Screens of Georgia

I was referred to Screens of Georgia by a company that had installed a below deck system at my home. When I first reached out to Screens of Georgia I received a reply asking for photos of my porch and rough dimension which I found a little strange a sales person would not come out to look and give me an estimate but I sent them the information. I received an email back from Derek, the owner of the company, giving me two different quotes, one for fixed screens and one for retractable screens. I called Derek to discuss the two different quotes and agreed on the fixed screen quote. I was instructed by Derek to email him back stating I wanted to go with the fixed screen quote and he would arrange for visit to the property. Three weeks later after three additional emails and four phone calls I have not received a reply from Derek or his team. Due to the lack of communication I would not recommend doing business with this company!

On September 11, I attended the Atlanta Home Show shopping for a garage screen door. I collected three contacts and also used HomeAdvisor.com for a fourth resource. The first gave me a (high) flat fee over the phone and were not interested in sending an estimator, the second provided a nice estimate but had an 8 week lead time and the HomeAdvisor.com reference stood me up for the appointment. When I contacted Screens of Georgia, the owner Derek, came to provide an estimate on the same day we spoke, 15 September. His suggestions were invaluable and price the most reasonable. He gave me a three week lead time for the product to be manufactured and installed. Today, two weeks later, I received a call about installation. The two young men were very professional and did an amazing job making sure all tolerances and performance were optimal. They even thoroughly cleaned my driveway when finishing the job. (The drive was laden with leaves prior to their arrival.) The interior screens in the office space operate beautifully and when closed, seem to disappear as the silhouette is within the window frame. I cannot say enough about the quality of the product and the expertise of the installation. If you are considering screens, please call Screens of Georgia!

Derek was very professional to work with. I would call him again if I need any of his services or products. We are looking forward using our veranda this summer to keep the bugs at bay and the vinyl now to keep the pollen out!

They were perfect. The way the gentleman explained everything to me, I though that they were going to have the screens made somewhere else and then just come and deliver them, so I was expecting it to be a very short visit. But what ended up happening was that they showed up with a tuck and they ended up building the screens on-site. It turned into half a day of standing around, just keeping an eye on them working, which I wasn't prepared for. It was also pretty expensive now that I look at it. The gentleman that did the screens was wonderful.

Installer came out with all the discussed materials and asked my opinion on how I wanted the door installed. Careful neat work. cleaned up and left no mess.

I was very happy with the entire experience. They made it very easy for me to understand how the door works and helped me in choosing the right one for my patio. They were very efficient and friendly. They cleaned up all of their materials before leaving and made sure I was completely happy.

I was supposed to have a lifetime warranty with that screen and when I had them come out the man said it was 25 dollars and make the check to him. I was uncomfortable with that and said I would make it to the company. He started yelling at me and said he was going to have to pay taxes and was going to get the money anyway. I called the owner and he wasn't bothered by what I said, so I told him I didn't want the man on my property again. I didn't understand why I had to pay when it was under warranty. I would not use them again.

They arrived as scheduled. Measured the opening. Installed the retractable screen door and instructed us on its use and care, all within 1 hour. They cleaned up and left. With the door they left a silicone spray and instructed us on its use.
