+ -1 moreI couldn't have been more pleased. My personal tech was Robert Baker, who had taken my phone call. He explained the diagnostic process, options, warranties, and prices, then gave me a call within 2 hours to confirm that my hard drive was "dead". He felt like the new one we had chosen could be installed and ready for pick up by the end of the day. I elected to pick it up the next afternoon, and at that time was given a demonstration of its operation and an explanation of my bill, which was exactly the amount we had discussed. Everyone from the business owner down was so friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Dougwoody, and I'm happy to have found people I trust to do this kind of work.
Description of Work: My laptop had been running extremely slowly, and finally would only give me an error message. I had never used a computer repair service before, and was impressed with the Angie's List reviews of Dougwoody. The technician who took my call was friendly, patient and helpful, so I decided to give Dougwoody a try, and took my laptop to the Hwy 41 location.

+ 1 moreThe service technicians came out and did a site survey to determine the best places to install the cameras and the DVR for the surveillance system. After we agreed on what would be done, they ordered the system and showed up to install it a couple of days later. They had to cut two holes in the walls in order to run the cables and move the main cable drop, but they patched them and you can't even tell where the cuts were made. Had two cameras that were intermittent so they ordered replacement cameras and installed them. They made sure the system was viewable on our phones and computers.
Description of Work: Installed a 8 camera security surveillance system.

+ -1 moreOur laptop had issues with some software that was using all the available RAM. I called Doug and he explained to me some of the possible problems. I took the laptop to him and he was able to identify the particular program that was running in the background that was causing the problem. He continued to tune up the computer by removing unused programs and clean up free space on the hard drive. He noticed that the hard drive was having issues and did some more troubleshooting to determine that the hard drive was also causing our computer to run slow. We left it with him and he installed a new 128 GB Solid State Drive and moved all of our programs and files to the new hard drive. He completed all of this in about 3 hours. Excellent service.
Description of Work: Install a new solid state drive, copy operating system and all programs to new drive, and tune up our laptop.
