AC Pro's

Came and looked at unit and told us he would get in touch with the warranty company and then contact us. After hearing nothing for 3 weeks, I called him. He told me some bogus story about my mother (who's number he didn't even have) hanging up on him when he previously called. He went on to tell me that he had contacting the warranty company and they refused to pay for the service because I bought my house less than 6 months ago, when I'd actually lived there for (the warranty company assured me that he never even attempted to contact them). He then told me he'd send me a quote on the next day, well, it is over 2 months later and still no quote...ended up using a different company who took care of the problem in one day AND contacted the warranty company and got it partially paid for....This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had with any company.

First I'd like to address the earlier review I left on this company - where it was not a good one. However, looking back and having had to deal with Nordyne we've now a much better understanding. Unbeknown to either AC Pros or ourselves the unit came with a factory default - which by the time the company (Nordyne) acknowledge their negligence we'd been out of our home on at least three occasions - and of course you go after the contractor - unable to go after the company of production. The work that they do is quite good and this unit was a new state-of-the-art IQ system. They had to take out all of the old unit - old duct work and start from scratch. Then to find the unit did not function properly - the Christmas time of the year - there were multiple problems. It took almost a year to get everything to work correctly and 90% of this was due to Nordyne and their attitude. After repeated service calls all at AC Pros expense - as neither he nor I were compensated for Nordyne mistakes, errors of omission, delayed responses - for the unit to work properly - it was finally working correctly with some tweaking into the 2nd year - again all at AC Pros expense. During this period of time in the nature of owning a small business in the South employees came and went - normal illnesses things were finally done - and since then things have gone quite well. We've to remember this is a small company with a state-of-the-art unit - so we've revised our review.

It took him more than two weeks to notify the warranty company; so they could authorize repairs. In the meantime, he did not answer phone calls, did not return messages or e-mails. He recommended a replacement heat pump the manufacturer of which has ceased that line of business. He was more interested in selling additional equipment. After being without A/C in southern Georgia for nearly three weeks, I chose another company and had the heat pump replaced at my expense. Also known as SOLA Pros. Avoid this company !!!
