Anthem Pest Control

This company is the worst! Do not sign up with Anthem, they are not like the Orkin Pest Control type services of old where the technician comes into the home and sprays and protects your home. They promise at the door home protection but in reality, it's cheesy outdoor only treatment which in effect does absolutely nothing for pests that might come inside. On August 19, 2022, an Anthem rep named Rex came to my door telling me about their service and what it could offer. My interest was primarily focused on internal treatment rather than the exterior treatment that the company typically offers. I agreed only because I was told that internal treatment was available but only by request. They attempted to lock me into a two year contract and I informed them that I was only interested in month to month as I don't like being locked into contracts with services that are poor. They offered a one year contract with discount providing that I write a glowing Google review for them, which seems now in hind sight to be a tactic. I was sent a contract verification, looked over it and as promised they came out quarterly however ant mounds continued to be built nonetheless. Fast forward to two weeks ago when I called them after noticing small roaches mostly around my dog's food bowl and then on the counters at night. I told them about it and mentioned that I saw on the contract verification that inside treatment was available by request and they subsequently scheduled a technician. Today (Thursday 5/25/23) they arrived and then informed me at the door that the only way that they would treat the inside is that I upgrade my plan and sign up for the two year agreement, to which I responded, "this is not in the contract". The technician then left without treating the house and I called the office to tell them to schedule my cancellation effective 8/19/22 as I was completely dissatisfied with their service and felt that they had been deceptive in their service offering. The rep on the phone stated that my contract stated this to which I responded that I was looking at it and it said nothing of the sort. The rep then said that the contract verification was not the contract and then sent me the actual contract. I mentioned that I was looking at every email they sent in my inbox and had never seen this contract. I would like a full refund! They are now benefitting from my Google review in spite of failing to honor what they promised in their sales pitch at the door. Beware!!!!!!!

Do not sign any agreement with Anthem Pest Control. They will cancel your account, then charge you for a cancellation fee. Anthem did not show up for the last appointment that was scheduled for my home on Friday. Someone came to my house on Monday without calling or letting me know in advance. I was not available at that time. I then received a message from Anthem that my account had been closed due to "refusal of service" and stating that I owe a cancellation fee of $249.

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE - THEY WEASEL THEIR WAY BEYOND THEIR CONTRACT DATES AND CONTINUE TO CHARGE YOUR CARD EVEN AFTER CANCELLING. I CANCELED BECAUSE THEIR SERVICE DID NOT WORK, I CONTINUED TO HAVE SPIDERS AND ANTS INSIDE AND OUTSIDE THE HOME FOR THE ENTIRE DURATION OF THEIR "SERVICE". When I called to cancel I stated that they do not have permission to charge my card again and I would be contacting my credit card company to put a stop payment on their company, they charged my card at that exact moment in order to try to get the charge in prior to me contacting my credit card company. Anthem Pest is a SHADY business and I have major concerns over how they operate and the "service" they provide.

Always on time and they do a great job. They said outside product safe for dogs and so far everything good. Better price on year than other companies.
