SMITHWORKS CONCRETE CONSTRUCTION

First poured concrete in my pool to start with, took 3 days to clean that mess up. The pour went pretty good at first until they sawed the joints and left chips everywhere. I stayed in contact with brandon and he said he would come back to fix and never did. I kind of considered brandon as a friend, friends do not leave someone hanging. I would not recommend smith works to anyone, very disappointed in this mess

don't contact this company. I was in contact with Brandon since March 9th. I had a closing for refinance on my home on March 31st, And let him know about my situation with a refinancing deadline of my home. Brandon promised me since the first inspection that helping me with my driveway would be no problem. A "one day job" that got delayed for 3 weeks. I understood that weather was a factor for several days and continued to trust the fact that he would get the job done in time for the refinance on my home , with multiple promises from him about being able to get the job done by the end of March. A third reschedule was allowed with a promised completion of April 2nd was confirmed by phone. I agreed to Brandon's over the phone quote of the job plus more if needed to make sure I could refinance my house on time. Over the next few weeks I contacted him several times check timing and ability to complete the job. After the last reschedule of the job Brandon promised he would complete the job by April 2nd so I could meet my absolute deadline of refinancing. He stated it would be no problem and would have me taken care of. On the day of the deadline he did not show up, and when I called he sent me to voicemail. I cannot believe the unprofessional behavior of this company.

Brandon originally scheduled the work for July 2006 but it had to be pushed back twice. He stuck to his original quote although he noted that concrete prices had gone up. We agreed to not put in curbing due to the increased cost to him. His team got the old driveway torn out, everything filled in and leveled, and the driveway completed within 3 days. However, they left lots of materials (straps holding in the concrete while drying, chunks of the old driveway, and a big spill of concrete that hardened in the yard). After dozens of follow up calls, they eventually picked up some of the debris. I finally dug up bits of the hardened concrete on my own and tossed out the straps. I was able to pick up some of the old concrete pieces but I don't know what to do with the ones that I cannot move. In addition, as a result of the old driveway being torn out, railroad ties sunk and caused the sidewalk to crack and part of the front porch to sag. Brandon said there wasn't much he could do.
