Thorough and professional with a recent home inspection. He uncovered a few potential big ticket items including termite damage the homeowners did not disclose. We wound up walking away from the home purchase after the sellers were unwilling to negotiate on repairs and owe it all to Mike for finding the issues. He was friendly, approachable, and very knowledgeable. He was on time, took the necessary time to inspect thoroughly inside and out. Provided what I believe to be a quality home inspection and report.

We had a situation that required an inspector who not only did exactly what they said they'd do, they had to do it in an extremely tight time-frame. The sellers of the home had been burnt by a previous potential buyer and only gave three weeks to close the house and 7 days of due diligence. To add to this, we were going to be out of town starting on the 7th day of that diligence period. I called a few inspectors who either couldn't meet our schedule or would take days to provide our report. Mike and Glenda assured us that they could not only inspect the house within our time-frame, but the report would be online that evening. Glenda was extremely pleasant on the phone and everything was handled efficiently and perfectly placing the order and paying the bill through their online portal. Mike arrived perfectly on-time on the day of the inspection and it took 3-4 hours to inspect our 4,000+ square foot home. I've had 8-10 homes inspected over the past 30 years and Mike was the most professional inspector I've ever dealt with. He worked hard, discussed with me the pertinent points without over-supplying information and kept an upbeat, professional attitude throughout the inspection. Also, his engineering background is proven by his vast knowledge. The best part... at 2:30 that afternoon, my full report was online for me to review, print and a link was also sent to my real estate agent, so we could review the issues together. Mike's report was excellent, broken down by moderate repairs (thankfully, I didn't have any serious repairs), minor repairs and informational items. Everything was referenced with highlighted pictures, allowing my agent and I to have a very productive conversation. I couldn't have asked for anything more from a home inspection and would highly recommend him to anyone needing an excellent inspection.

Mr. Parkman actually ended up performing two inspections for us. At the first inspection, he pointed out some "big ticket" items that made the purchase of the house unwise. He was great at just presenting what he found and letting us make up our own minds, but he gave us an estimate of what it might take to fix all of the problems with the house. He was thorough and professional and I really believe he kept us from making a financial mistake by giving us important information. I would use him again.

This guy really knows his stuff. He's a certified engineer so he goes above and beyond in his inspections. He has all the latest technology for doing things like locating spots of possible water leaks hidden in the walls and ceilings or where drafts might be coming in through places not detectable by the naked eye. Not only does he really know what he's talking about, but he has a way of explaining it thoroughly in layman's terms. He's also a very jovial and pleasant guy overall.
Description of Work: He was asked to do a complete home inspection for a new purchase. He checked the basic structure of the home, foundation, electrical, plumbing, heating and cooling systems, bathroom fixtures, water heater, siding, wood trim, deck construction, fireplace, driveway and walkway, gutters, chimney, etc. Just about every square inch of the house including basement and attic.
