Description of Work: My first contact with Johnson Paving was a return phone call when we requested an estimate for paving our residential driveway. We have a home on top of a mountain in Blairsville, GA and it had a gravel driveway that was so soft vehicles were getting stuck. The driveway was steep and had curves along the side of the mountain. Not only did we receive a detailed and itemized estimate, but the written estimate was clear and provided specific measurements and material descriptions. We had the work done almost 11 months later. They made no change to the original estimate and they worked with us on setting the date of installation. We wanted to be on-site when the work was done so they were flexible when we changed the date of installation twice with three weeks notice each time. We paid the exact amount on the estimate even though they added about 20 square feet of additional asphalt to our driveway with another last minute request from us. On the date of installation, they arrived with a full crew who were all dressed appropriately and were very professional in demeanor. We watched the entire process of installation. We were told they would "try" to have the driveway installed in such a fashion to allow rain and snow melt to run off the driveway into a culvert located near the base of the driveway. We thought this was maybe too much to even ask for (so we didn't, they offered without prompting) given the angle they had to work with and the slope of the driveway. Part of our driveway has a very steep slope down toward the rear of our home. We did not want water from the driveway rushing down slope and into the side of our home. Without any outward indication of markings, flags, tapes or other visual aids, they installed a driveway that causes water to run down toward the base and then makes a sharp right turn right into the culvert. You can not tell by looking at the driveway that this would happen, but since it rained hard two days after installation, I received a clear confirmation of the excellent work of the paving crew. The men were "artists" and paid great attention to finishing details. The finished driveway is a show piece for craftmenship and we are 100% satisfied and will use Johnson Paving of Blueridge, Georgia again in the future to seal the driveway as it ages over the many years of use I expect to receive from it.
