 + -1 moreSpace was limited and the project obviously was complicated by the presence of dry wall and other components of the home. Johnny Stine, the sale guy, was fantastic. He took a lot of time to understand what I wanted and then worked with Jeffrey, a lead installer, to make sure they could do what I wanted. We had a plan. The install team arrived on time but with no Johnny or Jeffrey. I was apprehensive that what we had discussed may not have been communicated correctly to the install team. Boy was I wrong, Jerry Z., Samuel M. and Aley Y. knew exactly what the plan was and explained it to me perfectly. The level of communication between sales/design and the install team was perfect. To make it better, the install went off without a hitch. Dry wall damage (it had to happen to do the install) was a minimum and the system is fantastic. I have found my HVAC company. Could not be happier.

Comfort Consultant Juan Galvan provide the quote and gave me several options on what I could replace my system with and optional items that I may want to consider. Juan was very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions completely. Jerry and the rest of the install team did a great job installing my new system. They showed up on time and worked quickly to get my new Trane system installed and running. After they were done they cleaned up completely and showed me how to operate the new thermostat. They were very patient with all of my questions about my new Trane HVAC system.

 + -1 moreIt went very well. The technician (Travis) showed up and was very professional. He quickly diagnosed our problem; we needed two new capacitors and Freon. He answered all of our questions and got things taken care of right away.
Description of Work: We called in a panic because our A/C stopped working. The woman I spoke with told me someone would be able to come to the house today (which was a Saturday after hours). We needed to have our problem diagnosed and resolved.

 + -1 moreSamir listened well to our description of what was happening. When I said that the problem always seems to crop up on the hottest days when we need the air con the most, he thought that the problem may have to do with the refrigerant, and pressure building up on hot days (?). He thought the problem could be due to too much refrigerant, or stem from a faulty thermostatic expansion valve, and was calling the manufacturer for debugging. Since they couldn’t get back to him at that time, he recovered some refrigerant at the time, which I guess reduced the pressure, and promised to call back to update us after he spoke with the tech support (which he did). In the end, just recovering some refrigerant seemed to help a lot. On hot days, the temperature can be brought down to the thermostat setting, and there is happiness in the house now. All of this was done at no charge due to the warranty (Trane unit), and the company as a whole, from the scheduler to the serviceman, was very professional and knowledgeable. I would definitely call upon them again, even if out of warranty, and would recommend them to others.
Description of Work: Have periodically had trouble with upstairs air con unit (still under warranty) not putting out cold air. However, problem was intermittent, and sometimes would work. In fact, when Stuart Pro came out previously, it worked fine. To their credit though, when we called back again, they did not ignore us, but sent out one of their most experienced technicians (Samir). The unit again worked when he arrived, but as he ran all the diagnostic checks, noticed that the outside condenser was transiently turning on, and zeroed in on a high pressure switch that kept getting stuck in an open position that shut the condenser down. We thought the problem was fixed, and it was for a while. But then about a month later, had the same problem, and they came out again.

 + -1 moreThe basement air conditioner was not blowing cool air. I knew this was the capacitor. I called the company and they sent a technician who arrived very late (around 6pm in the evening instead of 2pm). He fixed the capacitor quickly and was well qualified and friendly. My surprise came when he quoted me the total price. The service charge - I was aware of. But the capacitor - he charged me $140+. I showed him that the capacitor cost $20 on amazon and other places. He said he agrees but that is the rate at which his company sells it. He showed me the rate card. This is extremely aggravating. I would not call these guys anymore.

 + -1 moreWe had called a place that is one of the biggest places in Georgia and they put us on a list and said that they would call us back in 24-hours. I told them that that would not work and we needed somebody to fix it now. We called Stuart Pro Air and they sent somebody right out. The price was very reasonable. It was a Sunday and we did not really pay any extra because it was a Sunday. We just paid for the service.
Description of Work: We started using Stuart Pro Air when our furnace went down in the middle of winter.

 + -1 moreEvery time we call them, they will send somebody right out. They are very professional. They do a great job. They are some of the most polite people I have ever met and they are reasonably priced.
Description of Work: Stuart Pro Air is who we use. We had our HVAC system replaced and we have a contract with them to do yearly maintenance. They came out the last time and cleaned the air filters and the HVAC system. They inspected it and made sure that everything was running right.

 + -1 moreI was very thorough in the process and obtained about 7 total quotes. Stuart Pro Air was the second quote I obtained and the salesman was very patient throughout the process as it took a couple of weeks to finally decide and move forward. I knew they quote they provided was going to be hard to beat, but I believe in doing my due diligence. This company was the best price although there were a couple others within close proximity, the equipment provided was top notch, and the installation was great. They salesman emailed me anytime new information was available and has touched base to ask about how it went. The installers were there all day and were patient and professional. They took the time to answer any questions I had. The system, so far, works wonderfully. The warranty is better than most other companies offer. Ultimately, the choice was pretty easy and I'm very happy with it. I would absolutely recommend this company.

He initially offered to test and troubleshoot the problem but did something most people do not: he listened! He was very attentive to my description of the problem and the history of repairs for the unit. He was quickly able to verify the problem, and he recharged my air conditioner. He was courteous, professional, and friendly. I have also had a good experience with their service contract in the past.

 + -1 moreNEVER CALL THEM AGAIN! I called and made an appt for an estimate of fixing the air conditioning unit which had gone out. A young guy, Randy, showed up for the estimate; my husband met with the "technician" After 20 min of conversation, Randy was unable to tell how much it would cost to replace the unit. He was not able to diagnose the problem and then he insisted on charging us $75 for the visit. The description of 'work performed' on the form he gave us said "customer wants to talk to Antonio about getting a new AC side of system" so essentially he performed no service. My husband put it on our credit card. I called Stuart Pro Air to tell them they clearly misunderstood our agreement, we only wanted an estimate, they charged us for no service and they were not to charge our credit card under any circumstances. They said the Serv Mngr would have to call me back.

 + -1 moreover all it was too expensive for the age of the unit. The problems were fixed but only after I double checked their work. Air handler is not sealed as it was when originaly instaled.
Description of Work: Company did original installation@ 2009. Called them to come check non functioning unit. Replaced capacitor $110 dollar part should have lasted 10 years but only lasted 3 years. Hit me with $140 service charge. Then said the unit was low on freon and needed a coil check for an additional $100. the coil check took 10 minutes with an obviously bad diagnostic equipment. Told me that the coil was bad and several had been replaced in the neighborhood. all installed by this company. A poor installation will cause the coil to go bad prematurely. They did the original installation. They then informed me that the coil replacement was $400.they came back and performed the work several days later. I actaully paid a little bit less than 400 for the coil replacement. When the tech was ready to leave I checked his work. He had left a pipe uncapped and had not fully sealed the air handler. the tech said thanks fro reminding me about the cap and put one on. He never resealed the air handler properly. I paid all the fees and the work was done , mostly to my satisfaction. It still burns me up that the AC they installed needed $800 in repair after three years of service.

 + -1 moreIt couldn't have gone any better. From the time I called to make the appointment to the time the technician left, everything was handled professionally. There were no hidden charges or attempts to sell us anything else. The technician arrived on time, was courteous, polite, articulate, and very knowledgeable. He spent a couple of hours, at least, doing his job. Once he was finished, he went over the list of all he had done and answered all our questions fully. The air conditioning is noticeably cooler and everything is working fine.
Description of Work: I contracted Stuart Heating Services to perform a check -up of the central air conditioning system in my home (2 units). The list of services performed by Cody, our technician, is too long to describe here. However, this system had never had such a comprehensive service performed and also explained to us so well afterward. In total, the cost would have been approximately $140.00 but I ended up paying more because I decided to buy a service contract for the year, which includes three service appointments, and which ended up being more economical.

Called them about 8:30 today (6/25/2012)... original time estimate was for 1pm to 5pm today..... got a call back saying they are on their way... was here by 9:30, repaired by 10:30.. Steve the repairman was extremely pleasurable and confident. And because of Angie's list, the service call charge of $75 was waived with the repair... This was a real relief to us to get this repair done so quickly and so inexpensively..Thanks Angie's List... Thanks Stuart Pro Air...Jerry and Diane Upchurch

 + -1 moreWhat impressed us the most about Stuart Pro Air is that they genuinely seemed interested in only repairing what needed to be repaired. We actually had two different men come out to the house to do estimates because the first worker couldn't replicate the problem we were having and, thus, didn't feel comfortable jumping to conclusions and replacing what he thought MIGHT be the problem. He promised that we would not be charged for another estimate if the problem came up again, and the company held to that promise. When the central air stopped working again the next day, a new worker was sent out who was able to replicate the problem and then performed the replacement of the motor.We were very impressed that the first technician was honest about the fact that he didn't want to proceed with a repair when he wasn't 100% sure of the problem. It increased our confidence in the company 10-fold!
Description of Work: They replaced the blower motor on our central air fan. Very quick and professional!
