I contracted Etowah Roofing, Inc. to replace the entire roof with upgraded shingles and replace all of the gutters with 6inch gutters with gutter guards at a cost of $9250. During the summer, I noticed that birds and squirrels were going in and out of the guarded gutters on the ends where the roofer failed to install end caps to prevent animal intrusion. Nesting in the gutters, the animals were filling the gutters with debris which was exactly what I was trying to prevent by paying for and having the guards installed. I called Etowah Roofing and explained the situation requesting he come out, clean the debris out of the gutters and install end caps which should have been installed in the first place. The roofer came out while I was not at home, installed end caps and left leaving the new 6inch gutters with guards filled with debris. At first, I only noticed the end caps were installed and went on about my business, but later heard what was obviously an animal inside one of the gutters. I grabbed a ladder, removed a couple of guards to find a lot of debris and a small squirrel that was trapped in the gutters. The roofer had not cleaned the debris and took easy way out by simply installing end caps. I called the roofer a third time, and again requested that the debris be removed from all of the gutters. I have received no response and no action from the roofer. Doing my own inspection, I also found a very large opening in the guards on one corner of the gutters, way up high on the roof and not visible from the ground. The large opening will obviously allow further animal intrusion until corrected. This situation has been completely unacceptable, and now with no corrective action from the roofer is the reason for this complaint. At this point, I am removing the guards, cleaning the debris, screening the large opening and reinstalling the guards myself.
Description of Work: Installed complete roof with upgraded shingles, 6 inch gutters with gutter guards.
