Great job, in and out in less than two hours. But, $525.00 for labor and $15-$20 in part is excessively high. For people that have the finances it's a great deal, but for the average person the cost is over the top.

The young men who came to my house were prompt and courteous, but as soon as they walked in, they asked to check the water pressure. This was before they even assessed my requested job. That seemed very odd, since I had hired them to replace a p-trap under the bathroom sink, and that has nothing to do with the water pressure. After some discussion, I agreed to have it checked. Then they asked to see the water heater. I finally found out they were looking for the pressure regulator (out by the meter). No surprise to be told the regulator wasn't working. Cost to replace: $400+ for the "cheap" model and $800+ for the "good" model. (Some regulators are very expensive, but most can be purchased at any hardware store for less than $100.) I declined their offer of replacement, then was told that after the "inspector" came, I could call them and they would return. Our city recommends, but does not require, regulators, so I have no idea what that meant. When the bill was being prepared, I noticed a regulator laying next to the paperwork. When I asked about it, I discovered that an attempt had been made to install the regulator on my water heater, but was unsuccessful due to a lack of space. This was done without my knowledge or consent. They satisfactorily performed the job for which I hired them, but I strongly resent the attempted upsell. Since this was the first thing mentioned after entering my house, I believe these technicians arrived with an agenda that didn't match mine. I will eventually buy a gauge and check the pressure myself. However, if the regulator does need to be replaced, it will be done by a different company.

I had a plumbing issue at my home. There were leaks in the plumbing manifold upstairs. Ben Franklin (Garner Plumbing) came out to look at the problem. After looking at the leak, I was told that water pressure valve was the problem and paid 460.00. The valve was replaced. Once the water was turned on the leak became worse. There were multiple leaks with much more water spilling. The guys then said that the manifold was the problem and they would call their supplier to find one. I was also told that they were moving to a new location and couldn't come back until Monday. I never heard from them again. I called and spoke with a lady at the office who told me that the manager was out and she would have him call me back. I never heard back from the company. I called another company out to look at the issue. Right away I was told that the manifold needed to be replaced. I paid the company 350.00 to fix the leaking manifold. The pressure valve was not needed to fix the problem. The manifold should have been fixed by Ben Franklin instead of the pressure valve. They took my money and ran off! I want a full refund. These people are nothing but thieves!
