liked the guy so I said I'll give you 2 weeks to do it to make it easier he was happy for that and that was the last I heard from him. No phone call, No messages nothing, he just let me wait like a sucker with a roof in need of repair and never once thought to tell me he was no longer interested he had changed his mind. I don't care if he changed his mind that's his right, what I cant forgive is a 2 week wait to find this out.

Overall our experience was excellent with A & R.

I liked everything and he is a great guy. His personality and confidence stands out. He was extremely reasonable.
