I contacted Greenlee Plumbing, Inc.,?on Tuesday, April 26th,?to schedule an appointment. Steve called this morning, April 28th,to verify?that I would be available. ?He was here a few minutes before 8:00 AM, and in a short time had the problem resolved. ?Because it was an easy fix (simply a washer), he only charged $85.00. ?He had to go into our basement and climb a ladder to get to the shut-off valve. ?Typically, their service call is $175.00 per hour plus the cost of supplies. ?Since my repair was not complicated?(except to me!), the charge was less. ?I have, in the past paid exorbitant fees for plumbing repairs, so it was particularly nice to feel that I was treated fairly. ?I would definitely use this company again for more complicated plumbing repairs, simply because of the trust factor...and I would ask for Steve. I only wish I had known of this company when we had a water leak repaired (from the meter to the house) because the cost was outrageous...resulting in?my hunt for a new plumber!! Angie's List was particularly helpful!

After much research and talking to other companies, I called Greg Greenlee at Greenlee Plumbing. I got an estimate over the phone and we scheduled the work to be done within the week. The work was scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, but we changed to Saturday and Monday. John led a team of four (total) plumbers who replaced all the piping in one day. They spent a great deal of time and care doing prep work to minimize the drywall dust particles getting everywhere. I was surprised and appreciative of all the prep work. They cut about 20 holes in the ceilings and walls, but you wouldn't know it if you saw how the place looked when they finished. I made a point of showing my wife all the holes they cut and what they were doing. She could not believe how everything looked after the drywall and painting people left on Monday. In fact, the drywall/painting crew (two people) did a couple of extra touch up items for us that really saved us additional work in the future. We were impressed. Needless to say, we are very pleased with the work done by Greenlee. As a former realtor, I knew the process, having seen it performed before. But I was amazed at the speed and professionalism of John's crew. Additionally, since we were embarking on a two-bath remodeling process, I asked several questions about the plumbing that John and his people gladly answered. It was educational and helped us better plan for the upcoming remodeling work. We found one minor mistake in the process. The drywall/paint crew missed patching a small hole that the plumbers had cut in a downstairs bath behind the toilet. I hadn't seen it either; however, they came early the next day, even though they were on another job, and completed the work. We also noticed later as our remodeling began that the plumbers routed the supply lines in the vanities through the floors instead of through the back wall. That will give the vanity installers some additional work and give us a little less floor space in the cabinets, but it's not a major problem for us.

Fabulous - problem resolved without a visit. Theses guys are the best!!!
Description of Work: I sent an email request around midnight on Saturday asking for someone to contact me about an odor coming from my disposal. I had already hired another Angie's List plumber a couple weeks prior who said I just needed to run some disposal cleaner through the pipes. I received a call early Sunday morning about my problem. I was asked to take a picture of the plumbing under the sink. I did and was told all I needed was a $20 filter from Home Depot to fix the problem. Of course we replaced the air filter and the problem is gone.

Greg, the owner, personally set up our job. Jon, the project lead, did an amazing job of coordinating the removal of all old polybutylene plumbing in the house and installation of new CPVC. A six-man crew completed this job in the first day (!) and a drywall crew had all drywall repair--including flawless paint matching--completed on day two. My wife and I are so glad we found this company, as they did an incredibly perfect job in less than half the time several other companies had estimated, all at a competitive price. If you are considering replacing old poly, I urge you to call this company first and last; you will be very glad you did. Icing on the cake: The interior pipes and fittings carry a transferrable 20-year warranty.

My house had a polybutylene line running from the meter to the house, but thankfully all of the interior plumbing is copper. Over the last 10 years, I have repaired four different leaks in the main service line. In late june I noticed another wet area in my lawn; this time it was right next to the sidewalk. I decided that it was time to call a professional. I received quotes from two plumbers and Greenlee Plumbing's price was nearly 50% lower than the other plumber. At first I was suspicious, and feared that they didn't understand the scope, but after speaking with Mr. Greenlee, I was satisfied that they were legit. I later learned that Greenlee does these line replacements so cheap because they have the right equipment and these jobs are so straightforward. Plus I think it's something to keep their crews busy between larger jobs. I called for an estimate on Friday (which they did over the phone!) and they scheduled my job for Monday afternoon. The guys showed up right on time and got to work. It was around 3PM, the hottest part of the day on a day that reached ~98°F. The quality of their work was great. I asked that they avoid digging around the roots of an expensive evergreen in my yard. The crew made a longer trench with a right angle to avoid the tree, instead of the easier straight line from the meter to the house. They didn't increase the cost even though more work and materials were needed. They also noticed that the copper stub coming out of the slab was severely crushed and probably limiting my house's water flow. They fixed this problem for free. The original quote was $650, but I only had to pay Greenlee $620 because they offered a cash discount of ~5%. I will definitely call them for any other plumbing needs.
Description of Work: Replaced main water service from the meter to the house, approximately 50 feet. The line went underneath a sidewalk and connected to a copper stub at the edge of the foundation.

What happened was I bought a service from one plumbing company and then had that service done, was going to get more work done and we got a quote from them as well as a quote from other companies that I all found on Angie's List, used Greenlee for that first job and since then, I've called Greenlee back for 2 jobs. They've been great. It was a great job of service recovery.
Description of Work: I've used Greenlee Plumbing. We had a water main break. The first thing they did was they replaced the water main in our front yard. That broke and under warranty work, they came back and fixed it within 12 hours of reporting it.

Excellent! The plumber from Greenlee (Todd) was just a bit early, very professional, cordial, knowledgeable, and got right to work. Everything was fixed/corrected; he worked efficiently and kept everything clean and neat. I had never used Greenlee before, but I will be using them in the future as my "go to" plumbing company.

John Chappell and crew showed up when they said they would be there, were polite and professional, worked quietly (no yelling, loud music, etc.) and efficiently, cleaned up the debris, and did a great job. They even fixed the drywall that had to be removed to replace 3 fixtures. We can't even tell they were here, except we have new pipes, fixtures, and no blue water from the copper corrosion. And they charged a very reasonable fee. I unequivocally recommend Greenlee no matter how complicated, or simple, the job. We will definitely use them again.
Description of Work: We contracted with Greenlee to re-plumb the half of our house that still had copper pipe that was corroded from years of acidic well water. The job was fairly complicated involving replacing a lot of copper pipe, shower fixtures, sink fixtures, pressure tank connections, filter connections, outside bibs, and acid neutralizer tank connections.

I was absolutely in the dark on what a major water leak will cost. Greenlee was spot on with their quote and the amount of time it would take... and their quote was 1/3 of the other estimates. Very honest and dependable group that does not try to take advantage of a difficult situation. I highly recommend Greenlee.

First of all I will tell you that this is the first time I had used Angie's List to actually call a provider for a problem. I researched the plumbers that said they serviced my area of town and called Greenlee Plumbing because they sounded great from their reviews. They did not disappoint. The pilot light on our water heater had gone out during a big storm where we lost power and for some reason it knocked the pilot light out on the water heater. It was an electrical starter and we could not get it re-lit. I called Greenlee and spoke to Steve Johnson and he very kindly walked me through the steps to try and fix it. He stayed with me on the phone while I did it and helped me step by step. It worked and we fixed the problem. I was so thankful. He did not want any money and was very glad to have helped. I am a single mother on a fixed budget and I could not have been happier as I was dreading having to pay an expensive plumber bill. I will be using them for all my plumbing issues in the future as well as referring them to all my friend and neighbors. Thank you Steve Johnson at Greenlee Plumbing!

We had a broken water pipe at approximately 9:00 PM during the cold spell last winter when everyone was having the same problem. We contacted approx. 4 contractors on your list, but they were all swamped with calls and could not get to us that night. Greenlee was swamped also, but he had some sub-contractors working on broken pipes in Canton, Ga. He contacted them and the were at our house by 11:30 PM. They made a temporary fix and came back the next day and completed the job. They did not do the best job, but they enabled us to stay in our house and they did not overcharge us.
Description of Work: We had a busted water pipe late at night during the extremely cold weather. We called several contractors from your list, an Fixed broken water pipe in garage. and they were all swamped with prior calls for service. However, they all did calllllllll us back when they were available. We would have had to leave our home in we were unable to get help. We called Greenlee at approximately 9:30 PM. They had someone out there by 11:30 PM and made a temporary patch., and then came came back and finished the repair on Sunday. I don't know if I would use them again for a large job. but we were certainly glad they were available. I do know that these plumbers were sub-contractors for Greenlee - He was like everyone else and was swamped with calls. bac

Overall very pleased with service, and it was several hundred dollars cheaper than other 5 bids (all about $1000). Day of service tech was prompt, professional and service was completed quickly. Only hiccup was that on first date the service had been scheduled the techs showed up thinking we had a water leak, and didn't have a water heater with them. Their scheduling somehow got our service call mixed up with someone else, but we rescheduled for a couple days later and everything went smoothly after that.

I sent a message through Angie's List for the provider to call my husband on his cell phone, but considering that it was Sunday, didn't expect to hear back until the following Monday. To my surprise, Gary called about a half hour later, had my husband walk the yard and give him details of what we needed done and gave us a quote over the phone. We made an appointment for 1 pm the following day to have the work completed. While the installers did not arrive until 3pm, they were consistent in calling to let us know that they would be late and gave the reason why. Once they arrived, the work was completed neatly and in a timely manner. They had to unexpectedly trench through a flower bed, but dug all plants up carefully and then planted them back the way they came out. I would definitely hire them again.
Description of Work: Replaced approximately 120 feet of polybutylene piping in yard.
