Description of Work: They are a local family owned company. They screened in an existing covered porch using a sliding screen on one side with a French screen and screen sidelights and transom on the other side. It looks great. Jim and his wife came out twice to talk with me about the look I wanted to achieve. I needed the dog proof screen on portions of the screening and this was accomplished as well. The screened porch is sturdy, maintenance free and looks great. Fantastic value. |

Arrived a little past the delivery date, but, overall, we had a good experience,would recommend this company and would use them again. We installed everything ourselves.

+ -1 moreJim at GEM is a gem. He is helpful, kind, patient and sells you exactly what you need, zero pressure to upgrade beyond what's necessary. I had my screens done as part of a total remodel of my house involving more than a dozen vendors and contractors. My transaction with GEM was the most efficient, pleasant and value priced of them all. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Note: GEM is located in a historic factory building that makes for an interesting visit. It's also hard to find. Call and they'll talk you in. Your GPS or map program won't get you there.
Description of Work: I called GEM to repair all 15 removable screens on my house. I quickly learned that it was just a few dollars more to get all new frames and screens fabricated. Rather than chance an error measuring my existing screens, I just dropped them all off at GEM (their suggestion). At the same time I picked out a new frame color and screen type. Colored frames to contrast or match your house are no extra charge. Three days later I picked up my new screens. New mounting hardware was included at no extra charge.
