Blue Ridge Computers was established in October, 2006. We have grown to have a sizable customer base of returning customers and new customers mostly on word-of-mouth. Out motto is "North Georgia's Most Trusted Computer Shop". We have a tremendous amount of experience with hardware and software, web based technologies and networking for home and business systems. We lease a server on the backbone of the internet. We save our customers hundreds of dollars on website design and implementation.

Services we offer

Computer repair & installation, professional web design, hosting and upkeep. Sales & Service of all brands of computers - both laptops and desktops. LCD replacement for iPads. We will custom build PCs for business and personal use. We also deal with software issues such as Quickbooks, Peachtree, Microsoft Office, etc. We stock the most common computers parts and have a one-day delivery on most computer parts and peripherals. We can design & host any type of website on our leased server.

Each time the work was done for an okay price. Done pretty fast, when I called to check it was either done or almost done. I've recommended to friends and he's done well for them too. He's busy, so just call and check. Does a good job.

The owner was very friendly and answered all question. Gave me a price and fixed it ,had it ready the next day. That was great you know what it's like not having your PC for a week.
Description of Work: Removed virus and reinstalled operating system .

Unfortunately, we have no record of this person as a customer anywhere in our system. I have requested that Angie's List remove this post as it is misleading and entirely false. Our guess is this person has a grudge against another computer service in the area and he mistakenly found our business here. To give such a poor grade without leaving any comment to support it is suspicious on its face. The fact that Angie's List allows this kind of undeserved and unjustifiable insult to remain reflects poorly on them as well. If you really want to know what kind of service Blue Ridge Computers offers, we encourage you to give us a call at 706.946.4600 and speak to Tim or Mike personally. Or ask our neighbors, local businesses, or any of the hundreds of people in our community we've served over the last 8 years who have trusted us time and again. We have built a successful computer service business based not on slick advertising, but by the old-fashioned, word-of-mouth method. Our good customers know we go above the call of duty for them and we keep our pricing affordable. Our good customers know we are honest to the core, professional, and will never take advantage of their situation. We are dedicated to using our knowledge and talents in helping our community with the ever-changing landscape of new technology. Our natural demeanor is to be friendly and courteous to each and every customer. We open early and close late to accommodate customers when the need arises. We stand ready at the door to assist our customers upon arrival and often gladly carry their equipment out to their cars when necessary. We love what we do and we love pleasing people. Our customer’s satisfaction is worth more than anything to us. Wouldn’t it be nice if every business thought that way?

[removed member name] We appreciate all of our customers that visit us and are friendly, professional and courteous to each one. It is not our policy to charge for general computer questions. We have consultation fees for appointments by the half hour for web designs, custom-built computers or business network proposals, but these fees are always waived when a contract is negotiated. We have never charged anyone for asking questions regarding computer repair or even hinted to such charges. We feel strongly that answering questions is an integral part of the business. With a combined 40 years of experience in the computer industry, our success is due to our willingness to accurately assess problems and give our customers the absolute best advice for making decisions regarding their computing devices. To this end, we encourage questions and often have some questions of our own to ask. Occasionally, people walk in needing computer lessons which we do not offer. Our normal response in these situations is to take a moment and show them on their computers how to find the answers they seek using the Help and Support section built in to every computer. In nearly every case, they are very thankful and often ask us if there is a charge. There never is. Many insist on paying something for our time and will gladly give us $10-20 for our efforts to which we are grateful. And they always say “we’ll be back” as they exit. We have built our business on friendliness, fairness and honesty. We don’t know how else to do it. As owner of Blue Ridge Computers, I extend an apology if our service to you was anything less than courteous and professional and invite you in to visit again. I can’t say I have any personal knowledge of your earlier visit, but I would like a chance to understand more so we can resolve any issue you may have with us. Overall service was good, only negative is that they didn't call to let me know it was ready. Went by to check on the progress only to find that it was ready. Price was reasonable, will use them again.
Description of Work: Dreaded black screen on laptop, 2 memory sticks were bad (had 4). Works like a charm. .
