I called Robby on Monday, 2/18, after he was recommended to me by a trusted mutual friend. I left a message for him, and he called me back a few minutes later. We talked about what I needed, and he explained that he might not be able to come by for a couple of days, but he would call me when he was available. He called this afternoon and made arrangements to come by today. He arrived on time and was very prefessional. Another electrician had told me that he thought my breaker panel had been overheating, and he had recommended replacing it for a quoted price of $1400. I had decided to get a second opinion before having the panel replaced. Robby carefully examined the panel and explained in detail what he thought had caused the discoloration cited by the other electrician. He did said that he didn't think there was a need to replace the panel. As he was inspecting the panel, he asked if I had been having any problems, and I mentioned that I had experienced an unusual number of problems over the years with my HVAC equipment. Robby offered to inspect the wiring to my HVAC system and see if it was done correctly. He gave that wiring a thorough inspection and assured me that it looked ok. He also took the time to explain the types of incorrect wiring that he was looking for, as well as features of my wiring that he thought were good. I was very impressed with Robby. He is a very nice man, taking time to explain the reasons behind his recommendations, and he was clearly very knowledgeable. He also came across as totally honest, assuring me that no repairs are necessary at this point, when he could easily have recommended expensive repairs like so many others have done in the past. I will definitely call Robby in the future, any time I am having electrical problems. We discussed his rates, which seemed very reasonable, and I definitely received more than I paid for today.
