Awesome, as always. Bryan Dowdie is responsible and gets it done without any problems ever. Honest and dependable. I have no hesitation leaving town while Bryan is working. Have used him before and will again (and again).
Description of Work: Moved several heating and plumbing vent stacks on our roof during a major re-roof job. Did a number of other home repairs on this visit.

On time, as specified. Organized, answered phone. Helped rethink our needs in a couple cases. Took care of buying some items for us as well as doing installation. Work looks good. Would recommend. Don't have my price notes any more; my perspective was I paid a little bit more than the lowest bid but got experience and very good work which to me was money well spent.
Description of Work: We had a collection of handyman tasks for a rental property; install bathroom exhaust, rescreen and paint trim for entire porch, gutter installation work, buy and install an over stove microwave.

Bryan (Dowdy) was very prompt to come and inspect the tasks and provide what we considered to be a reasonable estimate for the work. There was some difficulty and confusion in future communications which resulted in the job being postponed. Once begun, however, the work was done quickly and efficiently -- up to a point. The last task relating to the deck suffered some setbacks. The cleaning was done quickly and thoroughly , and the freshly-cleaned deck looked wonderful. There were some unexplained delays in the staining process which caused further delays due to weather. I. personally, made some poor choices in choosing the stain (not Bryan's fault), which resulted in a final appearance with which I am not particularly happy. I cannot fault the application of the stain which was very well done. I just wish I had chosen better. When the deck needs to be redone in several year's time, we will probably call on Bryan again, but I am going to be much more careful in choosing a finish.
Description of Work: Ironwood Decks reattached some wooden fencing that was beginning to separate; replaced soffit that had become rotten in several places and provided additional construction to (hopefully) prevent such rotting in the future; thoroughly cleaned a wooden deck, railing, and steps; and restained all deck, railings, and steps.

Bryan Dowdie has done dozens of jobs for us... from roof repairs, ceiling/drywall repairs, fence work, to major renovation work and remediation or termite damage with subfloor/joist replacement and new doors. He has a small company and is always on the job or supervises closely. His work ethic is outstanding. Price always reasonable and he communicates well with the owner. I have never been dissatisfied in his work.
Description of Work: Bryan repaired the ceiling and plaster in our 1930's rental condo from water leak damage. He was thorough and came back an additional day rather than rush to paint the job when it wasn't ready. Our tenant was very happy.
It always goes great. I have worked with him on a contract price and a "time and materials" basis. He is comfortable with either and he works hard and is very conscious of time when "on the clock." The work is always quality. I trust him with anything in my house and he is the first one I call. Plan to build a garage soon and he will be the builder.
Description of Work: Bryan Dowdie has worked on our 100 year old house many times. He has replaced/repaired rotten/termite damaged floor joists/beams/bands, replaced old water damaged doors and windows, sealed and caulked leaks, fixed gutters/downspouts, has run phone-TV-computer network cable all over the house, does electrical and plumbing work inside and outside house. Jobs big and small are no problem. If he thinks you are better off getting a professional to do something, he will say so honestly.
