Comfort Zone Heating & Cooling

Comfort Zone Heating and Cooling exceeded our expectations. When our heat pump stopped working we called three different companies for estimates. We chose Comfort Zone because of their customer service and price. They were very prompt at responding to our calls and emails. While another company's quote was about the same as Comfort Zone, Comfort Zone's heat pump came with a 12 year parts and labor warranty. We were impressed with everyone we dealt with during this process. The receptionist, technician, and installation team were all very professional and efficient. We will absolutely use them for all of our future heating and cooling needs.

I can't say enough about the people and company, I spent 30 plus years in the construction business dealing with subcontractors, these guys are at the top of the list. Hire them with confidence.

They did the best they could with an old system. We went along. I think partially because the system was old and things were difficult in managing it. I didn't feel overjoyed at their service. This was just frustrated, repeated process that we just went through. I can't say anything incredibly positive about this guy but I don't know that it was their fault. Their service people were inconsistent. They were always responsive.

It was fine. They should be on time and reduce their prices. They didn't arrive on time.

We had some trouble. The motor burned out in the fan and it was under warranty so it was replaced. For some reason the wiring burned up as well but now it seems to be working fine.

I think they did okay. It was an easy job. They were accountable. They came when they said. They knew how to fix it. Seems like they are knowledgeable.

They did a good job. They did the work with my tenant there. They've done things like they put the system in the tenant's name instead of my name so that was a little frustrating but that's okay. The cost was fine.

It went pretty well. They were very professional and very courteous. They did what they were called out to do. However, my house wasn't cooling how I feel like it should be cooling. As far as coming in and kind of doing diligence, I feel like they should check the system if it's working properly. In the heat of the summer, I had my AC at 71 degrees and it would never get cooler than like 78 degrees. Something wasn't really working right. They checked everything. They were good but my problem wasn't resolved. I don't know if it's their fault. They were pretty responsive.

It was fine. They were nice to deal with at the beginning. They came and they seemed to do a good job. They had to come back because the guy did it wrong but that's okay. Overall, they were fine.

It was fine! I have them come and check it once a year. One person they sent out here one time, I didn’t like because it took them too long. Then they sent another person and it didn’t take them long. They gave the best price for me, because I called three companies and they were the better price. So far I haven’t had any problems. When I complained about one worker, they sent another worker the next day and I didn’t have any problems. They were on time.

Well overall - prompt. 2 of the 3 service men who came were professional. I was informed that the 1 who was not is no longer with them.

I have had Comfort Zone come twice now; both times have been very satisfactory. Both visits the worker arrived on time, performed the work quickly, and cleaned up well when finished. I have been very pleased, and will purchase another maintenance contract from them this coming year.

These guys were very great at communication and keeping us apprised of the status of everything along the way. They had to order a couple parts (zone control board and humidifier) so in the initial install they installed the furnace and A/C equipment, and a week later came back to finish the zone control board and humidifier. The two people that came out were very professional, and honest. There were many questions that we asked, and they were very knowledgeable. They also came in below other competitive bids.

Gave us different options/costs on type of replacement unit. Arrived on time and called ahead to confirm appointment. Installers were very polite, professional, and worked hard to get the job done despite some issues with our older duct work, and having to move some things around to make room for a larger unit. They explained everything and cleaned up when they were done. We scheduled 2 years of service for new unit and older main floor unit.

Their service, knowledge and professionalism was of the highest quality!! I highly recommend them.

They are terrific. They are superb and that's why I had the annual maintenance with them. As a matter of fact they replaced my heating and air; it will be two years in December.

I would highly recommend them, they are very thorough and do a good job. They are good at analyzing problems and also have competitive maintenance contract prices. I would recommend them. I also use them at my rental properties and have used them over a year. I use them for maintenance and any repairs needed. They came out right away during the hottest time of the season, I was very satisfied with that.

I use them for reliability, they are a medium sized company which I like and their pricing, which is very competitive. Also their responsiveness.

The initial interaction with dispatch (Renee) and service technician (Barry) was great as they each explained everything in full detail as to what to expect. Barry provided various options and worked on getting my home cooled off immediately. While working outdoors, I applied for Comfort Zone special financing options for future AC installation; temporary card received online. Unfortunately, the temp card did not provide an expiration date, so Barry was unable to process as a regular visa payment. Barry called into the office for assistance. This is when everything went totally WRONG and to the left. Our phone conversation basically turned into a heated debate between myself and Renee. Renee obviously doesn't know anything about their financing options and became rude and condescending to me. "Just pay him so he can get to the next service call." I tried directing her to the site so she would become knowledgeable of the companies offerings. In addition, explained Wells Fargo Home Projects advised they should be able to process the payment without an expiration date as it is considered special financing. What happens to the customer is always right? Superior customer service flew out the window. The best course of action would have been to mention something like, "Let me get you over to our accounting/finance department to further assist you. As this is not my area of expertise." The conversation would have remained pleasant rather than experiencing bad customer service. Please understand anyone that deals with the customer is a direct reflection of the company. The poor score has no reflection on Barry at all - he was exceptional. Professionalism rating is solely based on my experience with Renee. Renee obviously is unaware of the finance options and should read Crucial Conversations by Kerry Patterson to learn how to talk when stakes are high. This made me not want to give them my business...

They were prompt, courteous, and very professional.

Earnest added freon. Quoted me $350.00 to clean the condenser coil. I knew this was excessive and told him I would clean the coil which I did with about 15 minutes work and some Home Depot coil cleaner. I asked one of the office people how much they charge to clean a coil and she was very evasive and told me to go back to the technician to get a price. A little research from other companies verified that about $150 is an average price for coil cleaning. He tried to convince me I needed a new capacitor for over $200 but told me the unit was running as we spoke. I declined the capacitor. The unit failed about 5 hours later. Called a different HVAC company who came and discovered a bad circuit breaker inside home. As you can see I took some action to protect myself and wound up not paying excessively. I do, however, hate to have to battle with people who may be trying to run the tab up.
