+ 1 moreJohn Bower is one heck of a fantastic guy. My husband and I recently completed an interstate move and needed our doors re-keyed for security purposes. I found John on Angie's List and he was very prompt in calling back and made the change over in less that 24 hours. While here we got to talking about our door handles as there were some that had been totally destroyed by the previous owners family pit bull, plus we were thinking of having lever handles installed. John stated he could do the work and promptly pulled out a brochure for us to peruse. We chose a door handle to our liking and John gave us an estimate the following day. A few days later he was back at our home installing every last handle and they are gorgeous. During his time at our home we spoke of other work we want to have done and he's already given us a referral for some of that work. His professionalism is beyond reproach and I would hire him in a heartbeat if I needed any other work done. Highly recommend him.

Description of Work: Seldom can I recommend someone without reservation. John Bowers did an outstanding job installing 25+ locksets in our house that we are renovating. I bought a house with builder’s grade door handles. Many of them were broken, all of them in brass color. Four deadbolts all keyed differently. A front door lock that was falling off the door. After much searching I bought my locks and door handles from Door HardwareUSA.com. in Duluth GA. They recommended that I use John to install all of my door handles and locks and I am very happy that I did that. John arrived on time, with a tool belt that would be the envy of any handyperson on any DIY show. He was meticulous. Every door was fixed to close and open perfectly, all the locks and handles were installed great. He adjusted and planed any door that was sticking or closing incorrectly. He also installed door stops and the various hardware needed for doors with levers. We were installing an Estate Baldwin lock on our front door. Because of the difficulty of removing the old lock, and adjusting the new lock it took two hours to install. But he did a wonderful job of getting it in and looking just right, along with working perfectly. I would not hesitate to use him again.
