DMS Construction (5954 Coca Cola Boulevard, Columbus, GA 31909) immediately responded to my request for my patio job. Rob Ciaccia came to my home and gave me an verbal estimate for the job that I requested. I then talked to my son in law who works in construction superintendent for Cobb County Schools and he told me the verbal estimate was too high and asked me to have Rob send me a written estimate. The next day, Amber Ciaccio called me to schedule a time for workers to begin. I told her I wanted Rob to discuss the job with my son in law first to make sure the estimate was ok and Rob understood the requirements of the job. When I communicated to Amber, I told her if Rob had taked to my son in Law Travis Alford, then thet could proceed with the job. To my amazement, when I came home from work, the old patio had been broken up. The next day, the old cement was removed and a form for the new patio was in place. On the third day, the cement was poured. From my eyes, the job was going smoothly. But when my son in law came in town to inspect the job, he was was very upset with the job and began to point out the many errors. When Rob came to inspect the job, he agreed that the slab needed to be removed and he sincerely apoligized(I thought) and told me he would redo this job. I went on vacation and left town on July 1 and did not return until Aug 18, 2014. I was dissappointed when I returned and the job was not done. I have attempted to call DMS @ 706-505-5680 and 706-326-0456 but no one answers the phone for me. I simply want DMS to say they have no intentions on trying to correct this job so I can hire another company to remove the poorly poured slap and redo this job. I can post pictures to point out the many errors if needed. I need a professional company to come out and take pictures and point out the errors. DMS should not be allowed to do this kind a job to trusting customers like me. As a single retired lady, i have a lot of jobs that need to be done, but after this experience, I am afraid to hire anyone. The one positive thing I can say is that I have not paid DMS for their services.
Description of Work: The job was to remove old broken cement patio slab and replace with a new cement patio slab.
