Rusty was the technician. It went very well. He is professional and polite. He noticed that one furnace was not putting out enough air so I had him install a new capacitor. I plan to Use Comfort Air in the spring to service our two air conditioning units.
Description of Work: The provider did a furnace inspection and tune-up for two furnaces and installed a new capacitor.

They did an okay job but the sad thing is they made a double mark up on the bid for the work that they wanted to do. Basically what I bought was for the tune up. He didn't finish the tune up because the exhaust motor was bad and he wanted about as much the unit cost to fix it. I said no but thanks and he never finish the tune up. I just order the motor from a distributor and fix it by myself. The motor was only for 70$ and he wanted for almost 600$ to fix it. They were professional and prompt but they were really overpriced. The guy was smart they definitely know what they were doing.

My experience with him was great. It was excellent service. He was very informative. He answered any questions that I had. I had purchased both my furnace and air conditioning system from that company. They were a great company. I had no complaints. They were more helpful than any other company that I had dealt with so far. He also looked at the air conditioning unit for me and told me that it didn’t need any servicing or any Freon. He didn’t charge me for just looking at it. That made it really nice. I have a programmable thermostat and I needed some instructions on that. He went over that with me and even had me stand there and made sure that I could do it myself. He really went into depth about it. I really never understood how it worked and now I do.

I purchased an existing home and had Comfort Zone come out to inspect my furnaces. The were courteous, clean, and thorough, even pointing out potential issues due to lack of maintenance by the previous home owner. Within 3 months of the inspection, one of my furnaces went out (as they warned). My warranty company sent a technician to fix a blower motor, but we went the additional step of having Comfort Zone replace the furnace. Not only was the price fair, but 10 years of parts and maintenance made it a terrific deal. I have not had any problems since calling them, and plan to use them for all work in the future.

The representative from Comfort Zone did a very good job of evaluating the problem and presenting options for repairing or replacing the heating unit. I got estimates from several companies and felt this was the best alternative. They offered me a competive discount and were very responsive and timely. I will definitelly use them for maintenance and future work.JA

Originally, I was really pleased with the service Jim provided to us. He seemed to take his time with the inspection and cleaning and then provided me with a lot of detail regarding what he did, as well as made recommendations for what we could do to help with the overall heat in the house during the day (we have really tall ceilings and big windows). We made sure we added curtains everywhere, but were still seeing no improvement (it got up to 87 in our house yesterday). The biggest issue we had (and was the reason we had the inspection done to figure out what was wrong) was that our vents didn't seem to have ANY air pressure behind them, even when the system was running full blast with the fan on. The unit itself is fairly new (2 years old). We ended up calling another company last night and they came out this morning to check things out. Already, our air is blowing stronger and colder. The new company also cleaned (again) the outside unit, which he said was really dirty. I was told that was done when Comfort Zone came out, so not sure what to think! I think my biggest frustration is that all of this should have happened with the initial inspection we had through Comfort Zone. They seemed like such a friendly, attentive company, but if the work they did provides no service to the customer, then it's pointless. We were willing to pay for anything that needed to be done to help it work better (as it was, we paid $118.00 for refrigerant to be added), so I'm not sure why Comfort Zone didn't find the same problems and make fixes as the new company. I'm not sure he even checked the vents to see if/how they were blowing. If he had, he would have immediately been able to tell that something wasn't right because he came in the early evening when the house has hit it's hottest point.

The technician arrived on time with advanced notice by phone that he was on the way. He was very professional and informative giving us a variety of options once he'd determined the cause of the problem. He wore "booties" in the house, he made friends with dogs, and although he could have easily told us he'd have to come back, he continued to work in the rain and after a long day in the field for him until he found and solved the problem.
Description of Work: AC was not cooling. After testing the system the technician determined there was a leak somewhere in the coil. Since we live on Social Security, the prospect of having to replace the unit was upsetting. Although it was starting to rain and it was the end of a long day for the technician, he continued to run tests, consult with other technicians, and was determined to find the leak in the hopes that it was somewhere a repair might be performed. Fortunately for us, and a huge credit to him, he located the leak and it was in a place that could be repaired.

The Service tech called ahead of arrival as I was told he would. He was actually early but that was acceptable. He was polite and used fabric booties over his shoes before entering the house which is appreciated. He was informative about his work and offered suggestions for most efficient usage. He explained the bill which was exactly what I expected via the website which I explored before booking the appointment. It was suggested that we may want to take advantage of their maintenance plan. We declined and it was not pushed. I feel the company was extremely efficient and did exactly what I wanted done for a fair price. I would use them again.

The Comfort Zone rep was on time, courteous, and quite personable. He did a thorough evaluation of our existing 15 yr old HVAC system, looked at the issues we were having, and talked to us at length about our poor zoning system. He had even noticed our crooked vent (put in that way when we had the roof replaced two years ago) and said that they would take care of that while they were up in the attic. Mike answered our initial questions about the company by explaining how the company got started and how it got to where it is today. He said the company built its business on customer service, and that shows, in the company literature, in Mike's presentation, and later with the installation crew. Mike explained all of the work that they would do, from setting up to flushing the old refrigerant to disconnecting the existing system, and how the new system would be set up, how the new zoning system would be set up, how the vents would be reinstalled, to how the water-detection switch in the pan would function (that was an upgrade from the standard float switch) and finally to how the new digital control would work. Mike followed up our visit with a note in the mail, with email, and with a phone call all in less than a week's time. After we decided we wanted Comfort Zone to do our installation but with a different brand system than Mike originally offered to us, he matched the system estimate we had from another company for the brand we wanted, while giving us a couple of upgrades to some parts of the system and to our service agreement. We quickly set a date, and the crew arrived promptly at 9am like Mike said they would. They worked all day long, using tarps to cover our flooring and stairs all the way up to the attic stairs. They managed to get the old system down and out of the house without marking any of the walls. Mike was onsite at the beginning and again after lunch, to make sure everything was going smoothly. The crew finished around 8pm in the evening after making sure all of the controls were working properly, testing both the a/c and the furnace and checking the controller. They showed us how the controller worked, and left all of the manuals and instruction booklets with us, except for the furnace book - they put that one up with the furnace for the service guy to have access to at our first service appointment. They took the old equipment with them, and cleaned up everything. The only thing that wasn't absolutely perfect was the molding they put back up around the attic stairs (which drop down from the ceiling) that had to come off to get the equipment down. That's saying a lot for the replacement of an entire HVAC system. We are thrilled with how perfectly the new system is functioning! And we look foward to our first service visit with comfort zone six months from now. We can't say enough what a great job they did for us.

Terrific experience. I had them come out initially for furnace tune-ups. The technician arrived on time and was very thorough, pointing out a range of potential issues and providing recommendations on how to have them addressed via my home warranty. Service was so good that I had them come out a second time for a furnace replacement. The furnace replacement went well and was done for a price/warranty combo that could not be beat.

The original tech who found the problems was so knowledgeable and helpful. He called to the office and had another tech come out and give a quote. I was shocked at how reasonable the price was. (We had been quoted $7500-10,000 by other companies.) Our system was installed the next day. I don't know how these 3 guys installed the furnace. They had to take the old unit - which was huge - out of a very low attic (we have a ranch house), down a set of those ceiling pull-down stairs, and get it all the way across the house. Then they had to do the reverse for the new unit. The three of them were here for 9 hours (and they told us it would take about that long) and worked non-stop. (I think they only took 30 minutes for lunch.) The HVAC system has a 10-year warranty and they offer a service plan that is so reasonable. I will definitely use them every year for maintenance. They also did a follow-up the next day to make sure the system was working fine and (more importantly) that we were happy and satisfied with them. WE WERE! Feel free to contact me if you would like a more details. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Description of Work: A+++++++ LOVE THIS COMPANY! They installed a complete HVAC system for us. We called them to do a furnace inspection and they found that our heat exchanger was cracked and there was a small amount of carbon monoxide leaking. They also found problems with our A/C which is no surprise since it was installed in 1983. (We had been keeping a home warranty in effect since purchasing the house in 2004 as the inspector said the system could go at anytime! Our warranty company allowed us to use Comfort Zone for the repairs and covered 60% of the total cost.)
