This review only covers a sampling of the work performed - covering all of it would require a book. $21,500: Window Installation: The price included 15 double hung windows and 3 basement windows from Marvin, removal of the old windows, removal of the old exterior trim aluminum covering and caulk, cleaning and painting the exterior trim, installation of the new windows, and fabricating, installing, and caulking the new exterior aluminum trim covering. The price was excellent. The work was completed on time, and the new windows are marvelous. The exterior trim covering was properly installed and caulked. Overall, an outstanding effort. Back Porch Railing: The old railing was painted white, and the paint kept failing, requiring multiple sandings and paintings over the years. We finally decided to replace it with a new railing constructed from wood covered with vinyl. Dave successfully removed the old railing, preserving the old posts, cut the new railngs to fit, and installed them. This was no small task, involving 20 sections of railing, including three sets of stairs. In addition, the post coverings were a little too short, and Dave had to add toppers to them to avoid wasting large amounts of material. The final result is quite impressive - and requires no maintenance! Bath Remodeling: We decided to replace a tub with a walk-in shower, to improve access for my father-in-law, who is 97. Dave completely demoed the old tub and installed the new shower, including all the tile work and plumbing. The effort was completed on schedule and within budget. The tile work was especially challenging, since the new tile had to interface with the old tile. Side Porch Canopy - A freind of ours is an architect, and he designed a unique contemporary canopy for our side porch. An artist's rendition was provided, and Dave took the drawings and turned it into reality. It is quite marvelous, and required some novel construction techniques. Again, a job well done! The above is just a small sample of all the work Dave has done for us, but it should give you a good feeling for his capabilities.
