Apex Fence Company

Order was for replacement of existing privacy fence with dig wire. I was told I would not need dig wire as fence would sit flush with the ground. New fence was to be dog ear privacy fence with 0 inch spacing between the boards. After fence was installed June 16-17 there were several large gaps underneath the fence and the majority of the spacing between the boards is 1/2 inch. I can see right through my "privacy" fence After several discussions with company, dig defence was installed to address the gaps beneath the fence. Repeated attempts to address the 1/2 inch spaces between the boards have been unsuccessful. First response was to tell me it was normal shrinkage and warping. Then I was told that it is impossible to get the boards of the privacy fence flush and that gapping is normal and in the Ts and Cs. Gapping BEWTEEN the boards is not referenced in the Ts and Cs. September 12 I was told that they could send someone out with more boards to attempt to remove and tighten boards that show a gap - which is the MAJORITY of the boards. That has not happened and since then I have heard nothing. The 25 yr old fence that was replaced didn't have spaces like this. I ordered a privacy fence and that is what I expected.

Great work! This is the type of company I love hiring. . .they show up on time, do excellent work, and clean up after themselves when the job is done. We had quite a large fence replacement job done on do separate fence areas. They did an amazing job and I will definitely hire them again if/when I need more fence replacement.

Willie walked our property with us and helped me with the documentation for our HOA approval, and Heather and I partnered together to schedule the installation. The installer arrived on time, before 8:00am, and did a great job. He was neat and didn’t leave any mess on our yard! We love supporting local small businesses, and Apex Fence Company is located around the corner from our neighborhood. We recommend them to anyone who needs a fence!

50% was asked for up front and Work began 6 weeks later...this was expected. I rated fair and good because after paying $5k for a fence, the dados in ALL of the posts look as if a drunken sailor cut them. They missed putting nails in some of the boards..and trying to get someone to call back and then actually show up to make minor repairs (not the posts, only to reverse hinges) it took weeks. Also, I have terrible oil stains in front of my home now from the installers truck. Also, they left terrible piles of trash st my house for 3-4 days that looked terrible. After 6 weeks, I am still picking up nails that they left in my grass from their nail guns.

They were great to work with and did a good job.

First of all they were about 4 weeks later than they told me when I put 50% down - $1,000 for a $2012 fence. They came out and demoed the old fence. Left a concrete mess EVERYWHERE. They moved the fence from he original line because MY NEIGHBOR told them too. Can you believe that? They never called me or let me know anything about it. When I asked them THEN they told me. They made a mess, didn't so what I asked for....I sent the owners pictures and asked them to come and make this right. They never responded. They were so disorganized they marked my 50% down payment as "paid in full". So I got a decent quality fence - not like I wanted - but material and labor were ok. Destroyed plants, garden fencing, and concrete mixed and left in the yard. They also left a 3' tall mound of dirt in my yard.....a mountain, and ripped screws out of the hardie board where the previous fence was adhered to the house. I tried to keep money local. Never again will I trust these guys to do anything from me. And if you see them....RUN! Don't walk away...run! Their managers are a bunch of incompetent clowns.

They worked from sunrise to sunset, and did a good job. My dog is happy also!

Here's my experience, decide what you may ..... First, they didn't show up on the scheduled day and said they "forgot" to finish the scheduling. We had to call MANY times just to get our deposit in, as they weren't calling us back. They finally install and bring the wrong materials. They get the right materials and then disappear during installation with a 2 foot open gap. We have to call around and finally get a hold of someone who says they'll be back the next afternoon to finish the fence. Come the end of day, they haven't arrived to finish the install and we have to inquire again ... they finally show up. The install finishes and we look around and see concrete all over, spotty spray painting on the aluminum, fencing pieces all over and they even piled up dirt they dug up over the AC unit. After much discussion they finally come back and fixed some of the issues ... but three months later it's still not complete. All they want to do is have me verbally give them credit card info instead of swiping a card ... I am NOT comfortable giving them this info over the phone! Especially with all the issues I've dealt with!!

Their price was right in the middle. I had an issue with them. Some of the coloration in the wood was different. I asked them about it and they told me that that section of the fence was a different distributor. So, that is why I see differences in the wood, but the problem was it took them a long time to get back to me. They were on time. It did not take them very long from the time that we talk about doing it to getting there. I am less likely to use them again. I would look around more. I would probably look harder.

We recently had a chain linked fence installed. Tom (sales) was very thorough and did an excellent job answering all my questions. The crew showed up on time, were hard workers, were very professional and did a great job. Apex Fence Company exceeded my expectations and that rarely happens! I would highly recommend using them to anyone!

In our backyard I have some difficult issues, so they helped us worked out the difficulties. We have a pretty good size yard. They were reasonably priced compared to other companies. They were responsive and the quality of the work was very good. I was very pleased. I've also recommended them to other neighbors.

Spoke with provider and stated I was calling because of a deal on Angie's List and I wanted to get a quote. Christi asked for me to send her an email with what I was looking for along with the survey of the lot. She told me an estimator would get back to me and I have not received a response. I followed up with her via email on June 13th with again no response. I have found another fence installer that has been more responsive and will be doing the work.

My first impressions when they gave me the quote was the quality of work and very quality organization.

They did arrive on time for the estimate. They were very prompt in giving me their response. Their estimate was probably somewhere between $2400 and $3500 range. I got 3 estimates though. They were prompt and courteous. They even followed up on the estimate to see if I had any additional questions or if I had made a decision. I'm pretty sure they arrived on time or if not, a little early. I just need to make a decision to get on with the job itself. I would definitely call them back to review the estimate and answer any additional questions that I have, or make a new estimate.

Everyone at Apex - Bill, Chris and Christy - was prompt, courteous and professional. They responded quickly, did the work quickly and as specified, and even rectified an installation mistake quickly, without question, without any hassle and best of all, without additional charge. They did the bulk of the work - 215' of pressure treated dog ear fencing plus two gates- in one day. Then, at my request, they came back and installed 13' of additional fencing in a small area of my yard the following day and didn't charge me for it. Great work, good company, good people.

It looks great! They were very accommodating with scheduling, and timely with the install. We've gotten many compliments from complete strangers passing by!

They gave a free estimate with a couple of quotes, one for three rail and one for four. They felt that the four rail with the lowest rail close to the ground and wire attached would be the best and least expensive way to keep the dogs securely in. When they did the work, they left some gaps in several places where the dogs could dig under. I called the office and had them fix it before the left the site. Even though I had some communication issues, there were very easy to reach via phone whenever I had a problem. There were no surprises in my final bill, and since I had the fence not go quite as far to the back of the property as originally planned, I payed slightly less for the work. The job took two days. They were easy to reach to schedule an estimate, and provided a quote within 48 hours. The only suggestion for improvement that I have is that they provide a sample photo or drawing in an email estimate of what the fence will look like - what they do provide is adequate to take to city hall, and they did a good drawing on my survey to show the trees and the fence, but if you don't have any prior experience in hiring this sort of work, then it's hard to picture it, and to communicate what you want. Apex is very good at making sure you're satisfied in the end, I just think that putting together some drawings would make it easier for those of us working on solutions to secure our dogs and kids. If they draw several types, they could be re-used for other jobs. I don't think this would be necessary for picots, just for ranch rails with wire. It's a good, affordable option for large yards, but it's hard to picture how it will turn out ahead of time.

I did not decide to use Apex Fence Company, I went with a different company. Their sales person was pretty good, he came out, he was friendly. I had to chase after him for the quote. He said he would give me a quote but I didn't hear from him on the day he said he was going to. I sent him an email and then called his company to get the quote.

Eric Fischer was a fantastic representative. He came out on the weekend to do a quote on what the cost will be for us to put a fence up, and was very honest. He stated that Apex is not the cheapest and he was right. We retrieved quotes from other vendors as well, but none of the vendors seemed as credible. We're very pleased that we stuck with Apex, because they did a great job. Our new fence looks great and out pup now can enjoy the back yard without us worrying. They completed the work in less than a day and cleaned up very well. The only traces that were left included the paint on the grass used for marking and the fence. It was wonderful! Highly recommend their services.

They finished in one day. I asked to have them change the posts to gothic and it was no problem. I called about the posts having some wood hanging from them. They scheduled me for another appointment within a week. They came and nailed in all loose boards on old portion of fence, I only asked for one board to be done. They sanded all posts to perfection and checked every nail and board on new and old fence. Excellent service.

We don't recommend going with this company.
