Mike's Tree Service

We needed the trees down to install a driveway, called Mike and got and estimate. We had a time condition and he and his crew worked with us and got the job done in plenty of time. Thanks for a job well done..

We called Mike on a Monday and he was in the area so gave us a price and the next day they did the job. Whole crew was very professional and did a great job cleaning up.

I asked him to come back and finish cleaning up some of the stuff he left out after grinding the tree stump left all the moss out there which is hard to get out. He kept saying he'll be there next week, he never did show up. I stop calling, I called him for almost a month. I won't be using him again and I won't recommend him to anybody. You might try somebody else.

We identified 20 trees - they found another 16, bumping the price up much higher than expected. We did ask them to do this though. . . they removed all of the trees that they took down. Our only complaint is that they didn't grade the areas that they dug up

It was great. They came out a week after we called them. The service was very prompt and very thorough. They cleaned up afterwards. We were highly pleased. We plan on hiring them again.

Mike and crew always does an amazing job.

The job took two days total and Mike needed about 2 weeks lead time to be able to do the job. He supervised personally to get things started and then left the bulk of the work to his foreman and work crew. They had all the equipment they needed to get the trees down: chain saws, wood chippers, trucks, Bobcat with claw for moving downed trees and debris, and stump grinders. Total cost was $2800. I am totally satisfied with the work. Would definitely use Mike again and also recommended him to a neighbor. Great job!

Not good and it was a question of them finishing the job when they were suppose to, I just they were okay, but it wasn't a great experience.

Contacted Mike in August to remove a large tree near the house/deck that had started to rot at the base. I contacted him solely because of his "A" rating on Angie's List. Mike arrived on-time to perform an estimate, and quoted $400.00, a price I agreed to. We also agreed to remove the tree a couple of weeks later when we could both fit it into our schedules. I wanted to be there at the time of service since the tree was very close to the house, and the lawn has a delicate in-ground sprinkler system. After a couple of weeks, I called Mike several times to schedule the appointment. He was very reluctant to commit to an actual time, or even an actual date. I do understand that outdoor weather plays a factor; however I could not get him to understand that the answer, "I'll call you when I'm swinging by" is not acceptable for a customer who DOES have a schedule to keep. Nevertheless, I took a leap of faith, and wasted an entire afternoon waiting for Mike to show. No Mike, no phone call, no anything, just a rotting tress still tottering dangerously close to my house. I asked around my circle of friends (one of whom works at Ga Power), and got another recommendation. He took down the tree 3 days later for $325.

He did everything he promised and then some. I could not have been more pleased and I recommend him without reservation. Additionally his price was very fair. A great company who does great work. Thanks Mike.

Mr. Mike happened to be in the area and showed up the day I initially called to provided a free quote. I found him to be very knowledgeable and helpful in suggestions. Because the nature of work, especially emergency situations caused by storms, it was hard to nail down an exact day. I needed the work done prior to excavation crew scheduled to arrive and fix grading for water drainage. Although It was tough for them on such a tight schedule, and just having a storm hit the area the next day, I am so thankful Mr. Mike and his crew were able to accommodate my needs! Mr. Mike called me when they were on their way, he evaluated the situation, got the crew started, and was gone to take care of business. They remove a tree and trimmed two other trees, even were able to add a little additional work while present at a great price. Crew was very friendly, professional, helpful, and went beyond that which was expected. Cleanup was quick and thorough. Great family business, I would highly recommend.

Professional, timely, quick, cleaned up

Mike was very responsive to my request for a quote for tree trimming. He scheduled an appointment the next day, and gave us a written quote. However, we decided to wait to have the work done.

A storm blew down a tree in our backyard. I left a message on the answering machine which was promptly answered. The tree was removed right away. As soon as the yard was dry enough the stump was removed. The cleanup was ok. Overall I was pleased with the job.

Mr. Douglas responded quickly to my phone call. He then came when he said he would and gave me a reasonable estimate. He took down the tree and cleaned up the mess while I was at work and called when the job was complete to let me know he was finished. Mr. Douglas was professional, knowledgeable, courteous, dependable and punctual. I cannot say enough good things about him and his work. I would definitely use his services again and reccommend him to family and friends!

Mike came and gave an estimate on tree removal and gave the best possible price to fit our budget. We even received a 10% off coupon from their mailer. Care was taken to make sure that the tree that leaned toward the house would be safely taken out. Workers were very polite, cleaned up after the job, ground the stumps effectively. They were mindful of keeping the equipment out of the way, so that we would be able to use the driveway to get in and out.

We hired Mike's crew several years ago to take down five trees in our yard. The crew did a good job and the price seemed reasonable at the time. A couple of months ago, we called Mike to give us an estimate on taking approximately 25 trees down in our yard - the estimate was comparable to "most" others we received (inspite of the 10% discount for being a repeat customer). The lowest estimate we got for our job was from Gray Brothers out of Macon, GA (giving us an estimate that was about half the price Mike had quoted)... So we took the chance on Gray Brothers and we were not disappointed. Gray Brothers did a much better job than Mike's crew had done years ago - AND - it was about half the cost we would have paid Mike.

I called Mike Oct 4th. He came over that day gave me a bid of $1600, 20% less than two competitors. Mike and his crew showed up Oct 8th, as promised and removed 4 pine trees from my back yard. Three of them were big, 2 to 3 feet in diameter and 120 feet tall. They were in a tight space near to my neighbor's fence. Mike entered from my back property line by removing 2 sections of my back fence. He topped and limbed the pines and then dropped the trunks with zero damage to any structures or landscaping. They then ground the stumps to below grade, removed all wood and slash and reinstalled my fence. His crew were careful, professional and hard working. I tipped Mike an extra $100 and asked him to take his crew to lunch. J would definitely use their service again.

He never called me or showed up, it's been 4 weeks. Not dependable son-in-law. Finally did job himself. I'm a christian and this kind of character DOES NOT impress me in a good way !

Don't pay for the job in advance like I did...

He was great. He gave us a price, did what he said and did it quickly. We spent $400. I think the price was reasonable. We will use this company in the future.

Mike and his staff were professional, dedicated to quality work, and most importantly they followed through with every aspect of their work even after they were paid. We had some set backs when they were putting down the sod due to a rain strom. We had to wait several weeks for the weather to cooperate to finish the work started. During this delay tiem, Mike came by regularly to keep me updated and checked the work already completed. Even after the job was completed, Mike or his brother would stop by to make sure that all was well. They were very helpful and dedicated to making their customers happy.
