Comfort Zone Heating & Cooling

Tech came out to repair a/c unit but turned out the unit had something other than what I expected wrong with it. Since unit was still under warranty, the tech suggested that I contact the people that installed the unit as it was going to cost approx. $500 to fix. I will use this company for any future problems once warranty on my unit expires.

Everything went well. We were supposed to get a rebate from the utility company because we installed a high efficiency unit which we haven't received yet. They told us we would get a $300 rebate, we sold up and then he told us we would get a $100 rebate, but we still haven't received the rebate. They submitted it to Georgia power, and Georgia Power is supposed to send us the rebate. Last time my husband talked to the man, he said he failed to submit the rebate, and that it was not $300, it was just $100. They were punctual and the quality is good. He got the rebate amount wrong, and he forgot to submit the rebate. The price could be a little less expensive, and they could have known exactly how much rebate we were going to receive, and not misled us on that, and they should have remembered to submit the rebate. The overall price was reasonable.

It went fine, it was very satisfactory.

We put in a new air conditioner unit, the installation went okay, the younger guy there seem to know he what he was doing, but single unit [00:34] free on it, it took three trips for them to figure out that's the problem, the second trip find out what the problem was but the guy couldn't find the leak he had to keep filling it up.

Comfort Zone didn't actually do the work. They were referenced to me by a website that gave me a bunch of references. I ended up not going with them. As far as them coming out and quoting, they were great. They came out immediately. They gave me a quote based on the tour they took at the house. When I compared them at the end with the price and what I was getting, I had to juggle around and pick the right one. They weren't really that bad though compared to some of the others.

They were excellent in all areas, professional, price and everything.

Great - service - office called to let me know serviceman was running behind. When he arrived he was polite, and thorough.

They were great; we were happy with them. Of course they charged for the full visit. Setting up the appointment was cumbersome and other companies who have come out are usually more concerned. They usually put on little shoes so they do not mess up my floor and those kinds of things, but they did not do that. The price was line with other companies. They were not cheap or expensive, just average. It was good quality; they did just fine.

It was great. They actually installed the unit 3 years ago.

He was excellent, very thorough, I felt very good knowing he was checking my air conditioning and he was very good. It was a visit to my house. He didn't find anything wrong but he said I could call him back if anything happened and it would be no charge.

They did fine. They replaced a thermostat that needed some follow-up and they came out and took care of everything. The workmanship was good with everything. It took them about three days. There isn't anything wrong with it, it was good. I would use them again.

It must be good because, my tenants were there and they did not complain. Usually, they will complain if it isn't done good.

It was through Angie's List. They had a Deal through Angie's List. They came out to do the initial Deal and I ended getting something else. They were good. The technicians are all very friendly and honest. If there is ever an issue they make sure that I was a satisfied customer. They came when they said the would.

One of the best contractor experiences we've had. I used to be in this business and knew what we wanted and needed. 3 other companies seemed to be intimidated by our having any knowledge. One never returned any bids, another sent a price but no explanation of the equipment they were pricing. The third sent a fair amount of information but was, in my estimate, 50% overpriced. Brian and Dave spent a full evening looking at our system, looking at my 4 proposals, and explained what they would be bidding. A few days later and we had pricing that met our expectations and we agreed to purchase. It was brutally hot when everything was ready to go. We agreed to postpone the installation a few days to allow their technicians to concentrate on service calls. Our old system was still working so those who had systems down needed help more than we did. Once started, the job went really well. Mark was most helpful through the whole process. We were without cooling for about a day and a half, but the heat had let up and we were able to open windows in the evening. The two techs who did the installation did top-notch work and got us back up and running as quickly as possible. (Sorry, I can't remember their names anymore but wish I could. They deserve some praise as well) The system has been running for a month now and we couldn't be more pleased. The outdoor unit is much quieter (2 speed scroll) and the blower inside is quieter as well (variable speed). We can't say enough good things about Comfort Zone Heating and Cooling. This company was so wonderful to work with from the start. Furnace blower broke down and air conditioner broke down in this heat wave. I am not a service plan customer but they came out that day to check the system. Told me they would be back out to give an estimate, after service call determined the problem. They originally didn't have time to schedule the appt until the following week, but they would come out and install a loaned window air conditioner in the bedroom to sleep. How many companies offer to do that? None that I know of. The came out the next evening installed the window unit and wrote up an estimate. We scheduled the work for the following Tuesday. As it turned out, they contacted me Friday morning and said they would be able to install that day. Service techs were polite, cleaned up, worked diligently. As, I said, it was a pleasure to work with everyone in this company from the sales rep, service tech to the financing manager. I highly recommend them and will continue to use them.

I called to schedule an appointment and they were able to schedule me for the following day, when all other providers I contacted were at least three days out. The technician arrived within the specified window and had the problem (a faulty capacitor) diagnosed within a couple of minutes. He had the replacement part with him and was able to fix my AC very quickly. He also crawled into the tight crawlspace under my house to check my filter. I was highly satisfied with the entire experience and intend to work with them again.

First and most important, the technician, Orlandas, was outstanding. He was very professional and courteous, took the time to make sure he had all the information to make recommendations, and took the time to explain what he was doing and answer any question we asked. I'd guess he stayed a lot longer than he expected to, but he never gave any indication that he had to get going to another appointment. We've had 2 other A/C companies out in the past to look at this system and diagnose/fix it. In each case they confirmed that there was a small leak in the coolant system and that Freon was needed, and they added the Freon, and it fixed the issue to a degree (pun intended, I suppose). Orlandas confirmed the leak was there, but after a long time testing and making the other fixes, he determined that additional Freon would not give us much improvement. So we decided to wait until perhaps our first maintenance visit and see if it was needed then (yes, we did sign up for the maintenance plan, largely because it saved us a bunch on the parts and the service call from today). Perhaps more to the point of how impressed we were with the dedication to getting things right - this system has never operated as efficiently as the other one in the house, and further, for years it has made a rumbling, almost grinding sound that could be heard throughout most of the 2-story house whenever the unit was on. Each of the other 2 companies that have looked at the unit have said this problem was a result of condensation on the coils or some other random reason, and that it couldn't be fixed, the only solution would be to replace the unit. When we told Orlandas about this, after he had fixed the main problem with the system ie the failed capacitor on the outside unit, and had done all the tests and was wrapping things up, he tossed out a couple of ideas and disappeared back into the attic. He came out holding the 2nd capacitor, having replaced it with a new one. He asked what we thought, and my wife said "Is it on?" Yes, indeed the unit was on, with the new capacitor, and the noise was gone. YEARS we've been listening to that noise. He then proceeded to show us the capacitor rating and tolerance, and with his test equipment how the capacitor was working but at greatly reduced efficiency, well outside the acceptable tolerance. His diagnosis was that this crippled capacitor was making the upstairs unit work much harder, hence the noise. Now, I could wonder about whether that capacitor absolutely needed to be replaced, but I know that now the system is working well, perhaps better than it has in a long time, and is not making the noise. As a customer, that's what makes me happy. As a technologist, he took the time and gave me enough information to convince me that his explanation made sense. And his credibility was even greater given that he did not see the need to sell me Freon to fix the problem even though I was fully expecting to buy it. Beyond that, Comfort Zone was fine to work with, and they showed up 18 minutes into the 2-hour window that was scheduled for their arrival. The work was done long before that window was even over. Our experience was top notch, nothing but positives.

Garry the technician is great, he is thorough, he is a pleasant person, polite, and he seems to be a very pleasant person.

I'm just going to get some more estimates because it was quite high. He was professional and everything when he came on out. I would use them if the price is right.

They sent two people out, one was a younger guy and one was an older guy. The younger guy was pretty good. With the older guy I don't know, it was a little long with him. Instead of working he was more interested in talking, but I told them about that and I think they told him that he needed to work and not walk around people's houses. The installation went pretty well, but I don't know if they didn't tighten it or something. I'm not really sure, but it took them a little while to figure it out. They had to come out on different times. They sent someone for free. They sent one guy and he thought he fixed it and then they sent another guy. He almost found it when he put soap around it, but he just didn't put it underneath. He missed it but the third guy found it and he fixed it, so other than that I've hadn't had any issues with it. Overall I thought they did a good job. They are willing to stand behind their work and they gave me a 1-year service, so they came back out a couple more times to service it. It was a pretty good price for what I got. I saw the price on the Angie's List website on one of the coupons. The first time I called they actually had me wait and said that they were booked up, but the consequent times I called them they sent someone right away. They were always on time, but that one guy was walking around. He was in my kitchen. I had a little card that when you opened it up it had like a little paper mache White House inside. He picked it up, opened it up and was looking at it. I was like, "Don't touch people's stuff." I will use them in the future. I'm going to have a filter put in.

Everything seemed to be fine. I've been using them for about two years now. There was only one time that there was an issue but they came back out the next day and fixed it. They'll reach out to check in to make sure everything is doing all right and schedule appointments and stuff like that ahead of time. I'd give them A plus. They've done really well. I would tell people to reach out to them and use them. They have great quality and great service.

They were okay. They worked for me for a long time. They've worked for us for about 4 or 5 years.
