+ -1 moreThe stove manufacturer clearly states that only those certified in this brand of stove are qualified for installation. The store owner sent a contract employee who arrived dirty, smoking & w/out all parts for installation. We gave store owner detailed map for installer so there would be no problems reaching our home in rural area. Repeatedly driver was lost & calling for directions because he did not receive map from owner. Work was shoddy. Paint was chipped on pipe parts & installer had no paint touch up which matched BLACK pipe. Installer told my husband they needed to go back to shop to get part & would charge us for a 2ND TRIP. We refused to pay & said it was not our problem they forgot part on list. We had zero confidence that stove was properly installed. We contacted store owner who was not receptive to our problems. These unqualified contract employees should not have been sent for installation & regular installers should have performed work. My husband is great handyman so he was able to make proper adjustments to pipe for proper smoke draw.
Description of Work: We purchased wood burning stove, floor model sale. Price was too high compared to other stores. Installation parts were too high. Merchant would not recognize rebate from manufacturer. Store owner told me that they had to report to manufacturer those customers who were in process of purchase in order to be covered under store rebate $100. I called Customer Service of wood stove manufacturer & they told me the store owner was incorrect. The manufacturer honored their end of rebate even though store failed to complete documents for rebate. This store should be out of business. I suggest going to Better Business to see further poor reviews on this company as well as their failure to maintain properly license.
