the task was fantastic. They were over an hour later than expected but they did call me and let me know they were running late due to an unexpected hold up at the previous job. Very polite and professional. Got the job done in a timely manner. Would use again.

Two guys, one excavated first the connection at the water meter, the second went on his belly and excavated the entrance of the pipe into the foundation (daylight basement). Then they trenched the path with a ditchwich and then they bored horizontally from before a concrete path underneth the path and the plants at the front porch. In about 3 to 3.5 hours they had completed the job. The old line was a 1" polybutylen pipe, about 65 feet long. The replacement line was 3/4 PE bllck line which is standard now. The previous line lasted 23 years (!), until it finally snapped right at the foundation. The gentlemen, Brian was the lead guy, were very professional. Excellent job.
Description of Work: Replaced main water line, Polybutylen, from the meter to the inside of the basement.

I called around and got 9 quotes on replacing my water heater and Greenlee Plumbing beat every other quote by more than $200. I called on Wednesday morning and they were able to replace the unit that afternoon! Brandon seemed very knowledgeable, polite, and trustworthy and finished the job quickly. I would recommend Greenlee to anyone for any plumbing project.

Called Greenlee a couple mornings ago and they called back by the evening. I explained our issue over the phone (our blue poly line had cracked and was turning our yard into a moat). My husband and I decided to replace the whole line from the street to the house, appx 75 feet worth of line. They were able to give a quote over the phone that was less than HALF their competitors and the price did not change once they got to the house to repair it. It was done in a few hours and the ground looks great. We didn't have anything but weeds so I didn't care what it looked like after they finished but I was still pleasantly surprised! Nice folks, professional, quick, great prices, highly recommended and I will definitely use them whenever we have another plumbing issue! Thank you Greenlee!

Brandon and his team member replaced my 15 year old hot water heater. They were very professional and knowledgeable about what they were doing. They put down drop clothes to keep things clean as they worked in the finished basement. They were finished in less than 2 hrs and we had hot water immediately afterwards. I researched multiple options on Angie's List and also looked at doing this job myself but there is no way I could have pulled out the old unit and installed the new unit in less than 2 hrs time and as clean and efficient as these guys. They are very competitively priced as well so it was an easy decision for me. Thanks Steve for turning the job around so quickly. I would recommend them to anyone and will use them again when needed.

Gary Greenlee called me back quickly after I left a message. I sent photos from different angles to him of yard where blue poly pipe had burst. We wanted to replace it completely from the house to the meter, and he was able to give me a cost that was less than the competition, almost immediately, since he could tell from the photos what kind of job it would be. They were able to schedule quickly. Two nice guys came out and were very efficient. They were interested in showing us exactly what they were doing, and why, and when they left, there was very little indication that any work had been done at all! Very impressed with professionalism of all involved. Recommended them to a friend whose blue poly burst - hers was repaired for a reasonable cost less than 24 hours after she called them! I would recommend Greenlee to everyone!

A great job from start to finish!
Description of Work: We hired Greenlee to re-plumb our home, replacing the blue poly from the original construction in 1990. While here, I also purchased a new water heater that they installed the same day. The re-plumb was completed in a single day. The drywall team came the next day and repaired all of the ceiling and wall openings. Greenlee did a great job! The price was much better than others I had contacted. They were prompt, completed the job, and cleaned up quickly. I would definitely recommend and hire them again!

I am very pleased with the services I received, They were professional and reliable. I will definitely be using them for any future plumbing needs!
Description of Work: After doing some research on cost of replacing a gas water heater, we used Greenlee Plumbing. They were very professional, prompt and affordable. They came out to replace our gas water heater after we explained the problem over the phone. They arrived at the time they said they would. They asked all the right questions (at least the ones I knew of after doing research) and quoted us a fair price. Actually, they even post the cost of repairs and any potential additional costs directly on their website. I definitely appreciated that.

Greg and his crew were on time, very organized, polite and efficient. I had secured five estimates and Greenlee was by far the best. The re-piping was accomplished in one day and all repair to the sheetrock followed. Excellent work with the sheetrock, not visible at all. Would reccommend to anyone. Gary Brown

Greg and his team showed up on time and completed the pipe work in one day. They sectioned off everything so that dust and sheetrock was contained only to the areas expected. They cleaned up after themselves before they left and we had water back on that afternoon. Next day Robert and Raphael showed up on time for the drywall work. They too, sectioned off everything to contain dust and dirt and took one day to complete the remainder of the job. When all was complete, the walls looked better than before they came. Very professional, courteous and timely in getting the job complete. Would recommend them to anyone.

All of the plumbing work was completed in one day and the crew was professional and very competent.. The next day the dry wall/painter appeared and also did an excellent job. It is virtually impossible to tell where the cuts were made. It takes a leap of faith to allow people to come in and tear up your house like this, but, after checking references and reading reviews on Angie's List, we were completely comfortable. We, like everyone else we have encountered, are extremely satisfied with their work. I highly recommend them.

Sunday evening we heard then found a waterfall in our basement, coming from a broken water pipe coupling. We turned off the water and called several plumbers. We found Greenlee on Angie's list with Grade A, high marks and called them. Out of 3 plumbers, Greenlee was the first to respond. We ask him to come Monday morning and they arrived early and on time. Brandon, service plumber, fixed the broken coupling and also fixed and replaced a few other plumbing pipe issues, quickly and efficiently. He was very friendly and professional and had very reasonable rates. I believe if we went to another company we wouldhave paid a lot more. We highly recommend Greenlee and will call on them again if we need to.

PRO'S: good gut feeling, competent work, fair price, timely, high Angie's list rating. I think this is a good company overall. CON'S: (Only 2 minor points, not major, but I"ll mention them) - MINOR POINT NO. 1. CAREFUL WITH RUST IN THE DRAINAGE HOSE - The hose that Brandon brought in from the truck (to drain the leaking tank, running the hose from the tank to the outside) had a good bit of rust in it from a prior job, and he arranged the hose to drain out onto the driveway, but there was so much rust in the hose that when it got flushed out onto the driveway, it left a noticeable mild stain there (it's our bottom driveway, and it wasn't too bad, and though we don't mind, I figure others might want to help watch out for this if they get water tank work done). So I'd recom they try to drain into the grass as a standard protocol in the future. Again, no huge deal. MINOR POINT NO. 2. OFFICE STAFF COULD BE JUST A LITTLE LESS SALES ORIENTED - Also a minor point, but whoever I initially spoke to in the main office (not Jessie or Brandon) was fine and helpful to talk to, though he was just a little on the salesman side of things - in a way I don't blame him as it's hard to make a living doing tiny jobs (all we needed was about 2 feet of pipe rerouted), but the guy in the office did push a little for having them put in a brand new water heater (i.e. have 2 working 40 gall. tanks though we've always only needed one) - his main reasons were a) at 13 years old, even our other tank that was not yet leaking might do so before long, so why not replace at least one now?, and b) he stressed that they try to do their work "up to code", and a house our size requires two 40 or 50 gal. tanks to meet code. I know it's not his fault for the creation of this overly-parental government "code," but I had to make the case to him that "not meeting this code" at worst might mean we might end up with luke warm water if we had lots of overnight guests, etc (1 working tank has always been enough for us the past 10 years), but it's not like our house would burn down if we didn't "meet code" - i.e. how critical is it to meet that code if it's a difference of $175 pipe re-do versus $600 new tank? After he and I talked a few minutes, he did say he'd do whateve we wanted, but I can see how (some less mechanically inclined customers) might just say "ok, if you're telling me you need to meet the code, guess that settles it" and end up paying a lot more in this case for a new water heater instead of 2 feet of pipe to make the other perfectly good (though old) water heater work. So I'd just suggest ideally that the office staff push the code thing a little less and let the customer decide. But to reemphasize, I present this as a minor point of constructive criticism for their office staff. The workers who came out were not push at all and easily agreed my plan was fine and workable, which I appreciated, though it meant less short term revenue for their company - I would still use them again, and I plan to call this same company whenever I have future plumbing needs. Thanks very much, Jessie and Brandon, nice meeting you both.
Description of Work: Had one of our 2 forty gallon hot water heaters spring a leak (our tiny floor water leak alarm went off to warn us, thankfully); both heaters were 13 years old, though we really only used one of the 2 to heat water since we just didn't use enough hot water to warrant heating 2 tanks all year, thus one tank basically served as a cold water "prefill" tank that emptied into the 2nd tank. Though the office staff highly recommended buying a new $600 tank from them, I told the office I really thought just disabling the leaking tank and instead connecting the outflow pipe from the OTHER tank to house is all we wanted/needed (and that's what ended up happening - see "pro/con" below....)

Response from Greenlee Plumbing Inc
Here at Greenlee Plumbing we are always trying to improve our service and our customers overall experience with our company. We appreciate all feedback and are very happy to hear that your experience using our services was satisfactory. I understand that sometimes circumstances can arise that may cause slight concern and we address any such issues as they come up. The only way we can be aware of these issues is to be informed of them by customers like you. With that said, we thank you for bringing up your concerns and we have already addressed the issue of the rusty water that comes from the inside of old heaters. From now on all our our service technicians will direct the water runoff to prevent the same from happening to other customers. I also wanted to approach the mention of us having a sales oriented office staff. Our goal as a company is not to over sell you, but to inform you of what your options are, if things may need to be done up to code (the reason for this is not only safety, but because if somebody sells a home, the home inspector will note all things that are not up to code will most things will be required to be fixed prior to the sale of the home) and to do the job for a fair price. We understand that the amount of work we perform is ultimately up to the customer, but we always want to try and save the customer money and provide long term solutions to your temporary plumbing problems. I had a small pinhole leak in the main water line going into my house. This same area had a leak 6 years prior, and I replaced the leaking section of pipe (about one foot) myself. Unfortunately for me, I am recovering from spine surgery right now, so I had to call the experts. I called Greenlee Plumbing based on their Angie's list reviews and explained that the leak was small and not wasting very much water. They had a plumber call me back quickly. Since the leak was very small, we agreed there was no rush, and planned for them come out the following morning and fix the leak. Upon arrival and being fully briefed on my system, they quoted me a very reasonable price to replace the entire water line from the meter to the house because it's the recalled polybutylene that was installed in 1992, but now is not the time for me to spend the extra money. I just needed the Band-Aid for now. I showed the guys where I dug 6 years ago, and within minutes they had found the line and the leak. I'm embarrassed to say that it was my original patchwork that was leaking, not the main line. The Greenlee guys replaced my patch with a much more professional looking piece of tubing. They were done within 1-2 hours, and even took care to make the area look untouched. The work area was in a planter near my front door with mulch and a liner, all of which they put back. For me it was worth every penny, because I have a bad back. Now Greenlee will be my first call for any plumbing needs.

Steve and Jessie were able to get me in on three hours notice. They called 20 minutes out as promised and arrived on time. They were both highly competent, worked well together, and got the job done in about an hour. They were personable, neat and professional in every way. They honored their estimate to the penny and were careful in the cleanup. I would have them back without a second thought, and expect to see them again when I start the renovation in earnest.

Steve was a pleasure to do business with from start to finish; from my initial call to the completion of the job he was a professional; he listened carefully to my endless questions and patiently answered them' He promptly returned calls and explained what the approximate time the job would take and assured me of his approximate time of arrival. Not only did Steve arrive promptly, but he finished the job in half the time he had estimated. He was not only courteous and dependable but also friendly and dependable. Prior to calling Greenlee Plumbing, I'd checked with other Big Box stores and a few other plumbing businesses and encountered hassles...numerous telephone transfers, long telephone holds or price estimates pending home visits etc. Doing business with Steve at Greenlee Plumbing was a breath of fresh air...Quick, Efficient and Professional.

I called Greenleaf on Monday. Gary gave me a quote over the phone. He also told me who to call to have the utilities marked before they arrived to replace the line. The work was performed on Tuesday. i got home expecting the yard to look like a disaster area. Much to my surprise it looked pretty good, considering they had to dig a trench across the yard. Even my flowerbed was intact!

We had a leak in the ceiling and after another plumber failed to return my call on the day he was supposed to come to the house, I called Greg and he had someone out the next day and even offered to come the same day if it was an emergency. The guys came the next day and thoroughly checked the entire house, including the roof in our attic to determine where the source of the leak was coming from. Initially they could not find the source but did fix a toilet that had never been wax sealed and puddied the fiberglass floor of the shower to the drain, which had never been done. After cutting a small hole in our ceiling, they gave me instructions to watch and see which direction the leak was coming from as it was raining and there were water IN pipes going both directions from the leak spot. An hour after they left, the water dried on one side of the leak but not on the other. I called back the next morning (Saturday) and Greg's guys drove 45 minutes from another job they were working on to get the leak fixed, which was on one of the T Joints going up to our washer.
