First time having my septic tank pumped. The price they quoted increased because my system was much deeper than normal requiring more effort. They inspected the whole system and found some broken pipes to the drain field. They repaired everything and worked until 9:30pm to resolve. They also clearly explained how the whole system works and how to maintain it.

Ray's Septic Service is the best septic company I ever hire. Kyle, the technician, was very honest and professional about the whole process. The answer after the inspection was : "the system is working in very good conditions and the tanks do no need to be empty", what a great news. They are highly recommended!!

It was quick the guys were Knowledgeable however did could have done a better job Raking and leveling the ground.

They were able to schedule visit quickly. Explained what they would be doing and why, took photos of the problems (we had several), and were upfront about the cost and why.

Great service. Called late afternoon when my septic started backing up. They were able to move ve some things around, and was at my house 1st thing next morning. Thought it was going to be a quick pump job, but when they uncovered the tank, there were several problems going on. Job ended up being a four hour job, but they took their time, and made sure everything was working properly before leaving. Very nice and courteous.

They charged me $275 to pump the sludge out, and did not get it out. Just pumped the water out. They where nice people but did not do what I paid for.

Will defiantly hire again, straight up with work and pricing.

I was able to contact and complete this project less then 48 hrs thanks to the quick professional team from this company. Steven and brooke arrived at the time we agreed on and finished in less then 2 hr so thank you to them and the company

Had leak from septic tank area. Rays responded very quickly (out that day) and were courteous and knowledgeable and for that I would rate them very high. I also would rate them as very expensive. Turns out the issue was not the tank but the PVC septic line broke coming from the house to the tank. Tank looked great and had been pumped less than 2 years ago which was why I was surprised to see the leak. No tank pumping or drain line cleaning involved but as it was a 30 year old tank, they did recommend also replacing the old degrading (but still functioning for now) cement baffles in and out. These are replaced with about $85 PVC fittings retail, $100 to be generous for having them right there. I grew up doing minor plumbing and have done my own repairs on broken outdoor PVC water lines at this very house. Literally digging them up by hand and repairing so I know the work involved and understand the dirty part of septic work. My estimate was the additional pipe and fitting to be replaced was about $100 dollars too so $300 cost in actual materials. Two men were there for 2 hours finding and fixing the issue. I also understand overhead so $150 per hour per man for $600 plus the small backhoe for $300 per hour or another $600. That put me thinking around $1600 so anything less than $2000, I would have thought reasonable given the speed and knowledgeable work. The actual cost was nearly $2500. Its not like once they are out there with the hole opened up to find the issue that you have a lot of options to not get the work done. When I commented I thought that was really high, it was implied that was what anyone would charge. I could have not done the two baffles but to have them done separately due to man power and getting someone out, it would have then cost the same even if the actual baffle price was less because you have to someone out to do it alone. In the end, while I give Rays high marks for timeliness and skill, and knowledge, I felt I paid over and above for the service. Sometimes you have to do that to get something done when as in this case I did not know what the issue was to price it in advance, but it did make me feel the price was excessively high because once they had to dig up the tank to assess the problem, then I was a forced to pay whatever they estimated. Would call them in a emergency but I do not think I would make them my regular service without seriously vetting price.

I knew their 150.00 pump fee was not realistic, so was expecting around 300 to 400. !800 hundred dollars later! Showed me where the T Baffle I Had was too long and was pumping sewage from the bottom of the tank instead of water in field lines. Made sense, I agreed to the price thinking they had to dig or jackhammer an old one out. 10 minutes it was out, a 40.00 PVC pipe inserted in line 650.00 and another T Baffle, maybe another 40.00 was installed in 5 minutes, another 400.00. Charges me an extra 300.00 for excess sewage? Pumped filed line, 10 minutes, another 400.00. So, when I questioned the owner, he said it was their expertise I was paying for, for showing me the problem, like a car mechanic, where he can turn one screw to fix your car and charge you 500.00. Did they fix the problem, yes, but just wanted to keep other people from getting taken for a ride. I doubt any of their customers ever paid just the 150.00 they advertise to get their tank pumped.
