He showed up at the agreed upon time and started the work. I was a bit concerned at first because I wanted the job done in under a week and I expected he would show up with at least one helper but he was by himself. Turned out not to be a problem, he did the taping and first coat all on the first day, returned two days later and did the second coat in about half a day and came back a day later and touched up in a couple hours. I was very impressed with the speed at which he did all this and the quality was very good. I was hoping to just paint the ceilings and not have to do texturing and the quality of his work was more than sufficient to allow this. (For those who may not be familiar with ceiling drywall, because of the large surface area with few interruptions and the fact that a person's eye level is within a couple feet of the ceiling, any imperfections in the mudding will create shadows that will be very visible. That's why so many builders use textureing on the ceilings because it makes life much easier for the drywall finishers by hiding imperfections.) The ceiling in the 16 x 16 foot master bedroom is just painted and there are no discernible imperfections, ridges, waves or anything. This is especially impressive since I hung the drywall myself and not being a pro there were some large gaps between sheets and other man made imperfections. All things considered I am very pleased with the quality and speed of the work he did. He spent about 16 hours total over three visits which was far less than I expected it would take. He was professional throughout the job and didn't leave until I had inspected every square foot (he did touch up a couple of spots, but very quickly without complaint). I would definately use him again.
Description of Work: I added approximately 1100 square feet on to my house in the form of a two story addition with 2 bedrooms, den, laundry room and bonus room. I hung the drywall myself and then brought in Mr Littlejohn to tape and mud all the seams, do the finish mudding/sanding to bring everything in the new construction to the point that it was ready to be primed and painted. I supplied all the materials, he used his own tools. He estimated that it would take a day to a day and a half to tape the seams and apply the first coat of mud and then he would probably return in a day or two to do the second coat which would take about a half day then return after a day or so to do final touch up.
