My home warranty company assigned this contractor. I received a call from them stating that they wouldn't be able to come look at the problem for a week and a half. The receptionist told me that I would receive a call between 11 and 5 on the agreed upon date indicating that the contractor was on his way to the appointment. The day of the appointment came and went and I did not receive a call between the agreed upon times. At 8 o'clock that night, I received a call from the contractor asking if I was available. I was not, since I had made myself available between 11 and 5 as we had agreed upon originally. The next day I called Electric Plus to reschedule the appointment, and they would not schedule me in before the Wednesday of the following week. I spoke with the manager, and asked him if indeed he was indeed asking me to wait one more week for an appointment because his contractor did not show up between the agreed upon times. He condescendingly told me that his workers were extremely busy at this time, and that he couldn't do anything. I pressed him, and he finally told me to find another company to do business with, which I promptly did when I hung up the phone. A two week wait time is unacceptable, especially when their contractor is the one who missed the appointment. Obviously, customer satisfaction is not a priority.

They called immediately after I filed my warranty claim to set up service which I thought was a good sign. They offered me an appointment on Thursday 12-5. I had to work so I asked for an appointment on Friday morning and was offered an appointment from 8-11. At 1030 Friday morning I called to make sure they were coming as I had not gotten a call and was told that the appointment was 12-5 not 8-11. When I began to explain that they had made a mistake and that I had to work and could not be home 12-5 she yelled at me told me I had a bad attitude and put me on hold before I could finish my sentence. Then, the same woman (who was still on the line when I was speaking to someone else) yelled at me again and called me bipolar (while she was the one screaming and yelling). After having me in tears because I had to take off work this morning and couldn't stay after 12 for them to come out they refused to come out to fix the garage door at all. I called the warranty company to file a formal complaint and requested that this company be removed from their service list. I also have a recording of the call where she screamed at me and called me names and where I did not yell at her at all as she claims. My next step will be to file a Better Business Bureau report and place as many online reviews as possible to warn people about this company. It is no wonder that the other reviews on Yelp and Google are poor as well...

Electric Plus provided a similar door to the original. Replacement work was performed efficiently. I would definitely call Electric Plus for any future garage door needs.

The Electric Plus in Buford answered my service call. I can't say enough good things about this company. They were sent out as part of my Home Warranty Service. Jeff did a great job, he was very professional and spent a great deal of time explaining my options to replace the fan. I would not only use them again through my Home Warranty Plan, but if I ever need electrical work outside of the plan in the future I will be sure to call Jeff and Electric Plus.

Just awful! Beware of a professional scam artist at work!! Contacted Electric Plus to fix our 16 year old garage door opener that had stopped working. Luckily, I thought we would be covered by a warranty plan that we had purchased. Electric Plus sent a technician to our home to look at our opener. He said that its circuit board was burnt out and, therefore, was the reason why our opener was not working. Surprisingly, the technician claimed that he just happened to have a replacement board in his truck that matched our 16 year old opener and could replaced the damaged one with it. I was a bit surprised that he didn't have to order one from the original manufacturer in order for it to work, but the technician said that Electric Plus gave a 180 day warranty on their workmanship and parts, so I agreed to have him install his circuit board to get my opener working that day. After the new circuit board was installed, the garage door opener stopped working the next day. I called Electric Plus again to return to fix the problem. The same technician came back and, after looking at our opener for all of a minute, he told me that the door opener could NOT be repaired and that a new one would need to be ordered through our purchased warranty plan. The next business business day, I called our warranty company and was shocked to learn that the Electric Plus reported to them that our opener worked and that all we wanted from them was a new opener. It was then I knew we had been scammed. Electric Plus had sold us an off-market part that did not work and, to avoid honoring its warranty, Electric Plus lied to our warranty company by telling them that our garage door opener was working. The result is we have a garage opener that is still not working, wasted two half-days waiting for service calls and now have a problem with our warranty company who believes that we tried to make a false claim. Buyer beware of Electric Plus USA of Buford GA!!

Overall experience went very well. It was initiated through my home warranty company. Part of repair was covered through warranty (gear, but not the balancing). Only part that would be nice was if they offerred smaller windows for appointments. For example the lady first asked about an appointment between 10 to 5 on a Tuesday, which is a large window on a work day. However, when I asked about a shorter window on a different day they were able to make it work which I appreciate it. Arrived during window with a call given before arrival. Technician was very nice and knowledgeable.

Was told that chains needed to be oiled periodically but was then asked by repairman if he could borrow my WD40 to oil it down. Hello don't you think that a garage door repair person would have this on his truck?? Just find this very strange.

He is very knowledgeable at what he does. He is fast and does quality work. Jeff Wheeler provides great customer service.

I had sent an email requesting a time frame for the evaluation, was called an hour before and Jeff, the technician/electrician arrived exactly on time. He proceeded to listen to my noisy door, decided that it needed a good balancing, some lubrication on all wheels. I had decided to have him balance it at a cost of $99.00, and after telling me what lubrication product I could buy, I decided to lube it myself. Jeff balanced the door, went ahead and lubed it himself, saw several screws missing, had some on his truck, put those in. He still was not satisfied, so he check the motor, adjusted the height, it had not been done properly, adjusted the bar, it too was not as it should have been. Jeff did not charge me anymore than the $99 quoted. He said he can't stand it when things are not correct! I appreciated his educating me on how to help maintain my 2 year old garage door. Excellent! And this was well after 6 p.m. on a Friday.

We received his name from another company after that company proved unable to install the door. Did a really good job with the installation. He addressed my concerns immediately and even correct problems from the first company.
