Rod came out and quickly diagnosed the problem. The part we needed was not readily available, so he made a trip to the plumbing supply store and had to order the part for the shower and faucet. When he came back with the parts a few days later, he repaired the shower, but the faucet handle was not the right part. He went back to the parts store with my old handle & discovered that they did not even carry the right part. They found the part on another website. Rod never charged me for the travel time back and forth to the parts store (twice) and fixed the shower. I decided to order the faucet handle online myself, which saved a little bit of money too. Rod is a great guy and is very honest. He made a point to say that he wouldn't charge me time spent finding the parts.... which were very hard parts to find. (The plumbing fixtures in my house are old and builders grade, unfortunately). Rod is highly recommended in my old neighborhood & whenever anyone needs a plumber & posts a question on the neighborhood message board, Rod is ALWAYS recommended by multiple people.
