+ -1 moreDon't ever forget to get your trash out before an 8:30am pick up! Even if you put it out before they head out of your neighborhood and make it clear that you forgot by opening up your bin to show an overflow of garbage bags, they will promptly drive right by that full bin as they leave. Don't bother calling customer service to ask for help as they will tell you that they have no power to have their drivers come back to your neighborhood UNLESS you pay a fee. Then they will gladly have the truck swing back through, or as they said "call another truck" (wink, wink) to pick it up.

Description of Work: I did not want recycling...they continued to charge me for it anyway. I called and left messages (they never answered their phone), I sent emails, nothing helped. They just kept charging me so I had to cancel their service.

+ 0 moreTrash Taxi has missed three pick ups in the recent past. When I call I don't get apologies and we will make it right, I get a line of questions about when the can was at the curb (6 pm the evening before). The service person cannot even listen to my address, repeating it back incorrectly. Once they finally determined that again the driver is inept, they told me he would get it either that day or the next. It is nearly 7 pm the next day, so that won't happen. It appears by ratings that most trash haulers don't much care about service, but they spend money advertising to get new customers. I will replace Trash Taxi within the week.
Description of Work: I subscribe to weekly pickup service. I have been with them for over a year to my recollection.

+ -1 moreWe are still not sure if our garbage with be picked up today or not....frustrating. Never got a notice that the payment wasn't received.
Description of Work: We had no notice of discontinued service and multiple time problems with our account. They can not find our payment and now the burden of payment fell back on me and would not take a confirmation number. This payment was made well within time limits and was not past due. Frustrating to have to take time out of MY day to confirm a payment that I have already confirmed!!!!!

+ -1 moreIt's good when it's good but when it's bad, it is AWFUL. I like knowing when I schlep a fortress of garbage out to the curb on Thursday night it will magically disappear the next morning. However, it is a hit or miss proposition with these folks. Some days they just don't show up. No reason. I have called and complained numerous times. I am told a supervisor will be notified. No call back. No resolution. Still... no pick up until the next week. They also advertise recycling services. I asked about it. Not in my area because not enough people want it. ?!?! Have tried to get them to come get their trash can and refund my money. Still cannot get a response. I have filed a complaint with the BBB and my next step is small claims court to get my $$$ back for breach of contract.
Description of Work: Paid for yearlong garbage collection, approximately $250/year. Missed pick-ups (3 in the past 4 months). Rude customer service. No responsiveness to complaints.

+ -1 moreThe customer service has been beyond rude on several ocaasions. When I originally signed up for service I never got a callback to confirm and I called the office to ask about the delivery of our bin. The representative was so rude, she actually raised her voice with me and I was completely calm! I almost discontinued service right then and there. Also, I signed up for recycling on the website, it never said it was not available. After I had already paid for and committed to three months of service I got an "I'm sorry we don't have recycling in your area" email. Disappointing. The last straw was missed service this past week. I called and left a message and they called back and left a rather rude message on my phone....they sounded annoyed that I wasn't picking up the phone "we are calling YOU back". So I called and was told that our trash wasn't out and they have pictures to prove it if needed. Done. Done with a company like that. Our trash was left out from 6am to 8pm. And now we have another week of trash sitting in our garage. Thanks for nothing! Moving on to a company that will value a customer.

Description of Work: I switched to Trash Taxi after my previous trash collectors (Waste Mgt) started using trucks with automated 'arms' and sent me a letter with some very strict instructions as to the 'proper' placement of my bin along with a note that they would not pick up anything that was outside the bin. I seldom fill the bin all the way but on the few occasions that I need to leave something outside, I want it picked up. Trash Taxi gave me a very reasonable rate, which they lowered even more due to my being a senior. They told me that they would routinely pick up bags left outside - with a 3 bag limit! Since I started using them, they only missed one pickup (mechanical problems with the truck). They called me to apologize and they picked up the trash the very next day. Their website is simple and clear and the holiday schedule calendar is easy to find. I definitely recommend Trash Taxi. In fact, a few months after starting with them, I got a letter from Waste Mgt. saying they wanted me back and would reduce my rate to below that I was getting from Trash Taxi. My feeling was that they should have kept their rates lower to begin with, rather than raising them frequently while reducing the quality of service. I ignored them and am still happy with Trash Taxi (which, btw, is a local company).

+ -1 moreTrash Taxi always picked up on time and cleaned up any trash that fell out from my bags (overflow from the container). They always answered the phone in professional manner and worked with me in picking up extra yard waste. I pay by the year and get an extra month as a discount.

+ -1 moreThis company is the terrible. The people who answer the phones are over the top rude. I've asked them to check to see if they came out because my trash wasn't picked up. She became angry and said' " What do you want me to do?... go to the truck and look at the camera? I don't have time to do this. Just get up earlier and put your can out on time." O_o I have never meet such rude employees. After the bad snow storms they instructed us to put two weeks out together. When the truck came, the guys were so angry, we could hear them in the house yelling. They were screaming " What the H--L... if they have this much Sh-- then they need to buy two cans!" My husband almost went outside to explain that it was their company that told us to put it out. I just received a new bill. They increased their bill by $14.00. My bill is It was 30.00 now it's 44.37! I am currently trying to find another carrier in my area.

+ -1 moreThey were the cheapest I could find. I like them very much because they also take recyclable and they do not have to be separated and that I get paid for the recyclable which is really helpful. They pick that up once a week as well. I would definitely use them again in the future.
