Description of Work: I urge anyone who is considering doing business with this company to do a public records search of the Gwinnett County state court docket for Jim Enix's and JE Restorations LLC history of litigation. Please ask him for references from the homeowners he worked with in the fall of 2014 up to January 2015 and ask him to put you in touch with the painting subcontractor, the granite subcontractor or the cabinet subcontractor he worked with during that period. Also check out his real estate business and ask him how he can work as both a general contractor and a real estate agent at the same time.

Description of Work: Jim Enix of JE Restoration/Copper Key Homes took 95% of my money and abandoned the job. He said he needed money to buy supplies for my house so I foolishly gave him more. No supplies ever showed up. As a matter of fact, he came into my home and took supplies that were there - along with my own ladder and wheel barrow. He did return them when I called him on it but the ladder he returned was broken in two pieces. My home is a construction site with no electricity, no ceilings and no walls in much of the house. What he did with the money, I'll never know, but his project manager said that he "was robbing Peter to pay Paul." I last heard from him on April 4th when he told me he had run out of money. He had stopped work in January. I had another contractor come in and inspect everything and his opinion was that Mr. Enix had only done about $15,000 worth of work. Some of the subcontractors have not been paid either. He has many code violations due to the poor work that was done and some of the work has to be redone. I am broke now and don't know what to do. I am so very disappointed.
